My husband wanted to buy me a new 3-​stone diamond ring for our 25^th anniversary. We searched numerous jewelry stores, as well as online sites and distributors. Once all of our research was completed, we decided to purchase from Coddingtown Jewelers… and we are SO GLAD we did!
Mark and his entire staff were tremendous in helping us find exactly what we wanted. They did not have an exact match for what we were looking for in the store, so we basically built a ring from scratch. Brenda was especially helpful in getting us the perfect setting for the ring (3 large stones, along with 4 smaller stones channel set into each side of the band. Then we started the process of choosing the exact diamonds for the top of the setting. Mark and Brenda worked tirelessly and brought in diamonds that met our specifications. Unfortunately, as many of you know, the quality of diamonds within a certain grading (GIA, EGL, etc.) can vary quite a bit. When a new set of diamonds would come in, they would call us immediately so we could come and take a look. Other times, if they got something in that they knew wouldn’t meet our standards, they called and told us that they were going to send the stones back because they knew we wouldn’t like them! We went through approximately 2 dozen diamonds before we found the PERFECT set of stones for our ring!!! Then Mark had their in-​house jeweler set the stones and finish the ring.
Once this was done, Mark called and we went in to pick the ring up. We had already seen the setting, and the individual stones, so we knew we were going to like what we were getting. But when we got to see the fully assembled ring, we were ecstatic! It was absolutely perfect… Perfect symmetry, color and clarity, and it looked absolutely beautiful!
So, you might be thinking that we got price gouged for all of this work and custom building a ring, right? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! In fact, when all was said and done, Mark worked out a price that BEAT every other jeweler or outlet that we were considering! When you consider the product we got, we got a much nicer ring, with MUCH nicer CERTIFIED diamonds, for far less money than we would have spent everywhere else. And, he gave us top dollar on our trade-​in for the center diamond from my original wedding ring (2 – 3 times more than anyone else was going to give us!) So, just because Coddingtown Jewelers is in a mall, it’s not a «mall jewelry store». Mark and his staff make sure that they treat you with kindness and respect, they will work with you on a fair price, and you know that they truly care about you as a customer.
We were so happy with our experience that we took my old wedding setting and had a new Sapphire put in as a center stone. They got a perfect stone for us, did a great job setting the stone, and gave us an EXTREMELY fair price for doing it!
We cannot explain enough how EXTREMELY HAPPY we are with these transactions, and with Coddingtown Jewelers! Mark, Brenda, Melissa and all of the employees at Coddingtown Jewelers are absolutely fantastic!!!

This place is great! Bent a prong the holds the diamond in on my engagement ring and I left it with them, the next day it was fixed. And no charge and he cleaned it for me! Looks brand new! Thank you Coddingtown Jewelers!!! Because of that, I’ll be going there to spend my $$$ on an appraisal for the ring and for wedding bands!!! See you soon!

Now that my new fiancée has received her ring, I can now rave about Coddingtown Jewelers.
Let’s start with the price: I saved almost $ 1,000 by going to Coddingtown Jewelers. Another jewelry store quoted me $ 1,650 for the same ring I purchased from CJ for $ 700.
Customer Service: Mark took care of me. The other jewelry store I went to first said they can get the ring completed within a week. With that in mind, I went over to CJ and ASSUMED the same turnaround time. Well, like the old saying, never assume anything. After setting up the engagement plans, I call CJ to see when the ring would be done. I was told three weeks since the company they were ordering the material from was behind schedule. Well, this is where Mark comes in.
Mark called the company, had them ship the diamonds and shank separately, and said his jeweler would take care of me. This was Wednesday afternoon. I picked up my ring on Friday! Two-​day turnaround time… Doesn’t get any better.

I’ve had a great experience with Coddingtown Jewelers. When my fiancé and I first started looking at engagement rings I had initally found my dream ring ring at Tiffany’s, with a $ 50,000 price tag! Of course! So we went to Mark (the owner of Coddingtown Jewelers) and showed him the style ring I liked. He said it was absolutely no problem to custom make a ring to look like the one I had found. I was part of the entire ring process, from the actual diamonds that go into the ring to the band width and for a fraction of the price. I Love my ring and it’s exactly what I wanted. Everyone is so attentive there, the owner Mark has a real passion for his work and and jeweler is awesome at what he does. I’m so happy and would definitely recommend them!

We have now purchased one engagement ring, and two wedding bands and we love them all. They all arrived on time and when one needed to be returned because it wasn’t up to the best standards Chelsea returned it and had it back to us by the next week.

They have a very nice selection of Jewelry. Quality stuff and reasonable prices. A better quality that most department stores. They also gift wrap. Worth a look.

I am recently engaged and my Fiancé could not have made a better decision than working with Mark at Coddingtown Jewelers. We had looked at numerous settings and couldnt find anything that spoke to us. My fiancé had pre purchased my stone from Mark with the hope that I would find a setting after I liked. I have purchased items from the Jewelery Mart only to have lost stones. You get what you pay for. I will now only buy from Mark. He give you the best prices with the best qualitiy.

I live in Sonoma County and my Fiancé lives in Los Angeles. Between him and I, we both covered several Jewelry stores including the Jewelry District in LA. We wanted to find me the most beautiful ring that had the greatest quality, style, and biggest carat that my Fiancé could afford. When I walked into Coddingtown Jewelers I was greeted by a man who had a great big smile and loud booming voice that welcomed me. He did not try to sell me, but instead provided me with helpful information and told me that «I should do the leg work before making such an important purchase.» When I left I realized that I did not feel pushed or guilty about not buying anything and it made me want to see what they had to offer. After months of searching and comparing prices, I got a beautiful 2.1 carat diamond ring that was near flawless for around $ 5,500 less than all the other stores were offering. Even big chain stores told my fiancé in LA that he should go with this deal because they can’t offer that. I had my ring appraised prior to insuring it and it is exactly what they told me this ring was in quality. They were so pleasant to deal with and kept me laughing the whole time. Now I’m purchasing our wedding bands for both of us and the owner, who originally sold my Fiancé my engagement ring, is giving me an even better deal on my beautiful 1 carat diamond band. I have never written a review before and I had to this time because I was so happy with the entire experience. My ring is amazing and the setting and prongs have never given me any problems and I can’t tell you how many times I have knocked it on something. Now I pop in just to get it cleaned and they are always happy to do it for me no matter how many times I show up. First of all, they were supposed to ‘give us a break’ on our wedding sets. Not. Totally bloated prices — according to our insurance company (who’s the fibber I wonder??? Both snakes, I think!)
My center stone came loose and I had to have them tighten the setting. When I got it back I noticed the table was not lined up right so I had them correct it; just to learn WHY the table was not lined up: they’d chipped the center stone and turned the chip to sit under one of the prongs, reducing it to a worthless piece of glass. Pigs.
I’ve referred them MANY customers over the years and recently had my center stone replaced. They grossly up-​charged me; according to another of their ‘friends’ (obviously not that good of a friend if they told me about it!), so I did some research and behold, I’ve been grossly overcharged.
DON’T FINANCE ANYTHING WITH THEM! They charge absorbent interest rates and act like they’re doing YOU the favor in doing so.
