Denny’s

I have been trying to call in a order a number of times within the past 2 – 3 weeks no one answers. I called about two and a half weeks ago around 11 p.m.- midnight and no one answers. I was drinking tonight and called around 3 a.m. no one answered I called at least 5 times until about 4 a.m. and I decided I would go in. I went over there and I seen 2 – 3 people in the lobby waiting for food. And I waited for someone to take my order 20 mins later no one showed up. I left after that and contained to try to call all the way home which is about 20 mins and the same thing it kept ringing no one picked up. I called the south Santa Rosa one to and it is the same thing I would give this place 0 stars if I could to both this one and the south Santa Rosa one if I could. I would absolutely not recommend this shit to anybody. Horrible customer service. The lady said I will be right with you when I walked in 20 minutes later nothing happened. I do not recommend this place to anybody.

I am not making a comment based on the staff but It was mess there, the food was what you would expect of Denny’s but if you don’t speak Spanish good luck.

My eggs smelled. The bacon taste fake. The toast was stale. The pancakes were tough and chewy, but soft and fluffy. It smelled like bathroom cleaner. Coffee was gross.

I can’t believe how long it takes to get ur drinks ordered I mean it was fast getting seated but oh boy they really have bad service took them 20 mins before we got attended last time we came it took like a Little over a hour to get our food asked for a refill and that refill never came to me just truly bad service over all and they still have the courage to ask for a tip wow …

I like this Denny’s and am a regular here at night.
The area is a little sketch, but I’ve never had an issue with anyone.
The establishment recently went through a total renovation inside, and is very up-​to-​date, and clean. The food is legit, cheap, and service is great – always with a smile too. The night server, Debra, is personable and kind. I always enjoy chatting with her, and catching up. With the broad menu, and reasonable prices, this Denny’s gets my stamp of approval.

So I just got done eating at this facility. 1. Took forever and a day to get my friend and I water. 2. The food wasn’t very satisfying. 3. The waitress would go to tables before us. 4. I asked for the check, fine. 15 minutes later I had to get up and go out of my way to ask for my check again and finally got it. I will not be coming here anymore.

Denny’s is almost uniformly great all over the country… with regional improvements (in Virginia, the ham was outstanding!) the grits used to be my favorite secret. They were never on the menu but you could always order them. And no matter when they were made they were always great. But now they’re on the menu and they’re not always available :(
Moons over MyHammy & grits & now Pancake Puppies hit the spot every time. Unless they don’t have grits.

After a late night out we decided to come to Denny’s and grab some Grub! Denny’s is a late night Spot you’ll all know this! Tonight service is good ! Will come back if we are out this late Again !

This was not a great experience. It started out fine we got our coffee the server took our order. While we waited my boyfriend and I drank our coffee. Soon we got low on coffee and the server never asked if we would like some more coffee. The server would offer other people coffee but not us. It seemed as if forgot about us. Soon he came out carrying out food. He proceeded to give me something I did not order. At first I thought he got my order and my boyfriends order mixed up, but then I saw he gave my boyfriend the exact thing. I said to the server that I ordered something else and he said «oh yeah I thought you did». He then stated that he would take that food back and get my order. When he came back he said the cooks mixed up the orders and mine would be out soon. As we waited another waiter took me pancakes 5 mins later and I said I did not order this. I waited while my boyfriend began to eat for that his food was getting cold. After he was finished eating we decided that I could just get food somewhere else and we did not want my order anymore. When we went to pay for my boyfriends order but the lady charged us for both meals. We said that was incorrect for the fact that I never even got my food and the waiter gave us a receipt only for his meal. This was not a good experience on my part. I used to think Denny’s was an okay place to eat, but now I will never eat here again. The service sucked and the food was gross according to my boyfriend.

