First time there and was glad we went on an empty stomach… Loved it! Food was delicious and service was quick, very friendly staff too… I had the Denver omelette and wasn’t able to finish it. Plenty of food for the price Will have to come back and check out the lunch menu, heard the burgers are bomb!

I like the idea of this place better than the actual experience of going there. I’ve been to Flight 126 Café twice and both times I had a mediocre experience at best. The Food: Last week I had the Pastrami Melt and my wife had a ham and cheese omelette. The pastrami was ok but I couldn’t taste it because the bread was too think and doughy. The sandwich was big but there was relatively little meat inside and it was mostly bread. I asked for my french fries well done but they came soft and a bit under cooked. My wife’s omelette was ok, just ok… nothing special but it wasn’t bad either. She ordered her potatoes well done and like my fries they came under cooked. The Staff: Both times I was helped by a very young girl who giggled at everything. Perhaps it’s a nervous laugh but as a customer it felt odd having a girl giggle at us as she was asking if we want water. At least she wasn’t our waitress. Our waitress was attentive and did a fine job. The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is the best thing about this place. Aside from being at an airport the crowd was diverse. There were pilots, bikers and regular families. It was a fun atmosphere. Will I go back? No. I’m in the biker crowd and I go to other airport restaurants which surpass Flight 126 Café in very way. I really wanted to like this place but it’s just not happening for me. Too bad.

Had to try their chicken fried steak as everyone raves about it. Well it looks big but I think they’d be better off cutting a thicker slice and putting it on one plate. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but kind of paper thin and spread out to look like a lot. It was, da wife and I had to take leftovers home bit it definitely would have been better with less real estate and thicker. Right now, Crazy Ottos can’t be beat for chicken fried steak. The wait staff was good and the coffee definitely better than most places. And the view? Well who can beat sitting next to a runway with AT-6’s practicing maneuvers?

My wife and I first went there a month or so ago. Her BLT was fine and my corned beef hash, eggs(cooked perfectly) and biscuits & gravy were about the best I’ve ever had. However, the service was SO #%@! HORRIBLE we said«never again.» See some of the other reviews for descriptions of the waitresses behavior. Yesterday I was craving that hash & eggs, so we broke down and went there again. Huge mistake! If possible, the service was even worse — about 45 minutes to get our food after waiting 15 or so to place our order. My wife’s burger — ordered medium rare — came out like cardboard. The meat in the hash was tough and dry, the eggs were undercooked, the biscuit was lukewarm and undercooked, and the gravy was almost cold. To her credit, the waitress(seemingly the best in the place) did replace the burger remarkably quickly. The people in the next booth, who came in after us, were finished and out before we got our food. And it was more that frustrating to watch(and hear at screeching volume) the waitresses chit-chatting with each other and their customers/friends while we were waiting to order. 10÷22÷14 Definitely never again.

I really enjoy eating here and frequent Flight 126. The only thing better than the food is the staff, very friendly and welcoming. Prefer sitting on the patio but it’s getting harder and harder to do because the civilians(non-pilots) are showing up and taking over! Us pilots should have kept this place a secrete

Pretty darn good breakfast. We just moved to Fillmore and discovered Quickly the lack of restaurants in the area, so doing a bit of a local search we came across this little jewel. Being located at the airport gives patrons a nice mellow view of the launching planes. We arrived at about 8:30 on Sunday and had our choice of seating. The food ordered was fresh and the biscuits were airy and light. I’m a morning coffee dude and I had no complaints about it either. A nice backdrop of the Santa Paula mountains. The waitress was kind and attentive. Overall a great experience. Around 9am the place got pretty busy, outside & in, with a few more tables, & no wait. A good friendly spot. A must try.

We have eaten brunch here quite a few times now as we are regular visitors to the Santa Paula airport. Every time has been a treat. We love to sit on the patio and watch the air traffic. Serving sizes are HUGE, and the menu has plenty to choose from. Service has always been excellent, especially from the dark haired waitress with the beautiful coloured lilies tattooed on her arms. Pricing is competitive — the amount of food you get it is a steal! The chicken fried steak is a hit with us, as are the eggs benedict. Go, you can’t go wrong. Every dish we have eaten has been well cooked and served and enough to feed a family of 5… lol.

Diner like food can be hit or miss so I’d give it three stars for the food, but five stars for the outdoor patio area and location. Nothing beats eating on the patio in the sunshine and watching the planes take off and land.

Great place and the food was great. Asked the Waitress what her recommendations were and she was on point. It was a great place for me and the boys(11 and 16 year old) to have a great brunch.

I have lived in Ventura County a long, long time and driven highway 126 almost every day, yet this was my first visit to the Santa Paula Airport, because I wanted to try somewhere new, and I remembered this place off the beaten path in SP was getting good reviews. I picked a bad day to try to cut back on carbs, since this is a breakfast, burger, sandwich, soup kind of place. Vegetarian options include a garden burger, grilled veggie sandwich, and salads. What I liked: I love outdoor tables, and these are off the road, surrounded by trees which help cut the freeway noise, and has a great view of private airplanes and South Mountain. The service was friendly and reasonably paced, but then I was the only one on the patio. Breakfast is served all day. My grilled veggie cheese was perfectly grilled, and the veggies were fresh. I know, I said I was cutting carbs, but how do you do grilled cheese without bread? I compromised and had grilled tomatoes instead of fries, hash browns, or potato salad. Not so much: sandwich was very light on the cheese, and the waitress called me ‘dear’ more than once. I will probably come back when I am craving hash browns.

