W. Johnson Ornamental Stone

I needed three boulders and some medium size stones for my garden. My mom recommended Johnson’s. She said she’s used them for decades, and when she was a landscape architect her fellow architects used them as well. The staff/​owners are friendly and out going. They were roaming around, pretty easy to find, when I was done making my selections. For $ 50 they loaded and delivered everything I picked out. I was nervous about how they would deliver the rocks. My sister got rocks from a competitor and she said they pulled up in her driveway rolled the boulders out onto the concrete and left. I’d selected a 900 lb stone and a 700 lb stone and worried what I’d do if they just dumped them in my driveway. Johnson’s doesn’t just dump them though. They called to tell me they were on their way and brought a truck mounted fork lift. They placed the stones for me just how I wanted. And then I paid the bill, which was less than the estimate. Altogether I could not be more satisfied. I wouldn’t bother to go anywhere else. Their selection is huge, better prices than most of their competitors, and great service.

This place has a good selection of rock material. It’s pretty self serve so don’t expect to be greeted out front. When we met up with the staff they were friendly and offered to help if need be. Be ready to load the rock yourself or have it delivered (I believe for a fee). See the pic I loaded for pricing as of this date.