If I could give ZERO stars I would! I have been going to this Denny’s since I was very young. I was mortified by my experience there today. First thing is if you are going to run a respectful business, please don’t allow homeless to stand right outside your door spanging for change! I was asked on the way in and on the way out! Everyone who worked there was yelling around the place in Spanish which I found very rude and offensive. «America’s Diner» my @$$! The Manager brought her kid to work and stuck her in a booth in a roped off portion of the dining area. The place was a MESS! Our table was super sticky and my daughters spoon was gross and dirty with lip marks on it as if someone stuck it in their mouth and never washed it. There was water and trash all over the tile floor which no one picked up. It was a serious hazard ignoring it. At one point this huge heifer got up from a table and paid her bill. She had 3 – 4 unruly LOUD children with her that were disturbing a couple sitting next to us. The couple asked her kindly to do something about her children who were kicking the booth seat behind them. The loud heifer told them to «stfu and mind their own f – king business». Granted, I was already annoyed with the horrible and unprofessional service, I wasn’t about to let this she-​bison talk to these people this way. So I said VERY loudly… «Why don’t you do the world a favor and shut the f – k up!?» She said «what?» and I repeated myself, but this time even louder. She was in the wrong and she knew it. All she said back was «whatever» and hobbled her fat butt to her Jeep, trashy family in tow. I got news for anyone out there who thinks this kind of behavior is acceptable… IT’S NOT! So the next time you take your brats out in public hag, you might want to think twice! Because chicks like me will put you in your place! You and all of your taco crumb snatching kids! I am a Mom and APPALLED by such TRASH! I have so many memories of this Denny’s and I will NEVER step foot in there again. The waiter sucked and never came back to fill our coffee cups. Zero tip! Learn to speak English, either that or stick to working at fast food joints. Sonoma County has turned into such a joke! I am ashamed to even say I once grew up here. Trump couldn’t happen any sooner!!!

I was in the area today for the peanuts museum and we stop by very hungry. Our waiter name is Alyce and it was amazing. A party of seven with 2 kids. She took care of us amazingly and will decently comeback and ask for her. You should come and visit but make sure you ask for Alyce.

My wife and I were coming home from a wedding outside Healdsburg. It was an early Sunday morning when we left the wedding site deep in the mountains, and by the time we hit Healdsburg proper we were hungry and nothing in town seemed to be running yet. We opted for Denny’s, the closest of which was Santa Rosa.
I really wish I had looked into the bathroom before ordering rather than after the meal, because it was horrific. I couldn’t breathe because of the awful odor, there were Okie-​blown snots all over the wall, the toilet was backed up with chunks floating in it and blasted all over the inside of the bowl and the floors were grimy and disgusting. It looks as if there hasn’t been a cleaning done in there since 2014, at best. If I had seen this prior to eating, I would’ve left smoking track marks in my haste to leave the area. I cannot overstate how disgusting the restroom was. I was retching as I exited and was afraid to touch anything.
The service was sub-​par even for Denny’s. After seating, we were left on our own for a while until finally a young man came to take our drink order. He returned and took our order, then disappeared for some time. The wait for food was extremely long for a Denny’s, in the neighborhood of 15 minutes. It was not exceptionally busy as we saw probably half the tables were empty.
When the food did arrive, it was, for lack of a better word, gross. The hash browns had a gummy texture and the surface was overdone– burnt in some places. The eggs were cold. The pieces of bacon seemed to have been split in half length-​wise to satisfy the quantity I ordered, which is to say, I had four pieces of bacon but it’s rather like they just took two, cut them in half, and called that four.
We glanced around for the waiter who had again vanished in a puff of smoke never to return until we were done– not finished, just over it. As we looked around, we came to the conclusion that even if we did flag the waiter down we probably didn’t want to bother sending the food back for replacement as it would add another half hour to our visit.
We ate as much as we dared to knock the hunger pangs down, then after we settled the bill (which took another about 10 minutes after we finally pulled the plug on the meal), I decided to use the restroom because we had a long trip ahead. Of course, I’ve already mentioned what that horror show was like.
Stay away. Stay far away.

