Small playhouse hidden behind all the bustle of the Third Street Promenade. It’s right between Lush and Anthropologie.

The Porcini test is currently playing at the Promanade theater… What a great little playhouse. It has approx 60 seats which allows an intimate interaction with the actors, you are almost a part of the ensemble… The play, The Porcini test is awesome. What a fun, insightful play dealing with the issues of life, living and love. First time theatrical director and writer Laureen Vonnegut has done an excellent job of bringing her script to life and the amazing cast let her words be heard with the emotions they deserve… See this play!

Had no idea this was here until I went last night to see a friend in play. It’s a super cute, intimate little theatre. The play last night was about a family dealing with the death of a mother who had Alzheimer’s, and I really liked that the theatre was donating a portion of ticket sales to the Alzheimer’s Association. A bit hard to find and Google maps didn’t seem to know where it was – the entrance is just next to Anthropologie on the Promenade.
