Great casual dining. The wait staff is always friendly and efficient. The food is always good and they have a very good selection of low-carb dishes which makes it easy to avoid bread, fries and all those nasty carbs. But the bread and fries are good too!(I don’t always eat low carb, that would suck)

The only reason why this is a star is because Unilocal made me put one. This place is absolutely disgusting. It took them forever to even get us water. Our food came out and it looked like a Mack truck ran it over and it tasted like it too. The eggs had no taste and was a different color than eggs are suppose to be. My pancakes were so hard to cut into and they were really chewy. The water tasted disgusting too like they got it from the toilet. I will not be returning ever again.

My hubby insisted that we eat here. I wasn’t thrilled, but what the heck. Well, the first thing I noticed was that there didn’t seem to be much air flow! The air was thick and stuffy. It was hard to breathe. I tried to get passed that. I proceeded to ask their server if they offered any Gluten Free options. He replied«No… the only Gluten Free thing here is our bread and pancakes». OMG. HEHADNOCLUEWHATGLUTENIS! He could have said, chicken, veggies, rice, etc… no… the gluten filled pancakes is what he recommended… they should be better trained because if I had believed him, I’d be laid up in bed with body aches for the next week. Really dangerous for business! Food allergies/intolerances are no joke.

It’s hard to believe, and I’m sorry that I have not previously left a review for this place. My family and I enjoy coming here, and actually drive a fair distance. It’s an old-fashioned diner with nice people. A couple of our favorite things are the clam chowder, and fish fry on Friday.

My husband and I have eaten here about 4 – 5 times and always for breakfast, except for today when we came for dinner. We typically sit at the bar and the service is pretty good, but we opted for a table because we brought my mom along. We shared an appetizer of mozzarella sticks, which was delicious. My mom had a Reuben sandwich, that she couldn’t finish because the bread was soggy and the meat was overcooked. My husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast with French toast and it was as good as it always is.(That’s what we both usually order.) I had the chicken fried steak dinner and was just okay with it. The veggies were straight from a freezer bag and the roll was like a store bought roll or premade freezer variety, definitely not fresh. It didn’t seem like we got the same service as we do sitting at the bar, but it wasn’t terrible. All in all, I’m not writing them off completely, but we’ll only be having breakfast from now on.

I will not be going here again. First of all they gave me orange juice in a class that still had left over lip stick on it. I asked for mushrooms in my omelette and that didn’t happen. Also the food was not very good and the portions sucked. Its too bad I had high hopes for this place because I just moved down the street but they died today.

The service here is fantastic. Came here with my wife and son. I had the corned beef hash, my wife had the Popeye, and my son had the chicken fried steak. All orders had the option to have house fries or hash browns and either pancakes, an English muffin or toast. The corned beef has a different taste that is reminiscent of Vienna sausage. The Popeye was great, it was an omelette with spinach, mushroom and mozzarella cheese. The chicken fried steak was easy to cut and flavorful. Overall great service and good food.

I’ve been going here my entire life. Good food, wonderful service, rarely a wait, and convent location.

Crab omelette was revolting! Imitation crab that made the omelette soupy. Had one bite and didn’t touch it again.

Jimmy’s is a great breakfast and lunch dinner. I can not rate dinner since I have never eaten dinner there. My favorite is their steak and eggs, if you want a tasty steak and eggs this is a great place to go.

Don’t recommend the beef stroganoff but everyone else in our group was pleased. Good service too. Potato skins were listed as a ‘house specialty’ but they were not that great.

Stopped by for a quick after work dinner. The place nice and clean. Service was good, besides not offering re-fills for sodas.

Great food for the price point. Broasted Chicken is served«Lawsuit Hot» so be careful. This is the Only place to ho in Santee if you’re a pecan pie fan.

This place has been here 4ever and its family owned. Santee has been surrounded by chain restaurants in the last few years and we need to keep the good old fashioned home food restaurants around. We like to eat, so we’re usually spending more time driving around deciding where to eat then it hits us… When in doubt we come here and they never disappoint … The place is due for a renovation to keep up with the times… the food is just simple and good!

First and foremost Dog Friendly. They have a bowl all ready to go for water. My eggs and pork chop were good as well as, the gravy for the biscuits. Of course the pork chop was for the dog but we did a taste test. And a good size for a mimosa and the bloody marys at the other table look good too .

I’ve only had breakfast at Jimmie’s. Jimmie’s has great breakfast! I almost always get a half order of biscuits and gravy w/an egg on top over easy. The portions are good size that’s why I only get a half order. I also like their cinnamon toast. The gravy is usually super fresh with just the right amount of pepper. You can have true brunch as they do have a bar in the back. Hello mimosas and bloody marys!!! Everybody I’ve went with seems to be happy with what they get. The service is decent. If the waitresses know you they will treat you pretty well. Only 4 stars because it’s only good basic breakfast with no gourmet frills. I love some gourmet brunch when I can get it.

This is the true epitome of 3 stars. Everything here is average from service to the food. It’s not terrible and it’s not great. With all that said it was filling but so is gruel. Then again maybe I caught them on an off night. I recommend this place if you want an average meal and don’t real care where you eat or what you it.