Lets start from the beginning. At first we were met as we came in and seated fairly quickly since there were only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant.
Started with waters for my girlfriend and I and orange juice for our kids.
The waitress comes back to inform us that they are out of orange juice and could substitute with another juice, we said that’s fine.
I Ordered a Sandwich with hash browns, my girlfriend a grand slam… the server didn’t ask how she’d like her eggs, what kind of toast or if she’d like sausage or bacon, he just guessed I assume. (He was wrong)
Then we ordered the children’s Mac & Cheese with apple dunkers and the children’s pizza with apple dunkers.
After about 5 minutes or so the server came back to inform us that they were out of apple dunkers. We went ahead and had them substitute goldfish & fries as the sides.
Another couple minutes go by and the server comes back and tells us they are out of the children’s Mac & Cheese. We substituted this for Dinosaur chicken nuggets…
At this point we are just hoping we get our food and its edible… not the case. My hash browns were not cooked all the way, my girlfriend got scrambled eggs which she doesn’t like and didn’t even receive her toast. The french fries for the kids meal were not even cooked.
They also forgot an appetizer that we ordered all together… the server didn’t check on us once. This was the worst of many bad experiences with Denny’s but it is also going to be the last for us… time to give iHop a chance!!!

Love that you can order breakfast all day & make your own Grand Slam for only $ 7.79 that gives you good portions. Good! coffee. Good cheeseburgers with a good issue of fries.

Too bad America’s best dinner has Americas worst service. Waited over 20 min and the waitress was more worried about clearing tables than helping customers. The entire time we were there the phone rang off the hook and we were never asked what we wanted for our meal nor we we ever asked what we’d like to drinks.
I will not be returning this this location

Our server was pleasant, but I’m really feeling the 1 star: «Eek! Methinks not!»
Food was not great. I’ve been to many different Denny’s restaurants all over, and this is by far the ickiest I’ve visited!
Walked in, were acknowledged by two servers, but they were too busy (yes both of them trying to figure out their POS system) to seat us. We probably stood there and stared at them for a good solid 5 min. before our server seated us at one of 15 empty tables… I was ready to seat myself.
We waited probably another 15 min. before we could order. My husband and I got burgers (dry and displeasing) and our daughter ordered the kids pizza (pre-​frozen) and I’m sure microwaved. No check-​in from our server for refills or how the food was… My daughter didn’t take one bite of the «pizza». I don’t blame her. We were done, but our server was not in sight for the check. Waited for probably another 10 min. to get the check. And was that the stench of pee I smelled the whole time we were there?
I needed a shower when we left.
Not visiting again.

Wow, we’ve been to this Denny’s twice and it was nothing like many of the other reviews described, thank goodness. I guess we got lucky!
Each time the food has been what we wanted, except my scrambled eggs were a bit off. I added salt to fix them up a bit. Then they were ok. The only «problem», and that’s a huge inflating of the word to explain something less than perfect, is that I wasn’t offered a refill on my coffee this time (also didn’t ask). Service was overall pretty good.
It sounds like our good experiences are unusual for this location, so your mileage may vary!

If I could give a zero I would.
First off, the french toast was over cooked and the sausage was still pink inside.
But the bad food isn’t why I’m writing this review.
Today I lost all my phone contacts, irreplaceable pictures, and the tracker I use for my medical disease because I mistakenly left my phone on the table at the Denny’s off Steele Ln. The waitresses, TANYA and MARTHA, had my phone for the ten minutes it took for me to realize I didn’t have my phone and go back for it. In those ten minutes they entered the incorrect security code on my phone until the security wiped the entire thing and then they skipped past all the set up of the phone as if they were going to steal my phone. Then when I realized everything was gone TANYA lied to my face saying she had no idea how that happened even though, her words, she put the phone in the back where only employees could get to it. She then dropped an F-​bomb and refused to give me the manager’s number.
I lost all the medical history I’ve been tracking for my disease, irreplaceable pictures of my nephews, and all my business contacts for my job.
I realize it was my mistake for forgetting my phone but to have two of your employees break into my phone, wipe basically my entire life from it, and lie and speak disrespectfully to me? I don’t think so. If the manager, CHERIE, does not contact me within 24 hours I’m going to sue for damages.

This is the second and last time I’ve been to this location. Where is the staff? Why aren’t there enough people to cover the late night crowd that always seems to roll in? Hello…
