Im always on the hunt for good indian cuisine, and it doesn’t get any better than this place! Everything I ate was wonderful from the onion kulcha and the chana masala to the saag paneer(which was especially delightful). Everything was spiced just right. Also the price was very fair, which is not always the case for indian restaurants around Sonoma County. The service was great, the food was great and the price couldn’t be beat, I will most definitely be coming back here soon!

Found through Unilocal while traveling. Was my boyfriend’s first introduction to Indian Food. I had the lamb saag, he had chicken tikka masala. Neither of us were disappointed. We also had garlic naan. If you’re only a mild fan of garlic, don’t order it. It’s loaded and yummy. Would visit again if we were in the area.

As the premier Indian food connoisseur, I recommend against Sobbit Goa. Uninspiring food, not fresh tasting and the place is just a bit strange. Not sure where all the great reviews are coming from. Sorry, but I won’t be heading back. Nothing to really write about here!

This place was really great! I picked up the curry chicken and tiki marsala, both had good flavor and were seasoned well. The owner was really nice and pleasant to talk with. The naan bread is to die for, it’s a must for sure. The restaraunt is small, nothing special on the inside but the food is great.

2nd dinner here. Both times great! If you love Indian food, especially if your vegetarian, Sobbit Goa is the place. Plus the staff is friendly & helpful. Next I am going check out their lunch buffet. Looks great.

The real deal, To put it simply, you can tell that most everything is homemade there and you can also tell they use better ingredients. I would even go there for the chutney! This is a restaurant that focuses on food and not the aesthetic, so the visuals may not match up to the tastes.

having been back to this place a dozen or so times over the last year i can say this is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants for lunch or dinner. the afternoon buffet is a always solid, with enough choices to provide variety but not so much you feel they are throwing everything they have at you. Flavorful, consistent, and fresh, all with a friendly staff. I have also been here for dinner and the food is just as good if not better. a wide variety of Naan options is fun with a group, my wife enjoys the garlic pesto. I strongly recommend this place.

So amazing. The price is a plus, but has amazing food to boot What a gem hidden inside an unassuming shopping mall. Sobbit Goa is a rare place that offers healthy, quality, natural food delivered with amazing customer service all at an affordable price. Yup, these places exist! Came in here with a coupon for buy one, get one free. The weather was gloomy and I was craving something ethic and comforting. Off we went to Sobbit Goa. As the rain began to pour outside I piled my plate with vegetable curries, chicken curries and tandoori chicken. The curries were all favorable and hefty. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the tandoori chicken was some of the best we have ever had. All you can eat for less than eight dollars is unheard of, plus all you can eat delicious food? Even better. I went to go pay and handed off my coupon when the worker said it was only for entrees, not the lunch buffet, which I hadn’t even noticed! But here’s the kicker, he still gave me the discount and then let me keep the coupon for the next time I come in!!! Service like that is so unheard of. I couldn’t believe it. I will be coming here again and again and telling everyone about it.

been screaming on top of my head to get my friends over here! Sunny the waiter knows me, cause I’m a regular… Promised him for a whole year that I’ll bring friends over. don’t miss out folks, check out this place… not sure what happened to my old review… anyway, I got them a review at Press Democrat… …so Go To GOA! Southwest Indian food If you like your food spicy or non spicy this is the place to go. The Buffet is not as spicy as it was before. Cost is $ 7.95 which is affordable, however, they don’t really have a kid’s price for buffet. Best part of the buffet is they are very accommodating to the vegan crowd. THe dishes are healthy, tasty and not oily at all. I asked them how come you have so many vegan dishes? They said customers ask for THEM! they are accommodating to the mild crowd. Just add more Chili spices to your dish. I’m actually med spicy and they really hit me in the right spot. Love their veggie curries. like Bhindi, pumpkin. etc… hunt down or ask for a few dishes other INdian restaurants don’t have They have a potato appetizer that’s different vegan naan available for $ 3 made with rice, tapioca, chickpea, 3 type of flours, etc.

I’ll admit that the idea of Indian food has, at times, paralyzed me with fear; curry is typically a hit or miss affair for some. I had a bad experience once with a restaurant that is no longer in business; the food tasted like curry and dirt. Mostly dirt. Sobbit Goa, however, recently catered my place of work, and it was awesome. I don’t mean just the Chicken Tika Misala, or the Butter Chicken(both are delicious), but even the vegan options; Saag Paneer, Dal Tadka, and Mattar Paneer were surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because I’m typically the type of guy who eats meat with more meat, and a side of meat; I call it Turf ‘n turf. Anyways, after my workplace was catered, I decided to head in for dinner service. We were seated quickly, and the waiter/server was extremely nice. I ordered spicy Chicken Tika Misala(because yes, I am a man child, and I live life cautiously) with a side of the garlic pesto naan. If ever there was a match made in Nirvana, this is it; the naan had a slight crispiness to it, and was wonderful along with some of the misala sauce. The Chicken Tika Misala was excellent as well, the chicken being good cuts of white meat — no nasty tendons or cartilidge — and was cooked perfectly. My partner in crime got the Butter Chicken which was good, but I found the heat of the Tika Misala spicy more my style. All in all, Sobbit Goa surprised me, and has become a popular place to eat amongst my friends and coworkers because of the great food and pleasant staff.

