Seed On The Go

Went to farmers market today and had the best vegan food ever! The desserts are to die for and the Mac & cheez is amazing. As the menu is ever changing I Cant wait to see what they have next time I come!

Having been introduced to great vegan food through trucks/​restaurants such as Native Food, Veggie Grill, Seabirds and Millennium we eagerly anticipated this Sonoma county offering.
And after trying everything on the menu at Sebastiani Food Truck Friday we were left with one overwhelming description: sorely disappointed.
We found both the flavors and the presentation of the dishes in need of serious help.
What perplexed us most was that, in this trucks first visit (that we know of) to Sonoma they choose to make a dish that even the best vegan chefs know is hard to execute — mac and cheese. In fact, while waiting for our food, a patron returned his dish and complained that the plate was served cold and «the cheese was not melted». To which we overheard the chef say, «well this cheese doesn’t really melt». Chef, executing any cheese dish in a vegan version is so difficult, why risk it and execute it poorly, in your first outing to new venue?
Of the seven dishes/​desserts we tried only the Whiskey Cake is worth revisiting.

So glad to have more vegan options in Sonoma county! The tofu Benedict was by far my favorite dish…

Even if you have never tried Vegan food before you will love this! great selection, good portions and good prices! My very picky son even said wow that was good! Cinnamon rolls are his favorite. Fresh local flavorful food, and menu changes at different events so you can always try something new. I will definitely keep in mind for a catering gig/​partyi

I love seed! Whatever the choices there is always something fabulous on the menu! My faves are the sloppy seed, and the cashew chili, and the chia parfait.
