I don’t understand all these bad reviews. My family and I have been going here for 5 years. The staff and Dr. Grosso have given us exceptional service since our very first day! They are always friendly, attentive, and patient even to our 5 year old at the time. We wouldn’t know what to do if they were not around.

I could not agree anymore than what Annette H said!!! I’m not saying this because she is my wife. The Dr and the 2 front office girls have been Awesome since day one. You need to give them a try.

Dr. Grosso is super sweet. But his staff is not friendly or helpful. We had a really bad experience and will not be returning.

He genuinely is, «as good as it gets». 5 stars, 100%. I came here, or rather my mother dragged me here, after realizing that driving at night is quite frightening when you can’t see the signs. So, after years and years of blurry vision and risking my life on the road, I opted for contacts. Stepped in, immediately taken in the room with the crazy eye contraptions. He read my mind, yes it’s a scary looking machine but it’s not going to poke your eyes out. I already like this guy, he knows me! Quick exam, thorough questions, and I am set up with a beginners set of lenses. He’s easy to talk to, and I find myself confessing that the reason it took me so long to get contacts was my nervousness in sticking something willingly in my eye. You know how hard it is to stick something IN your eye? It’s against all instincts and as predicted, my eyeballs weren’t having it. The assistant patiently taught me tips, tricks, and the basic methods of contact lenses and sat by my side with a tissue box as my eyes streamed a trail of tears, resisting my every effort. After an hour I was embarrassed, I still couldn’t do it. I was forever doomed to blurry vision(glasses give me headaches). Enter Dr. Grosso, who told my eyeballs who was boss, opened my eyelids and gently put them right in. Ah, I can see! But then he told me to take them out and have me do it. Tough love! But it worked, and I did it. Sometimes you just need someone to show you how it’s done. A year later and I am seeing fine and dandy, road signs and all. My hero. Or at the very least, everyone in San Diego’s since I can clearly see those road signs.

Went 1-for-3 with my family on glasses/contacts. My kids got prescriptions for glasses(my son) and contacts for my daughter. Her vision was worse after getting the contacts. A year later, we go to another optometrist who looks at the glasses and contacts and sighs. In his opinion, my son’s glasses were way off, and my daughter’s contact prescription was out in left field. My Son(9) went from reading 5 – 10 pages a day in a book to 30+ overnight with new glasses. That said, they got my wife dead-on, and I had no issues with my exam. Nice people, but somehow the kids were all messed up…
