Like others on Unilocal I have had the same horrible customer experience. I came down to get a belt for a project I’m working on. I explained the project, requirements and the model of the belt I was looking for and was greeted with an unfriendly, «you’re a moron» look from the employee who proceeded to tell me blatantly inaccurate information about the product I was looking for. I was looking for a specificc profile belt from a particular supplier that I had researched(which Power Industries is the main supplier in this area) and he told me that the belt I described was just a generic name for all the belts the company provides, which is completely wrong. He was unhelpful in providing any alternatives, never once tried to work with me to find the right product and basically told me «come back when you know what you want». After returning home, just to do a sanity check, I looked up the exact product on the company website which confirmed that I was indeed explaining the exact belt/model and that he was telling me information not even accurate to the company’s own product descriptions. This experience was entirely underwhelming and I will never do business with them again. It’s unfortunate that they are the only reseller in this area, I will have to look for other avenues for such items in the future. If the owner is reading this, I’d highly recommend you do a review of your staff or else you’re going to lose a lot more business.

The customer service here needs an upgrade. Every time I ask a question or am looking for something, I get a «you don’t know anything do you» look. I asked about some simple belts and I got a «shoulder shrug» in response. When I asked the guy to go in back and double check, you think I would have asked him to hike up a mountain! After finally getting him to go look, lo and behold, they had what I needed… sheesh it was like pulling teeth to get it.

Today was my first visit, on the recommendation of a friend. I had just purchased a bunch of pneumatic equipment and needed hose and fittings to connect it all up. After explaining my situation, not only did they know exactly what I needed, they had it all in stock. And the prices were very competitive to what I’d seen online. The staff was not over energetic, put the were friendly, polite and helpful. Great experience.

The shop has a wide variety of industrial air and hydraulic fittings and hose in one place which is very helpful… BUT getting them to take your money is the biggest challenge. You can come into the store, stand at the front counter alone and wait to put your order in for ten minutes while they answer phones and skulk around but no one acknowledges your presence. It’s a hassle when you know exactly what you want and what it is but no one here seems aware that the customer is the principle of the business. Very frustrating when you’re trying to buy local and keep your dollar here when there are so many online choices with competitive pricing and easy ordering. A good manager wants to know what the customer thinks — wish someone would pay attention to help keep local business thriving
