I see Kelly. Have for years. I’m a very difficult blonde client, and I have had such trouble finding someone great but look no further. Kelly is so good with my color and also uses a great quality hair extensions. I’m so so happy to recommend kelly to others. I swear I tell someone about her weekly. I really love Sarah for her skill and bubbly personality! She has done some beautiful multicolored foils. She is really great at color. I always «pull red» and don’t like it, and Sarah listened and gave me a pretty color. She also listens to me about how to cut and style. It is always fun to spend time with such a positive, sweet person. Thanks, Sarah! I want an appointment soon for more blonde and a shorter look. See you soon!

Sarah did an excellent job! Went in for color and a few highlights and it was exactly what I wanted. Friendly, efficient, fun and knowledgeable. The salon itself was clean, cute and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

EMILY RUELLE = An out of this world stylist who creates Hair Perfection. She is a rock star stylist and has an amazing gift. It has been a blast having her as a stylist. She’s my soul stylist lol and I trust her 100% to take those shears and work her magic. Her abilities and guidance to bring ideas to life is incredible. She took me from long blonde hair to a rock star mohawk that is unique and to die for. I have never recieved so many compliments in my life on my hair. I was so scared to chop it all off but she guided me through it and made me feel confident and most importantly she was confident and that makes a world of a difference in a stylist. Her pricing is great, the salon staff is fantastic, they use high quality natural and organic products, and when I needed a little trim or wanted a Little more highlights she let me come in free of charge. I’ve never had my hair colored professionally. Always did it myself from the box. So I finally decided to get it done. Kristen was amazing! I felt so comfortable with her doing my hair. Very accommodating as well. Two thumbs up! Definitely going back!

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!!! I use to go to another salon but this place is awesome! My hairstylist just moved to this salon and I love it. The salon itself is cute and chic. I get my hair done by Kristen and I have endless complements about her! Kristen understands how I like my hair, has such an amazing personality and just amazing! My biggest plus is that is there enough parking, the old place was horrible! Location… Perfect! The shop… Vogue! My stylist… Purely amazing! Kristen is the one to go too!

I came here to see my long lost hair stylist MELISSA (i used to see her when she worked somewhere else and completely forgot where she had moved to so i called up every salon in Santa Rosa just to find her and finally did here lol.) she is amazing at doing hair and she always lets me know what products she’s using on me and what it does for my hair which i always like to hear. she is very knowledgeable on what she is doing and i always leave happy with my results. It is a bit pricey but SOOO worth it!!! :-) go see Melissa B!

I have gone to quite a few salons and could not find one that met all my needs. I happen to drive by and noticed the salon. I got in with CARRIE. There is parking off to the side so no need for looking for metered parking. I immediately noticed the atmosphere was very friendly. Before Carrie called me over i noticed she cleaned her entire station down something all salons should do and the first stylist i have ever seen do this in Santa Rosa. Having a license myself there are a lot of salons that do NOT FOLLOW a complete sterilization routine. Since i was having all over color with highlights and a haircut she went over everything in detail. She is not only on time but she knows her colors and cut plus styled my hair to perfection. I have sat in previous salons where they will have me sit there for over 3 hours and still not achieve what i am looking for or the cut and style do not suit my face shape. I NOW HAVE MY STYLIST. If you are looking for someone CARRIE is the woman to go to.

Every time I need a style change for my hair Emily Ruelle is always who I go to. She helped me make my long brunette hair, into a perfect blonde short blonde do without any damage.
This time I needed to remove some built up pink in my hair, and cut off a previous bad haircut. MY HAIR IS PERFECT! She was able to remove all pink build up, refresh my platinum and gave me the most PERFECT blunt cut bob!

At long last, I have found my ‘Hair Hero’, & that person is Sarah Chevalier! She is a shining star at Essentials Salon in Santa Rosa.
In January of this year, I came to Sarah with very damaged hair; brittle, frizzed, and breaking, with many contributing factors, spanning many years. During Sarah’s thorough consultation, she exhibited excellent problem-​solving and communication skills, as well as a knowledge of excellent hair color and care products. It is now 3 appointments later, and although my hair has a long way to go yet, it looks better than it has in a long, long time. Sarah also gave me an excellent trim, creating the perfect style for me, and I am very particular. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Sarah for caring so much about helping your clients and for being so good at your profession!

I have been seeing Melissa for about six life changing months and I couldn’t be happier! She is an incredible stylist with a passion for her craft. My hair has never been healthier and it looks just as amazing. I have recieved the keratin treatment, cuts & color from her and she always over delivers and I am always so pleased and impressed by the outcome! I was actually referred to her by my boyfriend who has been getting haircuts by her for about a year. Guys, Girls — whoever, just make sure you see Melissa and you will not be disappointed! :)

I’ve been with Essentials Salon and my stylist Melissa Babas for over 2 years.
In that time I’ve referred friends and family and they are regular clients to this salon.
What I appreciate it the time they invest in re-​invention. You can get a haircut or color anywhere but you want to develop a new style or update your look you want a stylist that will take the time and build the relationship to achieve that goal. You will get that experience at Essentials. We live in a fast paced rush through the day culture but trust me it pays to invest the time in having a fantastic cut and style that you can maintain between appointments.

Really disappointed with the type of service I got. The Owner is just plain rude and does not seem like she wants to even be there. I will not be coming back

I get my hair cut by Melissa at Essentials. She does a FANTASTIC job, and is the only stylist I have gone to on a regular basis because she consistently does a great job. She is very detail oriented, and is sooo careful to clarify what I want (I’m not always sure!). She makes strong suggestions if she feels I am being to fickle (usually am). She’s right (always).

I used the Groupon and enjoyed the manicure that Sara did. She gave me recommendations on caring for my nails and she removes the old shellac in a much less harsh way than the other salons do. I appreciated that a lot. The atmosphere could be spruced up a bit. Maybe some art, plants and more upbeat music? But the service itself was good.

Unfortunatly after a few great times, the last appointment absolutely ruined my daughters hair. The gal was not very nice to us, plus she went crazy with the thinning shears and completely made her hair at least 1000 or more lengths. Horrible. My daughter was so dispaired and it has been months.
Plus I went for a 2^nd wax of my face and OMG what a nightmare. The first time she was really gentle, and left very little redness. The last time I felt like I was having my face ripped off and it left really bad red marks and dryness that lasted weeks.
This was so wrong… We will not be returning and I feel sad.