The best breakfast in Santa Paula. Huge chicken fried steak and delicious. The price was the same as if we went to Dennys, but the food and service was above excellent. Highly recommended.

Installed shade sails at the restaurant patio. Had to try the grub. Asked the waitress about the chicken fried steak. She smiled and said hope your hungry. Bring it on! Not only was it huge but the best taste ever. Took the whole family for a birthday breakfast another time. This time ordered the ham steak. Same thing huge! This is real ham not processed. Bone in. Again best ham ever! Family all had a wonderful breakfast. Sat outside and watched planes land and take off. Kids loved it. Evie and Ken really have a unique setting with killer food. You got to try it yourself. Derek Warner

After ringing in the new year with a bang at Dargan’s Irish Pub the night before(Booze!) we were ready for a hearty breakfast. I’m a big fan of Café 126 so I was pretty sure this was going to be a breakfast slam dunk. With the Queen of Reseda and her two daughters in tow we made our way to the Santa Paula Airport. It’s New Years day and they are maxed to capacity. The hostess greeted us with a smile and after a short wait we were seated. From my observation there were two waitresses, two bus boys and the hostess. The hostess wasn’t just a hostess, she was delivering drinks, seating people and was busy the entire time. They were in the weeds pretty bad. One more waitress would have been perfect. Had to ask for coffee twice. Food took a while, but when it came out it was pretty good. I had the eggs benedict and hash browns. Not hot when delivered to table. I think they sat in kitchen for a while. But still good. Good hash browns. I was so hungry there was no way I was sending anything back. Q of R had a ham and cheese omelete. It was good too. I think any other day of the week would be better than a holiday like New Years. Good luck to them. Everyone was very nice to us. We’d go back.

Well we had such a great meal and service at Flight 126 Café last month that we decided to go there for lunch today from Ventura. There were just two of us during this visit and again we were seated immediately and were asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. It may be odd to mention but their iced tea is so very good. I ordered the grilled chicken with bacon, tomato and cheddar and my lunch mate tried the corned beef on rye. He said that the corned beef was quite good but that the would order it «hot» next time with no lettuce, but that being said, he still thought it was quite good. My sandwich was incredible, the chicken was very moist, bacon was cooked perfectly, the cheddar was truly scrumptious and the bread was toasted just as it should be, golden brown. It all came together in what I can only describe as a perfect sandwich! Today we had the pleasure meeting and having Sam as our waitress. I’ve read several past reviews from various sites that have been less than favorable in her regard. Perhaps those who judge her so critically do so because of her tattoos or something that we certainly did not experience because quite frankly she was terrific. She is very friendly, quick on her feet for her customers and extremely attentive. I believe those who have reviewed her in a negative light may perhaps just be «unhappy people» or perhaps just impossible to please. Sam, on-the-other-hand seems very happy doing what she does very well. As good as the food is at Flight 126 Café, I will continue to go back because of people like Kim, Berber & now Sam!!! Thanks Sam and Flight 126 Café for another extremely satisfying experience! We will see all of you really soon!

Friendly and fast service. Big portions for good prices. Nice little hidden café next to the Santa Paula airfield. My breakfast said it came on three plates and it was no joke. Delicious!

After a long hiatus, Santa Paula Airport has a café again, and it’s really, really good! After viewing the exciting news on the airport website, I swung by after an overnight camping trip in Ojai to sample their breakfast and relive some of the old charm that was once Logsdon’s. First of all, the facility has been seriously remodeled and updated. It simply looks brand new, top to bottom. It’s a big improvement over the run down carpet, upholstery and décor that faithfully served it’s purpose at Santa Paula Airport for decades. The new digs are a compliment and salute to the old. Second of all, the service was impeccable! Rather than make me wait for a patio seat, they hand carried one outside for me and put it wherever I wanted it. Then I had no less than three servers attending to my every need. Only the Sultan of Brunei has it better than this. And speaking of the patio seating, there’s now more of it. Like 500% more of it than before. They built an additional patio area just West of the building and there are about a dozen tables and umbrellas now. No more scrambling and waiting for one of only two outdoor tables… Now for the food, I ordered the spinach, mushroom and Swiss omelette with country potatoes and biscuits and gravy on the side. The omelette was perfect with the eggs being fluffy, the Swiss cheese being slightly pungent, as it should be and the spinach and mushrooms being fresh and tasty. As a self-proclaimed omelette expert, this was the real deal, and for around $ 9? Amazing… The potatoes were likewise excellent and the gravy was perfect, although the biscuits were a little on the hard side. The portion was enormous and I left completely full for the rest of the day. The only thing I ding them one full star for is not being pet friendly on their patio, as Logsdon’s used to be. There is a large sign on the patio which clearly states that pets are not permitted. This is really sad, as lots of pet owners would probably enjoy Flight 126 Café… Since my dog is a service animal, I was able to enjoy, but I feel bad for other pet owners who will have to pass and go somewhere else. Other than this, I highly recommend Flight 126 Café and I hope they will be around for a long, long time…
