Carlton Classic Dry Cleaners

When I first moved to Santee I discovered Carlton Classic Cleaners. This company is by far the best cleaners I have ever worked with. They do excellent work, help you if you need special attention, and they always have it ready when they say they will. If I could give 6 stars I would. They are well worth going out of your way for.
They can even fix your shoes.

The quality of this work is amazing! My daughter made a quilt that she took to the beach and it somehow got 15 – 20 tar stains on it. She left it for about a month thinking that it couldn’t be cleaned. I brought it in to Carlton Classic Cleaners to see if anything could be done, fully expecting that they couldn’t clean it. To my surprise not only did they clean it, but when we examined it carefully, you would have never known that it had tar stains on it! They didn’t even charge extra for all the time they spent on it!

I wish Unilocal had more stars. I very rarely give more than 4. I’ve been using this place for about 5 years, ever since I got some really crappy service from a place on Mission Gorge. They know my name when I come in. They are always finished when promised, and will go out of the way to express something. If I have difficult stains, or repairs or alterations I have been explained that they will do the best job possible, and when they couldn’t meet our expectations, I was not charged.
I expect the prices are fair. Even if they were higher than others, I would still use them for the customer service. I occasionally see some uniformed people there, military and law enforcement. If they are getting good service and workmanship, I would expect to take that as a recommendation alone. I will continue to return, and I encourage any reading this to give them a try.

This is the place for AWSOME customer service. I live in La Mesa and must pass 50 Cleaners but always come here. Always greet you by name, and have never had an issues with any work done. They even will go the extra mile to remove stains that just work come out. I defiantly recommend them!

Great customer service. I dropped stuff off today and needed it done asap. They told me I could have one thing altered by tomorrow afternoon and the rest would be done a few days later. To my amazement they called me a few hours later and had my order done. I was so shocked. They are friendly and very accommodating.

I found this place from Unilocal here and decided to give them a shot. The first dry clean batch was good, nice press, comparable price. The second batch I had lots of stylish clothing from JCrew that contains embellishes, beads, and ruffles. I made a remark to the store to handle with care and even asked if they could do it. They said no problem. When I picked up my cloth, one of my blouse was damaged. The lady there suggested me to talk to the owner.
The owner called me next day and said my blouse was made with poor quality or defected stitching. He talked very fast, never listened to me, and blamed on JCrew. I took my blouse to JCrew and talked to the manager there. She said she had the exact same blouse, dried clean professionally many times, and never had a single tiny problem!!! She didn’t think my cloth was defective either (neither do I!) So I stopped by and talked to the owner again. He still never listened to me and instead gave me a 30-​min lecture of how good he and his store was and blame on everyone else. I even had to ask him to give me back my cleaning money for that shirt and also asked him to «shut up» so I could go home and cried about my blouse later. I was very disappointed that nobody told me prior that my shirt could be ruined or at least offered me a refund for the whole cleaning or repair my blouse. Unlike this store, my previous dry cleaners back in Reno, NV didn’t want to risk dry cleaning, they would tell me that up front that my cloth might have a chance of being ruin and asked if I still would like to dry clean so I would make my own decision and take my own risk. However, this store will take everything and be responsible for nothing!
Long story short, if you have plain cheap cloth that need to be dried clean, this may be the place. If you have fancy/​luxury cloth and need someone who will be responsible and take a good care of your cloth, DO NOT COME HERE!!! Ultimately, you will only get a refund back IF YOU ASKED FOR IT and the owner will give you a minimum 20-​minute prep talk of how great his store is. What a «great» customer service!!! Spare sometime if you will. I already warn you!!!

Remarkable customer service from Carlton Classic Cleaners. The gentleman that helped me was very pleasant and efficient. By contrast, employees that work at Ross are not efficient, so this is worth mentioning. CCC cleaned and pressed a suit and a dress for me and the work was done well and done quickly, ahead of the scheduled pick-​up date. I’ll rate them five stars after another great experience.
