Contacted this establishment through Facebook to get on the guestlist. Arrived for a night of fun dancing and the girl at the door said we were not on the list. Security told her to just let us in. DJ didn’t start for awhile. Beer prices are ridiculous. Security was allowing family members to bully people on the dance floor. While trying to leave after not feeling safe anymore we were held up at door and told we couldn’t leave. Security laughed and then let us out. This is not a place for the timid. No etablishment should allow patrons to feel unsafe. Will never return.

I to actually shared the same experience is the gentleman named George T. What a ridiculous excuse for a lounge. It’s such a shame that this beautiful real estate located on Santa Rosa square would be occupied by such a meaningless low class establishment. I arrived with my girlfriend about 10PM there were four people at the bar, we share the same experience but walked out far before 10 minutes. The gentleman at the bar on Wednesday night March 11 is a pathetic excuse for an employee. We requested service and he said we needed to also sit at the bar that he had no cocktail servers on staff that evening. I find it ridiculous that in an establishment with four patrons we were literally a 50% increase in their revenue and he couldn’t find the time or the ambition to serve us We will never return

Yesterday I arrived with 5 other guests after having a superb dinner in the restaurant below, Flavor. At 9:45 p.m.there were 2 patrons in this hole of a bar that requires either a slow elevator ride or 75 stairs to enter. No matter the route one took, each had it’s own sanitary and olfactory challenge. The stairs reeked of moldy carpet and pinot urine and the filthy handrail swabbed its coating on all who sought assistance. Meanwhile, the evaluator showered expectant guests with a regurgitated sloe gin aura. Despite the level of their intoxication, the 2 guests acknowledged us a full 3 minutes before any of the staff cast a glance. Having finally doing so, staff then engaged us in a stare down to determine if their laziness would be trumped by our quest for libations.. After waiting an additional10 minutes to be served we finally succumbed and requested assistance. Whereupon we were advised that only bar service was available and only then if we actually sat at the bar. Don’t know if the owner is aware of the service his joint is not offering, but never again. Don’t go there. Zero stars is a gift for this place.

This place is ghetto!!! My friends got beat up there 5 girls, against 3 dude fighting for their women and the staff there did NOTHING after my friend was bleeding from a bottle getting smashed on her head. None of the security or bouncers called the cops or tried to stop the aggressors. Stay far away!

So 2 stars is for the«club» itself being just an okay nightclub in the heart of santa rosa and the third goes to the widely pure entertainment throughout the night watching white trash ghetto local girls in their wet seal and choice dresses that are oh? 4 too sizes too small for their flabbing love handles and cottage cheese thighs stumbling and falling over on the disco dance floor thinking that their twerking and horrific views of whats going on downstairs has the whole crowd(which consists mostly of CREEPY guys) looking their way in awe perhaps with another shot all ready to give them. Ive even seen middle age alcohalics come here to shake there stuff thinking there cool and hip as well which is almost justs as funny. Come here if you want a good laugh or otherwise go over to la rosa upstairs if you want the santa rosa club feel its not as bad but still a joke and a half, thats all.

Seriously never coming here again. I came before the cover was even charged(around 9 pm), and waited an hour to get my balance paid. I stood behind tons of people waiting to get their drinks and the music was so loud(understandable) that I couldn’t get the bartenders attention. I finally said«hey I want to go home» and he said back«do you know what it’s like to be yelled at — don’t ever yell at me!» So I went home. I will never be coming back to this establishment and will never recommend it to anyone. It was an absolute horrible nightmare. I hope the bartender learned how much of a tip he lost tonight and knows how important it is to keep customers happy.

This place is a JOKE! Sorry, but $ 7 for a Corona is way over priced or the bartender was pocketing money from the sale and charging more than he should. The place is really GETTO. Any bar that has to pat down before going in and doesn’t have a metal detector to look for weapons doesn’t make me feel very safe. After finishing my drink I left due to not feeling safe around the GETTO clients that were in the bar. This place use to be a great bar but has turned into a Hip-Hop danger zone.

