Wonderful Indian food. Loved the lamb vindaloo, and then naan garlic. I tried other dishes my family had ordered and they were delicious and flavorful as well. The best waitstaff/service I have experience in a long time-very attentive and super family-like. Compared to other Indian restaurants around town, and I’ve only been to two others, Curry Station tops them. Great authentic Indian cuisine.

Your stomach should be made of titanium if you want to eat here. This is a small restaurant in a shopping strip. We went here based on Unilocal reviews and were extremely disappointed. The food was TOO spicy. I like spicy but their food gave us belly aches and we had to take antacids. We had to have 2 bowls of brianni and naan to moderate. Their raita is like salad dressing rather than yogurt based so something to consider. Our 1 samosa, 2 entrees, 1 lassi, 2 raita, 1 garlic naan and tip cost us $ 50. Rather expensive for the quality of food we got. This has to be the worst Indian meal in a decade. The service was good so I’m giving two ** Thought about not writing this review but wished that I saw counter points before we went.

I have been many times since my last review. The owner told me he would make sure I had fresh tandor chicken and he has. It’s back great!!! Best Indian in town and I have tried them all including the new one on university and Lockwood. That’s a bust. So is one on hillview.

Great service and great food. I had vegetarian samosas and chana masala. Samosa was super hot and tasty. Chana masala was very flavorful. Side order of naan was freshly made and good. I will go back.

We ate at Curry Station last night for the first time. Our experience couldn’t have been better. It was the best Indian food we have had in Sarasota. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the place was clean. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely return soon.

I will definitely come back here! Since moving back from Edison, NJ, I found it difficult to get real authenic Indian food. Now don’t be intimidated by the outside, you have to go in. I was not able to catch the lunch buffet to try a little of everything, but everything we ordered was pretty good. The flavor profile was on point with the chicken tikka masala, lamb kabobs, and naan. We also ordered a side of samosa chaat, which could be my only complaint. This could’ve been amazing if it was done right. Basically, it is a fried samosa covered in a yogurt based sauce with toppings of chickpeas, cilantro, onions, shev(looks like crispy noodles), chutney sauces, etc. This place did a decent job making it, but the«chaat» was icy cold. It should’ve been at least to room temperature. Also, the samosas were soggy. They could’ve taken the samosas and placed it on top of the chaat, keeping its crispiness. Besides that, I will be coming back… to that lunch buffet at least! hahaha

I was nervous at first, located in a not so great building and location, but once we were seated I was seriously impressed! Our server was so nice and accommodating, and she knew everything about the menu. The food(I had mixed vegetable curry and garlic naan bread) was to die for. One of the best meals I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to go back again.

It’s in a strip mall. But the lunch buffet was well worth the drive to get there. The food items are made fresh everyday. The spices are perfect on every dish. My group was from England and are used to eating curry. And they loved it. A good curry buffet is a hard to find and this is outstanding.

GOHERE. The reviews don’t lie. Curry Station absolutely blew me away! A friend and I shared the Chicken Tikki Masala and the Chicken Vindaloo for dinner, with a side of Garlic Naan($ 3). I was a little skeptical of the serving sizes when the dishes came out(both in the $ 12-$ 15 range), but we ate our words, because we were bloated before we could finish our food and had to box some leftovers. I had high hopes because of Unilocal, but Curry Station still exceeded my expectations. The dishes were like a heavenly explosion of spicy deliciousness in my mouth, with complex and sophisticated tastes and a hot kick.(real food gives you a runny nose.) I was floored. Well worth every penny.(Word of warning: It was so good that I inhaled it too quickly and got a brief stomach cramp. Eat slowly, savor the taste.) To top it all off, the staff were incredibly nice, and the owner/head chef came out and talked to us at the end of the meal. Very friendly people. The restaurant also has a great atmosphere. I’m definitely coming again. There’s an $ 8.99 lunch buffet. If the food is half as good as dinner it’ll be more than worth it.

