I’ve had the beautiful and delicious princess cake for several occasions. It’s fabulous!

Served a lemon chiffon cake to a top chef today and he said it was one of the best cakes he had! A definite classic cake and we can’t wait to try their other products. It wasn’t too sweet and the sponginess was perfect. We just had it with champagne. A delicious delightful moist cake!

So a few years back I had come in too get a few pastries and I didn’t like the atmosphere or really even the pastries. So a friend and I had a coffee date and she insisted we go here. I explained to her why and she still insisted that they have changed. BOY WAS SHE RIGHT! The coffee was great, pastries were amazing, and the woman with the sock bun was so so nice. I later went back for a friend’s birthday cake and I was very pleased. Must have changed management or something. Great place.

I love this bakery I have been coming here for 10+ years the champagne cake, chocolate fudge cake the princess cake the the cookies and pastries are the BEST!!! I would recommend this bakery to everyone!!!

Great locally owned bakery. I think by now I have tried just about everything they make. It’s all very delicious and I have been extremely pleased with the assortment offered and the variety of cakes. Highly recommend. We now use this for company birthday cakes and pastries. Great job, and Steve is so pleasant to work with and accommodating.

I’m very, very disappointed with the cake my friend ordered for her wedding. My friend wanted a «dummy» cake; which is styrofoam covered in fondant. She asked me if I’d be willing to just cover one tier of real cake for picture purposes only. I agreed. When I placed the order I made sure that the simple round cake was to be just crumb coded so I may place fondant on the top. When I went the day before the wedding to pick up the cake, I was pretty displeased. The cake was not only lop-​sided but was decorated with a border. Thr sides were a mess. Basically the whole cakw needed to be shaved and re-​sized. When I mentioned it to the girl ringing me up, she said «well I’m not the one who made it! «. Since I didn’t have time to go order another cake from somewhere else, I was stuck with it. It took me well over an hour to work my magic cleaning it up. I highly recommend taking your business somewhere else! Also, while I was paying for my order, I couldn’t help notice one of the other bakers in the back who looked like he hadn’t showered in months. His hands were filthy and his long hair was all over the place…

When I was pregnant I couldn’t get enough of their brownies, now it’s their honeycomb custard pie. My grandma would always have one during luncheons, I haven’t seen them in bakeries for years until I stopped by here & it’s a regular, everyday item. My grandma is thrilled when we come over now bearing sweet heaven for her

This bakery is a little difficult to find but I was in the area and was craving something sweet and I saw this small bakery and stopped in to check it out. I really like small locally owned shops like this. I purchased a few of the smaller slices of cakes and I was very impressed. It was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t too sweet and that’s how I like my cakes and cupcakes to be. The customer service was also great and that’s always a plus. I had a great experience and I highly recommend this bakery to anyone. I Actually like their cakes more than the cupcakes at sift. I will be making more frequent stops here from now on. Delicious cakes for sure!

My favorite is the Lemon Snow cake — delicious and very pretty too. Been going here for years; the staff doesn’t fall all over you — no big deal, they are nice enough. The quality has always been excellent.

This review is way over due! But I was just looking at some photos and remembered how great my experience was using this bakery for my daughters b-​day cake. 2 years ago, I ordered a cake, but when my husband went to pick it up for me (a day before the party of 20 tween girls) it was the wrong size. They quickly whipped up another one and he was allowed to keep the small one too. So the next day we got another much larger cake! So my daughter was so excited to have both cakes and they were both delicious and beautiful! I am adding photos! That is great customer service! Every business makes mistakes sometimes but really it is how they recover, how the customer is treated in the process. So they really understand that and take care of the customer!

Steve makes the tastiest treats on Mendocino Avenue … a very cute little shop that is easy to find and park.

Pastries and cake are nice but a little pricey and staff could be friendlier

Ordered a fruit basket cake for a family party and it was wonderful. So fresh tasting and well worth the cost. Everyone loved it.

