After reading reviews, I finally decided that tonight is pizza night! The sample pan pizza squares they offered me was convincing enough to go big. So I ordered a large 14″ deep dish with Italian beef, ricotta, green pepper and olives. After 45 minutes I came back to pick up my order and boy, that was one heavy box of pizza! One slice was really enough for me but lost all willpower to control my appetite due to the awesomeness of every thick bite I took!

I lived in Michigan for a few years and used to get Lou Malnati’s delivered from Chicago so we know how this style of pizza should look and taste. This pizza lives up to that standard. The people saying that it doesn’t compare are probably not ordering the DEEPDISH. This is a 6 – 8 pound pizza that feeds 4 with 2″ of cheese. The one thing I appreciated most was that I could taste the wine in the sauce. It’s not canned Ragu like some have said. This is fresh made with spice. Not bland delivery chain pizza. The sausage and other toppings were all premium quality and this pizza is worth every cent. I don’t miss the snow and now I don’t have to miss the pizza. This pizza joint is on point.

We’ve had the meatball sandwiches and the Italian Beef sandwiches, both were good! Can’t wait to try the pizza next time we’re in that neighborhood!

Stopped in tonight to try a new pizza place. We had a thin pizza, garlic cheese bread, and fries and they were all awesome. The guy who took our order and helped us during pick up was very friendly. Thank you!

Pizza was fantastic! I’ve had Chicago style pizza in Chicago and I think this is better. The flavor of the sauce is outstanding. Highly recommended

Really love their Chicago style deep dish pizza. So tasty. Deep rich sauce flavor with a strong oregano flavor. More people need to appreciate pizza of this quality and stop eating all that horrible big chain restaurants.

Amazing pizza. Great sauce, great toppings, and the guy the was very helpful. My wife thought the sauce was a little too spicy, but I loved it. Only bad part is the location — it’s hidden under a bunch of onramps so I forget it’s there.

Unfortunately this is not as good as I had hoped. The deep dish I had in Chicago is stacked differently. Crust, meat, vegies, tons of cheese and then sauce on top. It is delicious. This one was a thick Pizza Hut type crust, some cheese, and then the meat, vegies and sauce mixed together and placed on top. Not for me. :(

I’m not going to be very popular in my opinion, but this has to be one of the most non-plus pizza places I’ve been. The first time I tried it, I was so excited for a real, authentic pie, only to be out almost $ 30 for a boring and tasteless pizza. After the urging of a fellow patron at the dive bar next door, I decided to give it another try. He RAVED about it, so I thought I should give it another whirl. After a 60 minute wait(yes, I called it in), I picked it up, brought it home and anticipated pizza greatness. Uh, not so much. Very blah, unremarkable and an hour wait for something so mediocre just sealed the deal.

I tried the Chicago dog with all of the toppings last time I was here. Amazing hot dog! The prices match the delicious goodness. Always fresh, high quality, and excellent pizzas every single time. Thin crust to thick, single topping to many, they are always amazingly tasty and satisfying. Forget fast food pizza, leave the frozens in the aisle, go to Chicago’s where the pizza is truly a notch above, in uniqueness and authenticity. Worth every penny. Chicago Pizza Company is one of the places I will always make a point to visit when in San Diego.

For some reason, I was under the impression this was going to be a sit down and be waited on type of place. It was not, but I won’t ding them any stars for my assumptions. But I mention this just so other know– it’s a very small hole in the wall type place with a couple of sad tables and a chalkboard menu. My biggest issue was there seemed to be no air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan, but at almost 90 degrees outside, that thing did nada. It was stifling in there, and there was no way I was going to be able to eat there. So our nice evening out to dinner turned into pizza at home. They gave us a few pieces of thin crust pizza to try. That was nice. The employees were very pleasant. The pizza was alright. My kid(who eats any & every kind of pizza) wouldn’t eat it because it had way too many spices on it. I didn’t care for the way they cut it. Very difficult to eat. All in all, we won’t be back because it’s just not what we were looking for, but I still give it 3 stars because the people were nice, the price was good, and the pizza wasn’t too bad.

Definitely NOT Chicago style pizza. The pizza is cut smaller than appetizer size and the sauce taste like Ragu from a glass jar. The taste was horrible they put too much basil. Very disappointing and for the price of a small veggie pizza is so not worth it. It’s a shame to say that Domino’s has a better thin crust than these guys. Never again!

This place has food on the menu you just can’t find anywhere in san diego. With a variety of different kinds of hot dogs, Chicago style pizza all the way to lasagna, you can’t go wrong. The pizza is a little on the expensive side but better quality than your average pizza place. worth every penny in my opinion. Tucked back in the shopping center, blink and you’ll miss it.

My wife is from Illinois and tells me about how wonderful the pizza STYLE is all the time. She was correct its a great style of pizza. CPC has great pizza, its a little expensive but for what your getting its a great price, the deep dish is amazing and the ingredients are amazing. Eat with confidence.

Just finished my midnight snack. I’ll be back. When I first left the establishment, I felt cheated. Looking down at my two small boxes and a bag, I thought I’d been had. Alas, the food was great! Next time I’ll drop the $ 6 pizza/cheese bread, though. I had zero intention or trying to rhyme, just wanted to get my review out before laziness embraced me(it’s 12:41 am, after all).

Decent pizza joint. A small nice mom and pop shop with a urban feel to it. I have lived in Chicago so I am very very picky with my pizza. Although we didn’t get a deep dish pizza. The pizza we had gotten was spinach, bacon, garlic and ricotta. It was very delicious. BUT I had a major problem with the marinara. It was watered down. Thankfully the rest of the ingredients made the pizza ok to eat. They also charged $ 1.75 for each additional topping. We ordered an XL pizza with 4 toppings costing us 31 $. A little too pricy. Overall experience, decent… I’ll probably go back to try the deep dish, but other than that, I won’t drive across town for this place.

I can now say I’ve been to Chicago… Chicago pizza company! Travelled here for a friend’s birthday lunch in and ordered a XXL Pizza with spinach, bacon, garlic and ricotta. Unfortunately, I missed out on this opportunity to try the deep dish pizza, but the thin crust was scrumptious. The thin crust had good texture and flavor. The marinara wasn’t canned and the seasoning was peppery and flavorful. This place uses really good cheese. All of the toppings were fresh and even the bacon was cooked perfectly on top of the pizza which is a really difficult thing to do for pizza. I was very impressed. The toppings were 1.75 each which I think is kind of a lot, but then again it was a big pizza. And they cut the pizza into smaller bites. Great pizza, can’t wait to try their deep dish!!!

Holy Crap! 3 friends & I went here looking to try a new place. 1st thing everyone working here was super friendly and informative. 1st guy told us it’s 30 – 40 min wait for a thin crust and 40 – 50 for a pan. He brought us samples while we made our decision. 1 thin crust half pepperoni half chicken 1 deep dish w meatball, sausage, garlic & tomato. We ordered the appetizer trio while we waited. The thin crust was really good but WOWZERS!!! The deep dish was out of this world. These guys know what they are doing! Only think I’ll say if you don’t want to just wait order ahead other then that EATHERE!
