While I would have to venture to say that I’m sure some people are capable of finding great deals here I cannot say for sure that I was entirely satisfied. Yes, I know, it’s a consignment sale and quite frankly beggars can’t be choosers but still… I was expecting way more large baby gear items than were there and maybe some higher quality items. And perhaps, I am a bit picky in the things that I was looking for and I was hoping that since this is eco conscious Sonoma that there would be a bit more«crunchy» items for the granola mom in me. Everything is organized fairly well but all in all it is a bit chaotic for my taste. We found some great books and puzzles plus a few clothing items but not really much else. I think more complaints by me are found in the people who actually attend the event. Some people are just so impolite. I had a woman who stepped in front of me to grab what I was looking at. She made no mind of the preggo bump I have going on or even just plain common courtesy as she fondled the item she plucked from my hands only to toss it back in the pile despite the incredulous look on my face. The line I can totally understand given the magnitude of the sale, but I witnessed one mom who waited the entire time behind hundreds of other shoppers only to get frustrated as with one person in front of her on the way out of the building. While I appreciate the workers and organizers of this event I think I will skip out on it in the future. Just a little too crazy for my taste.

We love this sale!!! I look forward to going every six months. I started going back when I was pregnant with my now 2 ½ year old. I find so many lovely things for her here. They have such a wonderful assortment of things to look through from clothes to ride on toys, books, games, strollers, bags, baby carriers, room décor, infant seats, high chairs etc… If you need it they have it. I have had so many compliments from clothes I have purchased for my daughter here, there really have some great choices at half or less the price it would be in a retail store. I seriously have second thoughts about buying clothes when I’m out now, because I know if I wait for this sale I will be able to get the same thing for so much less. I feel like I need to go every six months now, because my daughter is growing so fast and these deals are great! It’s a lot of fun looking for special things for her, I really enjoy it. I would encourage anyone with kids, grandkids or friends having kids to go and check out this sale, you won’t be sorry, you may even walk away with more than you planned :)

Pretty good. I went to their Spring Sale yesterday, and walked away with a brand new stroller(still in the box!), and several gently used items(2 maternity sweaters, a Baby Bjorn, and a diaper bag)…all for $ 180. Nice! Overall, there are plenty of gems to find in this place, and I landed some great deals. Be prepared to sort through some not-so-gems though. There is wide range of quality, brands, and the condition of the used materials varies quite a bit. If you’re looking for something very specific, don’t count on it being there, but if you’re looking for general baby or kids gear, there is something for everyone. I’m a big fan of buying«gently used.» Key word here is «gently.» I was disappointed to find many of the products in not-so-great condition. However, there was enough nicer stuff to make it worthwhile trip. Also, I was surprised by some of the prices. When I buy used, I’m expecting somehwere around 50% discounts on good condition items, and much steeper discounts on items in lesser condition. People set their own prices, so I suspect some folks who are new at consigning haven’t really figured out how to properly price their items. The organizers might consider providing more specific pricing guidance, b/c some of the items just seemed over priced. Why would I pay 80−90% of retail for something that is obviously used, when I can pay something more for brand new plus be able to return or exchange it if I change my mind, it doesn’t fit, it gets recalled, etc. I was hoping to outfit my nursery, but the nursery furniture was pretty limited and nothing really caught my fancy. I’m sure some years there is more of a selection, though. There are a ton of baby clothes, toys, books… so I’ll definitely be back once my baby has actually arrived is a little older. I went on Saturday, after the presales, and still had some great finds. I suspect the nice items are pretty much gone by the end of Saturday. So, the 50% discount on Sunday will probably net you some steals, but I suspect what is left may be less«gently» used.

LOVE this sale! I actually spend half of the year counting down to the next one. They offer 2 sales a year(spring & fall) and have oodles of kids items that have been gently used and are ready for a new home. We’re talking clothes(soooo many clothes), games, shoes, DVD’s, car seats, baby carriers, strollers, sporting equipment, EVERYTHING you could possibly need for someone who can count their ages on two hands. Not only is it great shopping, but you can consign your own items and make a little bit of money for yourself. They keep 40% of the sales price(which you set) and the rest comes to you in check form a couple of weeks after the sale ends. If you have kids, this is a must attend! Go the first day for the best items but be prepared to elbow your way though the crowds Black Friday style. The last day of the sale is always Sunday and everything is 50% off so you can get some serious scores. Since discovering this sale 2 years ago, I now buy a majority of my kids clothes here. If you love bargain shopping, you’ll be hooked on JBF too!
