Off the charts good, true authentic food in a family-run, friendly and inviting environment. The dinner portions were very generous and the pricing was an outstanding value. I ordered the Burrito De Marisco, which was filled with fish, shrimp and scallops. My wife ordered a veggie and pork enchiladas, the freshness of the food was incredible. It’s a small, family place, nothing over $ 14 and very welcoming. We will be back for dinner again soon, incredible meal and value.(Dinner for two $ 25!)

Stopped here for dinner and breakfast twice. Service was excellent as was the food. Father in law would eat breakfast there ever day!

Excellent breakfast burrito. They have 4 house sauces as well to kick your breakfast up a notch. All food is fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend it as the locals keep this place as a hidden breakfast gem away from the main tourist strip.

Waited 40 minutes for them to come take our order, but not after we sat for 15 minutes without chips for our cold queso dip. Watched two tables get served that were seated after us. Just, downright RUDE staff! Screw this place.

Had breakfast here. Love the food! Biggest complaint is flexibility. Very limited on substitutions. The large orange juice is a small at another place. Food is good but…

I could compare this place to other mexican restaurants that I have gone to, dish-by-dish, but, in the end, I happily ate everything I got and was not surprised by the price. Server was quite friendly. The people who work here all spoke… spanish, I think. Comfortable atmosphere.

The shrimp omelette is to die for! 30A’s, Destin and this side of the Gulf’s BEST kept breakfast spot. No lines like the Donut hole. FRESH squeezed OJ and authentic Mexican breakfast. AND… Not expensive like everything else along 30A!

A couple of years ago, my family went out for breakfast to try the Donut Hole Restaurant. Line was out the door. So we gave up. Went to get gas and asked the man working where we could go get breakfast. I quote«if you want overpriced, poor quality food, go to donut hole. If you want great prices and great food, go to Don Pedro’s». He was right! The food is amazing and fairly priced. Staff is fun and engaging. We now make this a yearly stop several times a week on our annual family vacation. Love this place and will always come back! The chilaquilas are my personal favorite!

Went for breakfast this morning and it was amazing. The service was very good. Attentive, but not overly annoying. Food was wonderful! Had the chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, home fries, and biscuits. It was so good! Definitely recommend checking this spot out. :)

My husband heard this place had a great breakfast and boy was he right! I was hesitant to go to a «hole in the wall» Mexican restaurant for breakfast while entertaining friends from out of town, but I’m so glad we did. It was very busy, but we did not have to wait on a table and service was prompt and pleasant. Everyone loved their meals, which included the blt, breakfast burrito, and omelet. The least favorite was the huevos rancheros, but only because the tortilla was not fried or toasted(so became soggy under the eggs, cheese and salsa). By far, the chiliaquiles we had on the side were the BEST! Next time, I’ll have that as my meal(which is an option on their menu). Will definitely return.

This place is awesome. Best Mexican food in this area, especially for the price. And they serve breakfast! They make their own hot sauce which is the best I’ve ever had

Pretty good… not jarred salsa and no sign of pace. Like most american mexican joints they use can tomatoes and add cilantro onion and seasoning. Steak burrito is goon and prices are fare:)

Terrible terrible terrible service. We came for breakfast and knew it was going to be bad when we sat down and the table across from us were raising their coffee cup saying, «can we get a refill? How hard is it to get a refill around here?» Should have gotten up and left right then and there. Then our food came out about 20min later and it tasted like salsa out of a jar, shredded cheese out of a bag(seriously, can’t even shred cheese from the block!?), and a tortilla straight from the grocery store. DONOT come here if you want authentic Mexican fare. Seriously. Save your money or if you’d like to develop patience… stay and eat.

I got the biscuits, gravy, and eggs. Jim’s Special. First off, mine was great. The OJ was real and not mass produced. Loved that. My wife’s food, however, was not a great experience. There were three huge long hairs in her hash browns. They were painfully obvious on the very top of the food. Not cool. Good food, but that stuff needs to be checked.

We read all the great reviews of Don Pedro’s and decided we should try, as well as support the local business. Well, we won’t come back. If you want microwaved eggs, Pace picante sauce, stale chips, instant grits from a box, and basically be treated bad because you don’t live there or because you don’t speak spanish, then this is the place for you. Just a disgrace and they should take more pride in the product as well as customer service. We should’ve known after we asked for chips and salsa, was told they don’t have it ready(breakfast), but 30 seconds later they serve chips and salsa to some local hispanics, that this was going to be bad experience! It’s sad. Also, to add to my point above, we sat down and three tables were waiting for their food, we ordered, then two hispanics came in 5 minutes after us, order a steak breakfast, then had their food before us and the others were served… you be the judge, I just say I will choose to go somewhere else next time. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I want to warn those that expect more for the money they spend. P. S. — if you are the owner of this place and reading this review, please change as we’ve been coming to this area for 20 years and have family here… we and them deserve better.

Been here twice in two days during my Destin vacation. The food is awesome And the service is warm and welcoming. They have a great breakfast burrito. I suggest that with jalapeños! I don’t really have anything negative to say about don Pedro’s but if you’re in the area, check it out!

We went there for breakfast and it was amazing. I had the chilaquiles and my husband had the huevos a la mexicana. Both of the dishes were delicious, but I like my husbands dish better. If you want something different other than a regular American breakfast this is the place to go. The price, the ambiance and the portion was right.

Just tried this recently. The tamales are excellent — the real-deal, hand-made — a rare find these days. I wish the salsa was a little spicier, maybe a little more cilantro too, but it’s good. The chips were great — not greasy. The cheese dip was pretty basic — could use some enhancing. I will be back for sure.
