There is a lot of parking here, two dirt parking lots and plenty of street parking as well. There are nice picnic benches the only problem is there is not a lot of shade near them. We used one of the port-a-potty, it was big and clean(did not smell bad). We parked here on the way to North Fortuna Mountain. The trail was good at the start but then we came across a body of water that we had to go around through the muddy grass around it, the other option was to risk getting our shoes wet crossing over some branches. The rest of the train was nice, wide, well kept. We only had to cross water two more times but it was not as bad as the first time. The hike to the peak of North Fortuna was a lot of work, not a lot of shade so bring plenty of water.

Yep! Another fine place to park you vehicle before you walk into the park. A bonus is that there are two uni-sex toliets that you may use before you take off. I parked here before taking the walk to the top of the North Fortuna Summit.

If you want to hike Shepard Canyon, Spring Canyon, Oak Canyon or climb Fortuna this is a great place to start from. Lots of Mt bikers on weekend.

This is a great park. Lots of parking and trail access for horse and human & dogs. The only draw back is the sandy gravel parking lots.
