Sam Market No 8

I used to come here almost daily about 7 years ago then I moved I just started coming back to find it is exactly the same. Great price for a fresh made sandwiches and awsome tasting rolls. Try roast beef bacon and smokey cheddar on a soft roll or dutch crunch! Smokey cheddar is a must! Also I like the fact that you wouldnt expect to get a good sandwich in a corner store in a neighboorhood like this

I love Sam’s sandwiches and whenever I go I get the Veggie which at $ 3.99 is a total steal. They consistently have the best deli rolls that I’ve ever experienced– flavorful with a perfect texture. I like that they offer sprouts on sandwiches because many delis to not. I also appreciate that they, unlike most delis I’ve encountered, put multiple slices of cheese when your order includes cheese.
I agree with the previous reviewer though, the quality does tend to vary. I’ve noticed that the size and quality of the sandwich differs significantly based on who is making it. If you go, I would suggest going on a weekday in late morning to early afternoon.

I loved the first sandwich I had from here. Turkey, cheddar cheese, extra mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion on sliced white bread.
So I came back on a Sunday to have the same sandwich. WARNING: Don’t buy sandwiches here on the weekend. First the lady made the wrong sandwich. I tried to hand her my order form, but she said to leave it on the display case in front of her. When she handed me «my» sandwich I new it was the wrong one. Then she showed me the order form and it wasn’t mine! Mine was still sitting where she told me to put it! Then the bread was so stale it felt toasted! Totally not worth the $ 5.99 I paid for it.
I’m only buying sandwiches here Monday thru Friday from now on. I would have given them a 5 star rating for the week day sandwich, and a ZERO for the Sunday sand… so I averaged it out… 3 stars!
