IHOP

The wait was long to be seated, once seated and ordered it took one hour and 30 minutes to be served. We were not served the appropriate sides (e.g. 2 pancakes) while I don’t’t blame the waiter, the kitchen was very slow. The food was OK. Don’t come with a group not expecting a wait.

25 mins waiting time outside for table only because they dont have enough staff then slow kitchen. No wonder this waiting time is bad like that if we are sitting by table 45 mins and its been 35 mins from order. How long can take make some eggs some pancakes. Finally our waitress bring food but she must be new because she dont know how to carry multiple plates. She sit plate with food on top of plate with food. So u actually eat bottom of plates. No hygienic at all. Wow wow wow. Food plain boring.

I barely ever review. But this was a little much. So I arrive at this IHOP at like 2:50am. There’s this sign, saying that they’re doing «routine maintenance» and they will be closed between the hours of 10:30pm till 3am. A man walks up, I’m assuming a manager because he has a key. He tells me they’re cleaning the hoods and it’ll be another 30 min. Mind you it’s 3am already. I say Okay and ask to use the restroom, once I finish and start walking out he tells me they’ll be finished at like 6 or 6:30am. International House of Pancakes is supposed to be 24 hours. The American diner is going down.

I normally don’t review chain/​franchise restaurants, but my experience here a few months ago was horrible. I took my mother here for breakfast and it was awful. She ordered her eggs over easy and they came raw! When we complained to the waitress she argued with us and told us that it was my mom’s fault for ordering them over easy and that over easy means they are almost raw… um…I don’t know what kind of eggs this lady has been eating, but these were more raw than sunny side ups!
I get that people make mistakes, but when a customer complains, you don’t blame them. You should take responsibility! The manager did come over to apologize, gave us our meal for free (though we didn’t eat much anyway at that point) and gave us a voucher for a free meal at a later date– but I refuse to come here again. Absolutely unacceptable.

A good breakfast
We arrived about 1:30 to actually find a wait to be seated. It is the season and this IHOP is along US 41, so I probably shouldn’t have been as surprised as I was. We were told the wait would be 15 or 20 minutes but we were seated in 3. It was nice that our wait was almost nothing but they should be able to estimate a little better.
For my late breakfast I had their Breakfast Sampler, a nice sample of breakfast meats with 2 eggs, hash browns, and my favorite breakfast side, a stack of pancakes. The breakfast was very good with everything prepared correctly. I particularly liked the hash browns and the good long bacon strips
Our server was in a rehearsed great mood, and did a good job throughout our visit. The only negative was it took nearly 20 minutes for our food to arrive once we ordered it.

The wait here was ridiculous on a Sunday morning it took to long to get my food and she placed the bill when she gave me my food. Never came back to even ask me how the food was Was ok for a chain

I have been here before and service was great. The last time I was there my server was Kaitlyn. I ordered pancakes and when they arrived they had butter on them. As someone who can’t have dairy. I said «oh I forgot to say No Butter» any other would have taken care of it BUT not her.

I visited twice at night with some friends and I received good food and service, never had high expectations anyways. Our server had sort of a *I hope you never come back* vibe since the moment we stepped in, but it’s fine, she was nice and served us well, even if we were the only ones there.

Very rude waitress. Spoke the manger and he didn’t help! Didn’t get what I ordered. The person that was with me didn’t get his pancakes (at a pancake house) Had to asked another employee for a refill on our drink because our waitress never came back not until we got the bill did she stand there with a smile. When I expressed my unhappiness she just answered «oh» will not go back to this place, unless corp goes in and does something about the horrible service they provide!

They are so understaffed. It’s sad because this used to be a great breakfast place. Always clean. However the last couple of times the tables have been sticky, there are ants running around the syrup dispensers, the cooks can’t time their food and half the order comes out cold, the servers, except for Ros, are slow, and the ladies room toilet has been leaking for months now and it stinks! If you want hangover-​prevention-​breakfast at 3am, it’s fine. If you want a nice brunch with the fam, go to Millies on Clark.

