Village Frame

In short: A waste of time. They get 2-​stars, instead of 1, for being polite and honestly admitting they didn’t know if they could do what we wanted.
We had a large MOMA print that we wanted framed. We had a floating frame in mind, but wanted a pro to help us with our options.
First time I went here during normal business hours they were closed. Apparently left early for the day.
Second trip, the gentleman working wasn’t too familiar with anything other than mounting to foam core. Even then, he wasn’t certain he could foam core mount a print as large as ours (4′ x 4′). Didn’t seem certain of what a floating frame was, much less if they could do it. I would need to return when the owner was there. Unfortunately, the owner would only be in during the evening, but didn’t answer the door in the evening. He would be back during the day in three weeks. So I would need to come back in three weeks to see if they could even price my job.
Ultimately, I went to My Daughter the Framer. You will see a reviewer there had a similar experience at Village Frame.

Recently, I changed the course of my stained glass business and turned to photography. In the process, I’ve had to acquaint myself with all new vendors for the various processes I need to go through to acquire my final product.
One of the biggies is that I needed to find a framer who would work with me, understand my concepts, and deliver a quality product at a fair price. I’m proud of my photographic pieces, but I dare say that framing and matting are an equal part of the equation when it comes to the final appearance.
I found that and more when I met Gary from Village Frame and Gallery. From the moment I walked in the door, he was attentive to my desires and needs as an artist and worked with me at keeping the price within my budget.
I sent my work out to three different framers so that I could compare quality, value and turnaround time and Gary nailed it! My prints were done BEFORE the promised due date, and they were mounted and framed beautifully.
