Computer Advantage

A top notch place for Apple service.
I had a problem with my MacBook Pro and they determined that it was a bad hard drive. No charge for the diagnosis. I had been contemplating a solid state hard drive anyway so I had them install it. They did it quickly for a fair price. I’m fairly computer illiterate so when I couldn’t restore the hard drive from Time Machine, I brought all my gear in and they helped me, again, no charge. I just couldn’t ask for anything better.
I haven’t had the opportunity to purchase anything from their retail store but if I need an Apple product I’ll be back.

I have been dealing with Computer Advantage for 6 years and have never been disappointed with their product or their Service Department. The instructors and the salespeople are knowledgable and their patience above and beyond my expectations. We have recommended Computer Advantage to friends and they have always been grateful. We are so fortunate to have this caring and personal computer store in our community. The location is also so convenient. It is wonderful learning and gaining confidence in yourself way past the age of 65.

I have used this store many times and I have always been pleased. They did a good job when my iMac was about to crash and saved everything. Their one on one teaching is great. I prefer them to an Apple store where no one seems to want to help an older customer and generally ignore us. When I droped my iPad and broke the glass, they gave me the name of someone who fixed it in 48 hors, saving me the trouble and lost time of sending it back to Apple. Julie

Brought my MacBook Pro in for a replacement battery while on vacation. I started by saying I think my battery is dead because it has an X through the icon. The tech guy said an X through the battery icon isn’t a dead battery with a tone like my computer was really messed up. He didn’t tell me what it meant when I asked, and just had a weird tone, sort of competitive, as I said ok and waited nervously. He ran tests on the computer. After a little he told me the battery was shot and that was all that was wrong. He said they would have to order the battery and that I would have to leave a deposit. I asked how much the battery would cost and how long it would take. He went to the back and found out. The price was $ 189 (a real Apple store does it for $ 129) and the guy in charge in the back yelled out «He’s gotta leave me something though!» (Referring to a deposit) in a rude manner that everyone around could hear. I said no thanks, mainly due to the time frame it would’ve taken. I thanked them for their time, but they were all still in the back. I basically got no response and left. Bad customer service and overpriced. I wouldn’t go back and neither will my father who was with me, and he had been a relatively frequent customer there prior to this visit.

We came 20 minutes before closing, and Lauren was trying to get home on time, but she was very patient with us!!! Great service!!!

On vacation from Philadelphia and needed a computer. No Apple stores within a reasonable drive but I found Computer Advantage. So glad I did. Not as frantic as an Apple store but they had all the goods on display and in stock.
I am a casual computer user with some business needs. My sales rep spent time answering my questions, giving advice and demonstrating the differences of the machines I was interested in. They didn’t pressure me at all, didn’t try to bait and switch me or any of the other routines generally encountered when buying a high ticket item. I ended up with the machine I wanted (macbook pro) and felt great about the experience. I absolutely will take a couple of the personal training courses they offer. Overall, great environment, super knowledgable and friendly staff, a real pleasure to do business with them. If I had one regret its that there isn’t anything like it near Philadelphia!