This place is a joke lol The people that go there are over 30 The 10+ drinks with no alcohol are ridiculous The dj sucked! I swear pandora on shuffle would make a better scene! I feel sorry for people who paid vip!

I’ve only been here once but it was great! Drinks are expensive, as they will be everywhere you go downtown and there isn’t really anywhere to put/leave your stuff while you dance. The dance floor is fun, but it’s a little slippery if you’ve got on heels. Music was very danceable! Downside? HOT!!! It was SO hot, it felt like it was 90 degrees inside, no joke. Oh, and a fight broke out and everyone had to leave. Overall, much better than any other dancing place in SR, personally.

Can I give this place zero stars? Came here from out of town for a birthday party and while we were having fun doing our thing the bouncer comes in with a flash light and starts pushing and shoving everyone. He then proceeds to push and hit people with his flashlight. A confrontation broke out and they asked us to leave. Worse service ever. I will not recommend this place nor will I come back. The chubby white guy with the goatee was a bully bouncer and he does now know how to handle a club situation.

My friend and I took the elevator up around 5pm a few weeks ago. Christy’s is a clean and cozy lounge bar that has both open and slightly more private seating. It doesn’t usually offer any sort of happy hour, however it does offer an interesting selection of cocktails; some are seasonal. I enjoyed two glasses of a delicious and generous pouring of Avalon cabaret. While I haven’t experienced Christy’s as a nightclub, it is a popular venue on friday and saturday evenings. In 2014 I hope that it will have a kitchen staff that can prepare appetizers and desserts to go along with the existing drink menu.

Came here for a bachlorette party… uh yea. It was so-so. I’m actually doing the review while in the establishment. Our largest complaint was the Music. DJ on July 20th refused to play songs from the top hit list. We are a group of girls, we want to hear Miley not weird techo 90’s crap. Just saying. It get’s one star because the ambiance and décor were nice. There were 2 other bachlorette parties and boys were few and far between. So if you have those dare cards, don’t come here to get those accomplished. We left Christy’s around 10:45PM, it was still not even close to being crowded. We headed down the street to an Irish Pub, and that DJ was AWESOME! Perfect way to end our night, dancing past midnight and lots of boys to toast our Bachlorette!

In terms of nightclubs in Santa Rosa, this is about it. It’s silly, but usually they charge cover after 10pm. One time, a group of us got here before 10, around 9:30, and they tried to charge us! They said that it was standard that they start charging at 9… it’s not. We went somewhere else, because they flat out lied to us. They can do that. Beware. On other occasions, my boyfriend and I have come here for a «night out in Santa Rosa» and it’s been fine. As long as you know what to expect. It’s no SF or NYC. It’s got a small town feel and the clientele ranges from barely legal to 50’s. In most cases most people are way over-served and the music is hit and miss. Mostly top 40 and some oldies. Drinks are also not cheap. If you’re with a couple people and like bubbles, I’d recommend ordering a bottle of Gloria Ferrer($ 38) and trying to grab a table. That way you can sit, hang out, and people watch in between your trips to the dance floor. I have mixed feelings on the place. I hated it at first, but now that I know what to expect and it’s not too bad. If you really want to go out and dance, it’s your only real option in Santa Rosa.

