They do a good job, but be cautious when getting estimate. The final cost was double what was quoted, with no warning

Bill and his team did a very fine job of blasting my Zagato aluminum-bodied Fiat Abarth Monomille. They were very patient and explained every step and any questions I or my restoration partner had. They accommodated my desire to observe very closely for my learning and ability for me to oversee anything that I wanted them to do. It was not cheap, but I think it was competititve. But it was worth every penny. A fair price for an excellent job. And they had a boatload of large and expensive equipment on hand for the job. As rare as my little car is, and not having unlimited funds to embark on the restoration, I was a bit anxious about subjecting the car with its delicate hand formed aluminum body, and its partially rusted steel floorpans, rockers, and doorsills to the blasting process . I rented a U-Haul truck and trailer in San Rafael and hauled my car and parts to their remote and isolated ranch in the depths of Sebastopol. I was wondering whether it was worth the trouble to go there, but am now convinced I got a really top notch job done by them. And though their eqipment is theoretically ‘portable’, it is a large truck and trailer of equipment, and the noise created to do the job was definitely not insignificant. My neighbors in Marin would not have been happy. Bill was on hand personally most of the time giving his personal input to his guys when he wasn’t doing it himself, and was paying close attention to detail. Except for the effort to get there, I can’t think of how it could be a better job. My car is now a big step closer to its restoration. Bob Huber

Please don’t make the mistake of having these guys soda blast your plastic bumper cover. They ruined mine; it took tons of primer and sanding to correct the damage that occurred from their blasting; I’m still working on it. When I spoke to Bill, he said that they had never had a complaint before and would not even consider a refund of my $ 100. I never got an apology from him either. It’s very false advertising how their website says, «With our Soda Blasting system we have the ability to „dial-in“ the amount of spray exactly needed to do the job without any destruction of the underlying surface material.» I would steer clear of these guys for automotive plastic bumpers.
