Have been here several times when passing thru Mobile… NOT again. New menu and food was NOT good. Fried shrimp were terrible no seasoning at all. Green beans looked like they were dumped straight out of a can and tasted just as bad. So sad that our favorite stop in Mobile has changed so much.

No going back — Went with group of 15 and was told we could have 3 hushpuppies each and then we have to buy — even when we all ordered meals — then the meals came and no hushpuppies on plates! Order the full platter and wasnt enough food to cover the plate and was pricy for amount we got.

There’s a new menu in town… and I DONOTLIKEIT! My favorite down home secret restaurant has changed and not for the better. The hush puppies and cheese sauce were a complimentary appetizer for each guest… Not any more… There now charging $ 3.99 for the wonderful bites. I always order the whole catfish where you see the beautiful skeleton of the fish as you eat each bite. Well this time I ordered the same catfish and it looked as if it was on a diet before ordered… Then to make matters worst they had the nerve to place s garnish on my plate. Catfish Junction… Your customers come in for the wonderful food, the country ambiance and the catfish that looks like catfish… Save them only on the garnish and give me my free hush puppies back.

Catfish Junction is on the edge of the town of Saraland. The setting is pretty with pond beside the restaurant. The inside is clean and spacious. Great view from the windows. We ate here on Monday night on our way to New Orleans. There was a sparse mixture of senior citizens and young families dining at 6:30. Our friendly server took our order and promptly brought us piping hot hush puppies and a cheesy dip for them — different. Roy ordered fried oysters, and I ordered fried jumbo shrimp. We each had a salad. Roy ordered a baked potato, and I chose cheese grits. When the food arrived, we shared everything, as is our custom. Not bad, not terrific. The hush puppies were greasy, probably from cooking too long at too low temperature. The oysters had little taste; the shrimp only a little more. We had a pleasant dinner, but far from the best seafood we’ve ever had.

Not the best oyster po’ boy I’ve had, but the hush puppies dipped in cheese sauce was awesome. This place does not serve any alcohol so don’t expect to order a cold beer on tap after work. My server was attentive and polite.

A good fried seafood place that also offers a nice selection of boiled seafood for anyone trying to be healthier but still enjoy southern home cooking. The hush puppies with nacho sauce are tasty but don’t fill up on them! The all you can eat prices are very reasonable and the restaurant accommodates family groups easily. Small children like buying a cupful of turtle food for the pond out front while you wait for your dinner. The owners also sponsor annual charity breakfasts for local causes.

Pretty tasty fish fry place north of downtown Mobile. Hush puppies and cheese sauce for every table! All-you-care-to-eat seafood dinner with catfish and shrimp for $ 11 — also po’ boys, and lots of side dishes — mac n cheese, turnip greens, sweet potato, cheese grits, etc. Spacious, clean dining room — lots of families and seniors. Pond out back with turtles and fish.
