Not sure why there are two«not recommended» reviews for this place, because they seem pretty spot on. The smell in the whole facility is terrible, none of the exterior doors are locked(even though there are places to insert your key on the outside), there appears to be black mold behind the nightstand(we moved it out to plug in phone chargers), and there’s a really nice hole on my sheet from a cigarette burn. Beds are like sleeping on a stone slab, if stone slabs squeaked a lot. A framed picture appears to have been stolen from our room, and it’s anyone’s guess as to the last time these tile floors were adequately cleaned. Seriously, if this hotel hadn’t been booked for me and I had no other choice, I’d be staying somewhere else. Will update re: breakfast in the morning. Hopes are not high. UPDATE: Found a roach in the bathroom. Left without taking a shower. The breakfast was prepackaged danishes and some packets of oatmeal. Unfortunate that I can’t give zero stars.

If you just need somewhere to put your stuff, sleep, and shower, this place is A-OK. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much else from a place with«best value» in the name. A few friends and I were in town over the weekend for a friend’s wedding, so we booked rooms here because they had the lowest rate we could find and it wasn’t far from the wedding. If you are in Sarasota for a longer trip, I would probably looked elsewhere. That being said, the people at the front desk were friendly, the room was clean(though definitely showing some wear… for example, the vent in the bathroom was duct taped shut??), and for some reason, each room came equipped with the nicest mini fridges I’ve ever seen.

Fui buscando un dato que fue un fiasco por y lo único que encontramos fue este lugar. El olor es desagradable pero luego de unas horas uno lo olvida. Al final terminó siendo muy acogedor. Un buen lugar para su valor y en muy buena ubicación.

Horrible, horrible smell. I tried to get rid of it with the AC, nothing. Opening the window, nothing. Buying candles across the street, nothing. Finally, after about two hours I called the front desk and asked for a new room. The manager came up and insisted there was no smell. Every place that has reviews has complained about the smell. But the rude manager insists there isn’t. Who do you believe? Who do you want to give business to?