Tried this place on a whim visiting my sister in Sarasota with my nieces. It was their first time trying Indian food and I was excited for them to expand their palette. Unfortunately, the food fell short of the Indian food I’ve had in metro Detroit. Based on the reviews it seems like a sure thing. I thought the food was price a bit high for the portions we received. There was a lot of sauce but very little meat in the dishes. We ordered curry shrimp, curry chicken, chicken tikki masala, and tandoori chicken. I tried them all and I would rate them about a 6 on a 10 point scale. I didn’t really get the richness of the sauces, or flavor profiles. Just seems to kind of taste like Indian food. We ordered take out so I’m not sure if that impacted the experience. Everyone in the restaurant was really nice, so I’d say customer service is a definite benefit. Maybe try them during their lunch buffet if your interested. Showed it was $ 8.99, whereas the typical dinner meal was around $ 13.99

Definitely the best Indian food I’ve had in the United States outside of home cooking. I was a little suspicious of the glowing Unilocal reviews(ie we’re in the Gulf of FL, not NYC), but once I tasted the food, I was floored by the bright and complex flavors. We ordered the lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, chicken biryani and Goan fish curry. All of it was outstanding. We went early on a weeknight and there was no wait for a table. The lamb vindaloo was the perfect marriage of hot and sour, rife with tamarind. Done absolutely the right way. It’s a dish that should make you sit up and take notice; too many places don’t know that it should be slightly sour as well as full of kick. I was so pleased with the Goan fish curry as well. Not only cooked to perfection, but the sauce(we asked for medium) was on the hotter side and full of ginger, masala and coriander. The biryani was a large portion and quite good; the garlic naan was excellent. Overall I left feeling really satisfied and really sad. This place is literally over a thousand miles away from me. Noooo!

This place is indescribable, I could go through my meal one by one, and have nothing bad to say. Service was really great and the chef came out to make sure everything was to our liking. This goes on my list of favorite places to eat, but to top it all off I was haunted by a curry nightmare from childhood and avoided eating this kind of cuisine… Needless to say I will be coming back to this place. Homely atmosphere, not too pricy, good portion sizes, clean and cozy.

This place serves awesome Indian food. Our dinner was Lamb Madras with Garlic Naan, Pander Saag with Tawa Roti(made to order) and Samosa Chaat. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasteful. The spice levels were maintained to our request. The portions are decent for Indian Food. Quick service and courteous staff that’s very accommodating to Customer needs. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed Curry Station Saturday night. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Buttered Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Paneer Pakoda. We arrived around 5:30pm and were the only guests, by 6pm, the restaurant was full. After 6pm in season, make a reservation. They also offer a cooking class on Sunday for $ 32 per person.

Firstly I have to admit that I’m not an expert when it comes to Indian food. It’s something we rarely crave, and that makes things even harder when we do crave it because we don’t know where to go and usually end up at a sub par place. Thankfully the craving hit this time when we were in Sarasota and it was right down the street from where we were staying. Curry Station is definitely small and unassuming located in a strip mall surrounded by auto parts stores and pawn shops. Definitely not the most inviting location, but they make great use of the tiny space allotted to them. It’s not somewhere you’d go for a romantic dinner, but still very comfortable and the staff make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I was also very impressed that after we mentioned my wife’s nut allergy, the chef came by to check and make sure of the details. Even going so far as to use different water for her rice dishes. The food we had was wonderful and not at all heavy like other Indian places we’ve been too. Their naan is a little on the smaller and well done side, and I admit at first I missed the giant butter sopped naan you normally get at other places, but then I realized it also complimented the food better and helped the meal feel lighter. The food here also doesn’t try to compensate by being overly spicy, so you actually taste all the spices that go into the dishes. I’m sure you can ask for things to be hotter if you want, but we weren’t prompted like they often to at Thai restaurants. There is also a separate and very varied menu for vegetarians which made choosing difficult. We ended up ordering a few smaller dishes to share such as the chana saag(chickpeas in spinach), the lemon saffron rice, garlic naan and lentil soup. All were excellent without feeling oily. The garlic naan was also great in that it was pieces of garlic rather than just a garlic butter. The lemon saffron rice was probably the best part of the meal, with just enough lemon zest and juice to brighten it along with the saffron. Really long review short, even though I live in Tampa, I think I will make Curry Station my go to place when I’m in the mood for Indian food.

We went here with the intention of trying their buffet but ended up Buying the Unilocal $ 20 for $ 15 deal and going al carte. Was absolute worth the money! Good food, 1 entrée is perfect for 2. Decent service, value for money :) We ordered a Mango lassi, paneer pakoda, paneer butter masala, garlic naan. It’s a super hit place amongst the Americans but for desi’s it Reminds of good home cooked food by moms in India.
