Sapphire Mountain Brewing Company

After waiting one hour and 30 minutes for our dinner, we left. AWFUL kitchen management, leaving wait staff to bear the brunt. We have been pretty loyal patrons for years, but it doesn’t seem to get any better. I will not be back.

Down to earth atmosphere. Smokey Mountain Ale was refreshing and delicious. Their Mac N’ Cheese was the biggest I’ve ever seen. They added spinach and Roma tomatoes for a surprising twist. A.J., my server had the kitchen toast it so that the top was crispy. Yummy, gooey goodness.

Nice atmosphere for a family meal… Game room, easy surroundings. But, the service was abysmal, and I never even ate, since my meal never showed up. The food: meh. Pretty mediocre. Net, you can do better in this area.

Great beer. Fine pub grub. Pizza was great. Nice view from the deck.

The place has potential. I felt that the prices were extremely high. I paid $ 14 for a burger. It was a good burger, but not the best burger. My son got the rack of ribs and they were $ 26. They were good but not the best he has ever eaten. We are a family of five and when the bill came, the total is what we would have expected to pay at a fine dining restaurant and not a grille on a golf course that calls itself a brewery. Which brings me to the beer review. My husband loves himself some IPA. He could not finish the Sapphire IPA and took it up to the bar to get a different beer. I have never seen him do this before. Luckily they have other brewery beers on tap.
Overall the atmosphere is nice. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery.

We were there 3 weeks ago and experienced the Worst pizza possible. Vowed not to go back until our granddaughters insisted we go for the pizza. Tried to dissuade them to no avail! They served the girls CONNECTED Chicken wings barely cooked thru. We made the mistake again trying the pizza.
RUN don’t walk away from here. The new owners haven’t a clue on how to hire good cooks as well as the staff.
Save your money and go to anywhere else but here. A frozen pizzas from Ingles is much better.

Great beer and pizza. Group of us tried several types of beers, sandwiches, and pizza. Sat on the deck overlooking the 18^th green. This is main eating spot near this area and worth it.

The food was a three but the location and atmosphere boosts the score. Beautiful mountain views and friendly waitstaff combined with a huge wood fired pizza oven makes for a fun night complete with live music.

This is our second year coming here — the Mediterranean Pizza is so amazing, the atmosphere, views of golf course and mountains make for a pretty chill dining experience. Tom Sawyer Tree Farm is near by if you’d like to cut down your own Christmas Tree.

New menul, new management and new approach thus a busy pub/​restaurant. Just had a sampling of the several different types of wines, craft beers and appetizers. What a surprise! I found the barbque sliders superb, full of lean tasty meat and perfect smoky flavor. I feel they need to work on the pizza which I would rate as average. The burgers are huge and filling. Although this restauarant is located in golfing area, don’t let that keep you from enjoying the pub like atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available and if not to chilly, what a great view.

My wife and I along with 6 others thought it would be a good idea to try the brewery one night for dinner. We arrived to find the place half full, there were several empty tables in the dining area. We had 3 young kids with us. The host told me it would be a 30 minute wait to even get a seat, as I looked at the half empty dining area. I asked him if we could sit at one of the empty tables, he said no… Maybe next time you should make reservations, then proceeded to tell my wife that there was a Wendy’s close by and that they don’t take reservations there, being a total jerk. I got on Unilocal and found Micas in town, made a call and they told me they would have my table ready for me along with the 2 high chairs for the young ones. We ate at Mica’s and the food was great our bill was over 100.00 for my large group of friends. I gladly gave our waitress a nice big tip for the great service and good food. This was all money that the brewery could’ve made if their host wasn’t such a tool. Don’t eat at the brewery they hire total jerks as hosts, instead go to Micas and be treated like royalty.

The pizza and fish and chips were excellent. Couldn’t be happier, despite reviews we read on Unilocal.
Service was slow, but the beer went down fine.
We went there to watch the baseball game. Service was secondary to good beer and good food.

Hawaiian calzones were good with decent flavor, Crab/​Jalapeño poppers were decent too (although clearly not house made). Service was good, but if you are in a hurry, you may want to rethink eating here. It was a pretty busy night & live music on Fri. of a holiday weekend. The view is amazing which is what is one of the great reasons for a 3 star vs. 2.5. Don’t think we’d be back on vacation but glad that they were open late so we didn’t have to cook after driving all day.

The food was good, I recommend it if you have kids. However, this location contracts their beer to a brewery in SC, and it was not very good at all. At least they have a couple other good beers to choose from.
If you are a fan of craft beer and local brews, I would skip this place. It is unfortunate, I think a well placed brewery would kick ass in the Sapphire Valley.

Great family friendly brewery: game room for kids, nice view from outdoor deck — high quality bar food and friendly service. Love the pizza, wings, and Gorgonzola salad — good beer and decent wine choice.

The calzones are so yummy! I have ate here several times and haven’t had anything bad, but the service is the pits! They are past slow, but I know this so I expect to have to wait. Great salads and sandwiches, but my favorite is the calzones

Average food, poor service, poor atmosphere, moderate prices. Nothing special, will not return. It’s a shame there are only a handful of restaurants in the area and this is one of them.

VIBE: Sports bar/​pub located adjacent to golf shop at mountain resort. Service can be spotty at times probably due to varying volume of patrons. Has outdoor seating overlooking golf course. Also has outdoor seating area for smokers (this is North Carolina!)
ORDER THE: Standard pub grub of burgers, pizza, etc. I did have a very good gorganzola salad.

So, I was in this neck of the woods and had a little while to stop and have a beer. I saw the sign by the side of the road and drive to this location involves just a few turns as one drives through a very wooded vacation condo development. Now… turn down the lights and make it night time and after a few drinks you may get lost trying to get home… wow, this thing is tucked away.
In side the space is tight. There was a wait while I was there and there isn’t much room to stand, so you may find yourself standing back outside.
The bar is to the right and holds about 10 bar stools/​chairs. Bartender was not very friendly, but quick to get me a drink and my bill.
This particular evening a band was setting up, but I didn’t stay long enough to hear them. In addition, there is a small deck that has limited seating.
The dress here is, «hey mom, I just came from the pool… or hey Hon, I just came from the golf course… or hey Dear, I just came from the tennis court.»
I drank, but didn’t eat… all and all a solid bar in the middle of nowhere.

Typical pub food, but this place has indoor & outdoor seating that overlooks a beautiful view of a valley and the mountains.
My mom, her neighbor, and I stopped in and had a selection of beers and a flatbread as an appetizer. Then we ordered a couple different pizzas: one meat-​lovers that had just about every animal you would imagine it woul and then also a chicken BBQ one. Both were top-​notch!
Bought a pint glass from here as their craft beers were pretty good.