We went Friday night after dinner, arriving at about 10:30. There was a $ 5 cover but my husband negotiated for us ladies to be free and we were grateful the woman at the podium agreed. When we got upstairs, the laser lights and music were going; it was mostly empty, but there were some people all dolled up here and there. The DJ was probably about 20 years old and was playing basically the same song over and over again, the music did not appeal to us(we are in our early thirties) nor did it seem to appeal to many other people as no one was dancing. I’ve been here a couple times before, so I knew what I was getting into and honestly the scene at Christy’s just isn’t really my scene. As I said as we left, «everyone was so tightly wound up trying to look their sexiest that no one was having a good time». My husband had had enough beers throughout the evening to get out there himself, doing his signature ridiculously quirky dance moves(one of the reasons I love him is that he just doesn’t give a $#*! about what people think), which loosened up some of the ladies who desperately wanted to have a good time but were heretofore being held back by the DJ’s lack of connection with his audience. Of course, there was a cluster of girls dressed in tight black outfits who were totally unwilling to get loose themselves looking at the dance floor and mocking those people trying to have a fun Friday night. One of the oddities is that they have a bathroom attendant in the ladies’ room, which honestly reminds me of the nightclubs in TJ that are going for«classy» the only way they know how. Christy’s could be such a cool place, one that Santa Rosa desperately needs. It has a great location, a good layout, and a lot of space(how about getting some good bands up in here? Why let Sebastopol get all the good shows?). But somehow it just falls short by trying too hard to simulate posh.

My friend saw that someone had dropped their driver’s license. We figured they were gong to Christy’s Halloween Party so I picked it up and gave it to the bouncer, Matt. He said that it was kind of me to return it and as a reward, he said that my friends and I could get in without the cover charge. So we took up his offer! The drinks at Christy’s are strong. But I’d stick to the cocktails as the wines aren’t that great. The DJ that night was pretty good. I wish I could say the same for the crowd. They were spilling drinks everywhere on the dance floor and pushing people to make room. But I guess I’m just getting old to remember my days of clubbing. lol. I liked the back room where there’s a few couches. You can enjoy the music and peek through the crowds. I don’t know if I’d come back, but 4 stars for Matt for being awesome!

Cover charge for a small bar? Mmmm, ok. I’m from the bay so I’m not terribly familiar with the area and since I don’t know where else to go fine. I get the feeling that this place thinks its in NYC or something. All the guys working the door are in three price suits and the building is highlighted in red up-lights. Alright then. But the main reason for this review is the DJ. He was the WORSTDJ I have ever witnessed in my life. He was trying to do these kind of mash ups I guess but what he ended up doing with letting a good song go for about half way, make it strange for a second then start playing something else. I have never heard anything like it. Maybe its just not my kind of scene but this place is most def crossed of my list.

Ten minutes to 10pm and my gal pal is texting me to come in, «no cover come over» I guess this is supposed to be «THE place» In line, just another fella ahead of me and as luck would have it. stood there for nine minutes and got charged cover. Nice guys to charge the new guy, the tourist. Strangely the line started to grow once the cover started but I would guesstimate that many were there for birthday parties as they had a list out and were checking names and code words and shit. I wasn’t happy about paying a cover. At most this could be classified as a lounge, a destination for an expensive drink and maybe happening upon a few cuties to dance with though there isn’t much space for that, so dudes leave it to the ladies. Music was mostly popular stuff and got the crowd moving. North Bay is a different animal than the Midwest, so there was plenty of interesting people watching for me. No forced dress code is always a good thing, guys out here have no idea how shitty it is to be turned away from clubs for the most minuscule grievances.(Which in some cases tend to do with race, color or shoes; for more info check out the Midwest) I was a little surprised what I got in with, sneakers and a hat. Though I should add, I never dress poorly, my shit matches and I look urban pimp. Most of the crowd on this Saturday night would be aged somewhere from mid 20’s plus. With some mingle-rs well into their forties, though dressed to impress. Many gals in dresses and Santa Rosa chic attire.(A poke for you Jeni) Still the scene was mostly people in large groups. We quickly bounced out and made our way to the next spot on the agenda, Chrome Lotus.

I enjoy coming here for the music and dancing! Wooo! I also enjoy getting all hoochied up and it’s not inappropriate to do so here. The drinks are pricey, but delicious. I would have given four stars if this hadn’t of happened: I called earlier in the day to find out how much the cover was. They told me no cover before 10. I arrived at 9:45 with my buddies and was told $ 5 for ladies, $ 10 for dudes. I explained I had called earlier and they told me there was no cover before 10. They said, ok if you called that’s fine. And they let us in without paying. Lightweight skeezy, hence the reduction in stars.
