Came here with my girlfriend. The main women was very rude right from the start. Was on her cellphone almost the entire time during her manicure and was not paying much attention. She did a terrible job on my girlfriends nails so she went home and had to fix them herself. To keep it short, don’t come here, if your looking for a good place to get your nails done take your business elsewhere.

Seriously disappointed. After getting my nails done here for the past 11 years I will no longer be returning. Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I just got home and had to repaint my own nails since it looks like a child painted them. Nail polish all over my skin and streaks through my polish. There was no lotion used nor were my cuticles pushed back or cut. This place has really gone downhill since new ownership has taken over. I would rather pay more for better service elsewhere. Too bad.

I have been going there three years. They do an excellent job on your nails at a very fair price. The recent renovation included more comfortable chairs for manis and pedis and drying. The reason I only give them two stars is that the stations are not cleaned. Depending on who you use, you may have to get there early in the morning to ensure that there is not a lot of gook on the table, and the floor under the tables has been swept clean. If they fix this problem, I would give them four or even five stars.

This is only my second time here but both times have been great! I’ve been a walk-in both times and they got me in a chair right away. This place stays moderately busy which is one of the reasons I chose it. I’m new here to the Sarasota area and I’ve been struggling to find a decent nail salon. For a gelish manicure and basic pedicure which lasts about 30 minutes, I paid $ 50. If you’re in a splurging mood, opt for the deluxe pedicure for $ 10 more. It includes exfoliation and an orange massage scrub or something. It felt weird but good at the same time and the scent… Extremely rejuvenating! The prices aren’t quite what I’m used to paying coming from NC but I’ve paid as much as $ 70 for a gelish mani, basic pedi in CO so it’s definitely cheaper than some places. They offer wine, cocktails, coffee, soft drinks and water while you’re being serviced. Like the other reviewer said, the place could use a few updates but I think it’s under new management and the first time I was here it looked like she had a contractor here measuring things so they’ll probably start remodeling soon.

UPDATEMAY2015: I still love their pedicures but can not recommend brow waxing. Manicures are okay but nothing to write home(or on Unilocal) about. Recently went in for a pedicure, brow wax and mini manicure — mini manicure as in everything but the polish. Pedicure was great but manicure was extremely rushed and did little to nothing. The brow wax was unbelievably quick and careless, no tweezing of those missed little hairs; I ended up going elsewhere two days later to get it done properly. SUMMER2014: What a find! I moved to a different area of Sarasota recently and have been trying to find a nail salon that is nearby and great. Today I tried AB Nails which is in the plaza at Fruitville and Honore next to HH Gregg. They fit me in at a moments notice which is a must for me — I’m disabled and not always able to leave the house so I need a salon that can squeeze me in pretty much immediately if I’m well enough to go out. The pedicure was fabulous. Tina really took her time with the razor, and the massage was heavenly. The massage was long and finished off with a few minutes on each leg and foot with hot rocks. She did a fantastic job on the polish as well. The salon interior is nice, but not wonderful. It’s clean but not wildly beautiful. I can’t use massage chairs so don’t know how good they are but the lady sitting next to me said hers was great. The location is handy with a Publix, CVS, Starbucks, DaRuMa Japanese Steakhouse, and more in the plaza. Target and Winn Dixie across the road on the other side of Fruitville. Very happy customer here and I’ll definitely be going back for another pedicure and to try a manicure.
