Best Chimney Sweep

After having a bad experience with another (and more expensive) Chimney sweep company whose name I won’t name, but his first name starts with the letter «C» I decided to try Best Chimney sweep (a year and a half ago) and Andy was great. He made recommendations to deal with the issues that was very affordable and his prices were better than the others too!

We bought a house in Santa Rosa and the house inspector said the chimney needed cleaning. I saw the Best Chimney reviews on Unilocal and called to make an appointment. Andy came out two days later. Arrived on time, did an efficient and complete job of inspecting and cleaning our chimney and fireplace. Told me what to do and gave me tips on what type of wood to burn, etc.

This is a quality company with very professional staff and customer service. They came to my sons mothers house to check on chimney and had found something that another sweep company had missed.
Being a fireman safety is my number one priority when it comes to my family. I endorse Best Chimney Sweep and would recommend them to anybody. The are the «best»!

I was very satisfied with Best Chimney Sweep. The owner arrived promptly and was very professional. He took the time to take some pictures from the roof and explained what were going on up there and how it will affect our house/​chimneys. He went over the condition of our fireplaces and gave me few suggestions on how to fix/​beautify them :) He made sure to cover the working areas and gave me an honest opinion on the condition of the fireplaces. I thought the chimneys would need to be cleaned but after he was done checking, he told me that it was unnecessary and everything was in good shape. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again when it’s time for another cleaning.

Used this company to clean our dryer vent. Excellent service — friendly, highly professional, even called in advance because they were going to arrive towards the end of the thirty minute window. Will definitely use them again next time.

I read quite a few local reviews and wasn’t too impressed with anything that I read so I just gave Best a try and kept my fingers crossed. I was very pleased.
The owner arrived within his 30 minute window, was professional, respectful and even took the time to share photos from his digital camera, explaining each image and going over the condition of my fireplace inside and out.
I will call again when it’s due for another cleaning.

Found this company on Unilocal — they were friendly and prompt with setting up an appointment and prompt on arriving. Took time to answer several questions about my chimney, unrelated to the sweep cleaning I hired them for, and good advice on firewood afterwards.
Friendly guys Andy & Joe, respectful of my white carpet! Will hire again when needed.

We hired Best to come out to clean and do an assessment of our chimney. They gave me the best price compared to any of the other chimney services ($ 185) but also were able to come out in the quickest time frame.
Andy the owner was early!!! And so professional and very sweet to my kids. He finished when he said he was going to. Then quoted me for a new damper. After shopping around further, I found his quote to be the best anywhere, even our contractor couldn’t beat the price.
So again, they came out, were on time, and their quote was cheaper than they said. He finished in less than time than he anticipated. He over delivered on every promise. We would hire them again.
Plus his customer service guy, Tom, who mans the phone is fantastic. Even when you get the answering service, he calls back usually within the hour.

Found this company on the Marin County site that lists Diamond Certified companies. Andy Gatley seems to be the owner, he’s the guy that came over and did the chimney work. I think he serves all of Marin, Sonoma and probably Napa.
Really good. Great phone calls, follow ups/​confirmations, etc. On-​time, had all the tools, etc. Zero complaints and would recommend him to anyone.
Oh, one side note. The work to clean out the chimney cost $ 179. You know… that is really cheap. These damn things light on fire, cause serious damage or burn down homes all the time. $ 179 every couple of years should be a no-​brainer for you if you own a home.
