If you are looking for an AWESOME HVAC contractor look no further! I received Bob’s contact info from my electrician (whom is equally as awesome!). Thom Stewart (my electrician) told me to call Bob after he learned that I had been having a few issues with other (non) reliable HVAC contractors. He told me once I called Bob, I would never call anyone else again! Truer words have never been spoken! I highly recommend KKAT for reliable, knowledgeable, affordable and personable service! I am impressed by how quickly they are able to respond and I love that Bob takes the time to talk me through what he is doing and provide me with different options on how to best address the problem. They listened to my furnace needs, looked at my current system, talked me though their recommendations and offered reasonable and logical solutions. Let me start with a short back story. My heater broke and I was looking to add air conditioning to my home. I received two quotes from heating/​AC contractors. They both wanted to replace my metal duct work with collapsable plastic duct work that rodents and neighborhood animals could damage. Both estimates were $ 20,000+ for a 1400 square foot home. This was not an option so I began asking friends if they knew of an HVAC contractor.
I was referred to KKAT Mechanical from a friend who recently had work done and was very happy with the results. I spoke with Heidi on the phone and scheduled an appointment. Heidi provided excellent customer service and emailed me to confirm what we had discussed over the phone.
Bob showed up at my house and was friendly and professional. He crawled under my house and evaluated my heater and duct work. He quoted me for the heater replacement, sealing and insulating my existing duct work as well as installing a new air conditioner. The estimate was thorough and the price was far below the other two quotes I received. He worked with us to replace only what was needed, not upsell us on unnecessary equipment.
Bob was efficient with his time and a great problem solver. He is a true tradesman who takes pride in doing the job correctly. He was even able to install a touch screen thermostat that we can control with our iPhones. This is the best heating system we have had in any of the homes we’ve lived in. We are looking forward to next summer when we get to use our new air conditioner.