Ate one coconut macaroon, one raspberry croissant.
Croissant was bready. Not light, fluffy nor flaky. Below average.
Coconut macaroon was better. Moist, flavorful, nice texture and mouth feel.
These 2 items = $ 4.20. Too expensive for the supermarket level quality.

Note: I am a very fair « Unilocaler», and I have never experienced a ruder person than the manager at Cavaliere’s.
I called this bakery to ask if I could schedule a cake tasting for my wedding cake, I spoke with STEVE, the manager. He was very odd to begin the phone call, asking me if I knew someone just because of my area code. Then asked me what I needed a tasting for, I answered my wedding cake. I told him I only needed a small cake, something simple, but elegant and I did not indicate how much I was willing to spend (I was open to a nice cake but didn’t indicate my budget).
He immediately said «I’m gonna pass, it’s not worth my time». I was a bit confused, and wasn’t sure what he meant, so, I asked «what?!», he explained that what I was looking for was not worth the amount of money for a cake tasting. I told him I was willing to pay for a nice cake, just didn’t need a big one. He said «No, go somewhere else». I was so shocked, I said «I’m sorry, I think you are being very unprofessional, all I want is to try your cake». He was so rude and mean, that I just hung up.
WAIT THERE’s MORE!!!
Later that day, we happened to be driving by Cavaliere’s and I thought I would stop in hoping to speak to the owners or find this «Steve» person and tell him I was upset with our phone call. Sure enough, Steve was there and he was extremely rude. i told him that it was unfair that he turned us away when all we wanted was a tasting. He asked what i wanted and I replied «I wanted to use your bakery for my wedding, but now I just want an apology for how you are treating me». He pretty much told me to F*ck off and get out of the store.
IN SUMMARY: STEVE THE MANAGER: YOU SHOULD BE FIRED AND IF I WAS THE OWNER OF CAVALIERE’S, I WOULD BE SHOCKED YOU TOLD CUSTOMERS THEY WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE AT YOUR STORE. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY!!!

My fiancé and I were looking for a Wedding Cake for our Wedding in September. We wanted something traditional and not too pricey. We searched several places which were way out of price range. Two friends suggested we try Cavaliere’s. We made an appt. with Steve and did our cake tasting. We loved the tasting, and Steve was very personable. His prices were very, very reasonable and he transported the cake for us from Santa Rosa to Rohnert Park and set up the cake. I will use his services again and highly recommend Cavaliere’s Bakery!

I am a freak about my birthday cake, so much so I have to order my own. no one wants to deal with THAT nightmare.
I found Cavaliere’s bakery after my first flop of a cake experience. Walked in talked to the manager or owner/​manager. He was short in this interaction with me but was slightly more pleasant when I picked up the cake. I ordered the cake: ½ sheet choco with raspberry lightly mixed with butter cream filling, white butter cream frosting with purple roses. Pick up time 2 pm the following day. I got a call at 1:30 the next day, cake was not ready needed to make more buttercream. I got there at 5 mins to three (they close at three on Saturday), cake still not ready. Cake is finally done and it is pink lettering and pink roses. Get it home. buttercream isnt buttercream. it is whipped cream. Oh and a ½ sheet cake and 2 cupcakes was 65.00.very expensive!

Unfriendly, underwhelming and overpriced.
Ordered a raisin scone
$ 2.60 (not a fortune but a healthy price for a scone)
weighed about 3 ounces, wasn’t sure she put it in the bag–
ok so maybe it would be a good 3 ounces– nope.
Pass this place, turn on Chanate to Café Croissants.

I have been going to this bakery for years. I believe it is a new owner from the original that I started frequenting but they are still just as good. I think their cupcakes were a bit more delightful before the new owner but their cakes are always 100% fabulous. Their homemade cookies are a wide selection to choose from and always deliciously sweet and buttery. Don’t bother stopping by here for a good for treat but if you are looking for some buttery goodness this is the place to hit up.
My only regrettable purchase in like 8 years is their sticky pecan bun. It was dry and not as fabulous as I had hopes for. Other than that all of their cakes I have tried and the cookies and coffee cakes are delicious with the right textures and flavors.