This place is soo good. The price is so cheap, like $ 7 for lunch buffet and the food couldn’t be better. They have mostly vegetarian options that do not let you miss the meat and last time I was there they also had 2 chicken dishes. Theyt bring fresh hot na’an to your table and there are even a couple yummy desserts on the buffet as well. Great place.

Just had dinner at this place and was very pleasantly surprised, the service was prompt, and ambiance charming(i absolutely loved the framed cartoons on the walls). and the food… the food was delicious. Try the Lamb Saag — it’s wonderful. Agreed that the Naan is excellent. I wish I had read reviews before going in or I would have tried the magno lassi. I’m not in sonoma county very often anymore, but this will definitely be one of the places i visit when I’m in town again.

My husband and I came here mostly because it was close, had good reviews, and offers a lunch buffet on Sunday(something Torch of India doesn’t!). The fact that they serve gluten-free naan was really just the icing on the cake. The food here is simple, yummy, and seemed a bit lighter than what I’m used to from other Indian restaurants in town — in a really good way. I agree with some of the other comments that the vegetarian dishes here are really their best. I am giving them five stars instead of four because, on top of the good food, our waiters were incredibly nice and gave our 2 year old son a free mango lassi. He LOVEDIT, and I loved that they were so welcoming of a family with a slightly rambunctious toddler. Also, free stuff is the way to my heart. That and really, genuinely nice customer service. We will definitely be coming back!

Y.U.M. -! Sobbit Goa is fantastic… wonderful food, warm & friendly service and great prices. Our group shared appetizers — all amazing — and each tried different curries. The nan is the best I’ve ever had, especially the garlic/pesto variety. We sat outside since I had my pup in tow, but the interior looked spacious yet cozy. They have lots of veggie & vegan options as well as gluten-free items; the menu is extensive so there should be something for everyone! Looking forward to trying their lunch buffet, which locals have told me is awesome. Highly recommend!

After many lunch buffets, I finally made it here for dinner. We had a group of 12 and this restaurant was more than accommodating. I was very impressed that Sunny checked to make sure everyone was comfortable with the spice level during ordering, since several people in the group weren’t into spicy food while others love it hot. We all shared the dishes family style and there was plenty left over to take home. All of the dishes were very good. Don’t forget the mango lassi!

Highly recommend! The very reasonable lunch buffet provides many vegetarian options. Dinner portions are generous; you cannot leave hungry. Their brown rice(you can request) is excellent. I can only attest to the tikka masala dishes, as I am addicted to them and can’t bring myself to order anything else — they are fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant is always good whether it’s quiet or super-busy. On a quiet day, it’s relaxing; on a busy day, it’s fun(and not obnoxious). The staff is really lovely. They remembered us after one visit and now when I go in there it’s like visiting friends. Sandeep told me a bit about Goa and got me researching… now there’s one more place in the world to visit!

Loved it. No matter what Indian Restaurant I go to, I always order Chicken Vindaloo, its my absolute favorite dish in the world :) Sobbit Goa’s was delicious! I was actually shedding tears from the level of spiciness, but it wasnt unbearably hot that it loses flavor. However, Im gonna go easy on my palate and go Medium next time: P As is my usual, I had a Mango lassi to counteract the spice. Aaaah, so good! Also had the Lamb Samosas, very good :) But the revelation to me was the Naan. I dont usually eat much Naan, I usually stick to just rice. But I tried the Pesto Garlic Naan… oh my. It was seriously the best Naan Ive had. So good! I love that they are not skimpy on the Pesto & Garlic Blend. So Tasty. To make things even better, the service was friendly and attentive. And on top of that, we received a complimentary dessert! I cannot wait to bring my family & friends here. My new favorite Indian Restaurant in the North Bay.

Went here for lunch buffet, also amazing. You can’t fail here, really everything here is good. I tried the mango lassi, which is a creamy yougurt based drink, and it was cold and refreshing on a hot day, and really complimented the spicy chicken dishes they serve. Don’t forget the kheer ! :)
