Zaine Colour Salon

I’ve had my hair cut and colored here several times. They do such a fantastic job! Yes, it’s a bit expensive but you’re on Montana Avenue and the products they use on you are top of the line. I’ve met Zaine personally and he’s such a doll! He really knows how to make his clients feel appreciated and beautiful.

While my husband was working in Santa Monica, I needed a hair colorist — and luckily I found Zaine Salon, and Melissa at the front desk paired me with Melanie. Melanie listened carefully to my concerns and colored my hair perfectly twice. On the third time I also tried Melanie’s suggestion for highlights around my face — and I like that look even better! Thank you, Melanie!

So amazing! Melanie is the best, super helpful and wonderful to talk to. Plus her work is flawless!
And everyone in the salon is so nice… definitely a place I would recommend to friends. I’ll most definitely be back:)

Came into Zaine after being turned away from another salon where I had an appointment. Zaine (the owner) was friendly and scheduled an appointment the next day for me with Melanie, who was great and understood the look I was going for. Great atmosphere, a little pricey, but worth it for the quality and professionalism.

Besides the fact that everyone here is SO welcoming, accommodating and kind, there are some really talented stylists and colorists here. I was looking for a new dresser since I moved to the west side, and I’m so happy I found her! Melanie at Zaine salon is amazing. She is so sweet, did the best job ever and totally made me feel like a million bucks. My highlights are perfect – she managed making them look super blonde, without making it look like I got it colored. It’s like I’m a natural perfect blonde! Also, she nailed the bangs, and that is always something I usually am unhappy with, because I’m a perfectionist and no one seems to ever get it right. Well she did. Totes coming back ;) highly recommend! Also for what it’s worth I saw Zaine do several people’s hair and he too is very talented!!!

Absolutely LOVE this place! Have been going for 2 years now and I don’t see why I would ever change salons. Melanie is my go-​to for cut and highlights, and she does an amazing job! She always gets the perfect blend of blonde for me, and she really listens if I say I don’t want to cut much. The salon is also very clean with friendly staff, and you can make a day of it by shopping and dining on Montana before or after. THE BEST!!!

I went to this salon with my daughter who wanted to have a haircut. As the hair dresser was cutting her hair, I had an opportunity to observe all the coiffeurs doing their job. I highly recommend this place! They are TRUE professionals!

Agi did an amazing job with entirely changing my hair color from dark blonde to purple!
Also the cut was beautiful and exactly what I wanted.
I’m a freak about my hair and it nice to have a place to go where I know I don’t have to worry!

As a former LA resident, the options for stylists were endless. There was always a new place everyone would rave about, or an up an coming colorist whom A-​listers frequented. I felt I was always on a quest to find the elusive stylist/​colorist who could work their magic on my not-​so-​fabulous hair.
Zaine color salon had been recommend to me by a friend, and after reading tons of 5 star reviews, I decided to book an appointment to see for myself. Unfortunately when I arrived, my name was not in the system (I had someone else book the appointment for me, so these things do happen). However, the receptionist greeted us with a warm smile and very friendly attitude. I assumed I would need to come back at a later date, but at Zaine’s it wasn’t even an issue. The receptionist took care of everything, and I ended up with Zaine as my colorist and Agi did my cut. All I can say is WOW. I don’t remember the last time my hair looked this good. Throughout my service, I had very pleasant conversations with stylists and staff, while Zaine continued to check in to ensure complete perfection. They continued to fill my water glass and coffee cup without hesitation. Just an extra bonus on top of the fantastic job they did with my hair.
The end result amazed me, and I had to take a few minutes once I stepped outside to take a selfie or 2 (or maybe 4 – 5). Thank you again Zaine, Agi, and the rest of the staff who provided exceptional customer service, and a fanatic hair cut and color. I will continue to recommend Zaine to all searching for that perfect place.

I am so happy to have discovered Zaine Colour Salon, which I had such a great experience. I was impressed with the friendly and professional staff. Melanie did an outstanding job with my hair color. I would highly recommend Melanie for hair stylist; she is truly talented. As many hair salons as there are in Los Angeles, it’s hard to find one that has high standards as Zaine Colour Salon.

How friendly and professional. We called on a referral to get a last minute braid for Amber. Zaine was very accommodating. Thank you Melissa, spot on service!

I am a regular of Melanie’s and she is just hands-​down amazing. She’s so talented, understanding and friendly — she makes it a joy to go there. She even made my mother happy with her hair and she is NEVER happy when anyone does her hair! Truly a miracle-​worker! :)

I can see why Zaine gets so many good reviews – the service and the professional skill are top notch! I also know I should probably try out everybody on the staff since they are clearly all 5-​star, but I happened to have a great experience with Darwin and so that’s who I’m sticking with. Darwin really listens to what you want. He really understands the look you’re going for and is going to give it to you. And he’s a doll!

I was so pleased to find Ziane Colour Station. I had just moved from Newport Beach
and wanted to find a colorist I could trust. Julie did a beautiful job. I’m glad I won’t have to drive to the OC anymore! Found a new stylist.

Darwin was so sweet and professional. I got both my hair cut and colored there and he was fantastic. I cut almost a whole foot off my hair and really didn’t have a super strong idea of what I wanted when I went in. He made me feel totally at ease and I knew I was in a pro’s hands. It’s been 2 months and I still absolutely LOVE the cut!

They also carry the best products, every time I go I stock up on shampoos, conditioners, and leave-​ins.
I always leave this salon with beautiful hair and in the best mood!
