The Quilted Monkey

This is a boring story with a happy ending.
I was searching for a Vera Bradley Jewelry Book and, according to the web site, the retailer nearest to my office was the Quilted Monkey. I called and the owner told me the colors she had in stock and held the one I wanted until I could come later in the day.
With a name like the Quilted Monkey, I wasn’t sure what I was going to find, but I was charmed from the moment I walked in to this little shop. There were ADORABLE baby and toddler gifts. I would have been delighted to receive anything from this shop as a shower gift when I was pregnant with my two girls.
There was also a surprisingly large selection of unique rugs. Once I get settled into my new place, I will definitely be back to find rugs for the kids’ rooms. I also saw pretty sheets, scarves, women’s tops, and, of course, a good selection of Vera Bradley products.
The Quilted Monkey was a happy discovery and I will certainly be back.
(Parking: There is one dedicated spot for the store that is off-​street. Otherwise, there is metered parking up and down Montana.)

On first glance I thought this was a children’s shop, but they seem to have more than a handful of other items too. So many adorable little gifts for children, and some very sweet pieces for those of us who are no longer pint-​sized. There was a very sweet woman working here who happened to be the owner of the shop. She was quite helpful and seemed to enjoy her work.
Apparently her brother has a shop called the «down quilt shop» in New York City. What girl doesn’t love a great shop filled with nice bedding?