Went for a Mother’s Day brunch. It was busy, as expected, but our waitress was still very attentive and friendly, and the food came out very quickly.
I ordered the Bacon & Eggs Breakfast, which comes with three pancakes on the side My bacon was cooked to perfection, the pancakes were feather light– and very flavorful. The scrambled eggs were great!!!
My mother got the omelet, and I tried a tiny bit and it was to die for! I ordered the lingonberry Swedish Crepes to go, and I had them later in the afternoon, they were great cold!!!
The interior is fresh and updated, unlike the 17^th street location. We will definitely return.

An updated IHOP with fresh décor and comfortable seating. The wait staff here is incredibly attentive and kind. The menu is traditional IHOP, but because of the updated digs, it feels clean and fresh. The food is decent, comforting, fattening. Bonus: the bathrooms are always super clean.

This review is no reflection on overworked waitress. Got seated at 12:10 and order taken at 12:26. So already aggravated. Watched as one waitress hid behind wall and watched the other two do work. Lazy. Ordered pancakes. Companion ordered crepes. Hard as rock reheated pancakes arrived at table at 1251. No sign of companions order so we left a dollar and departed. Feel bad for the two waitresses frustrated by the lack of ambition on part of kitchen. Place was rather dirty too so maybe the short gray haired waitress hiding behind the wall could grab a rag and tidy up. Avoid. Go hungry. Just don’t go to this ihop!!!

Standard breakfast but with the pancake option. Definitely love the chocolate chip pancakes which always bring me back to my family breakfasts. They have some other options too. Like the lunch and dinner meals. The service is steady and friendly. These are hard core old school servers. Place is always full on weekends.

This was truly a very great experience the waitress that served us was very friendly very kind the food was ok my legs are still a little runny even though I got an omelette that might have been the grease from the steak in my omelet I’m not sure but overall it was very clean and the service was very friendly I would definitely come back again

It took 15 minutes to be seated they were majorly understaffed. They washed the table while we were sitting there with a dirty towel. Most of my favorite stuff was left off the menu. Unlike most reviews here the wait staff was very nice to us. Will go back just not on a day when it’s crowded

I had my mom in town over the weekend of President’s Day. On sunday we tried to get into Crackerbarrel and then Perkins they were slammed so we got some muffins and went home.
Monday was the same I drove all over Sarasota on our way from University to Trader Joe’s and every breakfast place was slammed and it was almost noon. Last resort we went to IHOP on 41 close to Bee Ridge. I had been there several times and nothing outstanding but OK. They must have just finished the breakfast crowd beause almost every table was dirty, I really felt bad for the staff. I love the booths at IHOP but not one was clean so they put us in the back by the ktichen which was fine.
The coffee was hot but on the weak side. I ordered egg whites and bacon — I’m doing the no carb thing, I did get the hashbrowns and toast for my mom to get with her eggs and pancakes.
After ordering the egg whites I thought they would be from a carton not fresh but when they came out they were not the usual running flat egg whites, these were fluffly and really good. The bacon was really good and crispy. My mom enjoyed her breakfast which she ordered off hte over 55 menu. Two eggs, two pancakes and bacon.
The price $ 22 was high for breakfast without anything special.
Not the most memorable breakfast place but it’s nice to know they are there. I honestly have never had anything but breakfast here so my review is just on breakfast items.

It’s you standard ihop. Well kept, clean and an ok cup of coffee.

This has to be the worst Ihop experience I’ve ever had. The waitress was oblivious, even when we were waving our hands and saying her name. Then to add insult to injury, the waitress and manager both threw a fit because 2 out of the 4 of us were seniors and they didn’t want to give them the senior discount. The food was O.K., but unless you are willing or can afford to go to a higher class restaurant, the food isn’t every amazing. I can make better crepes at home.

Am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but have a soft spot for this location — a former Village Inn.
Decided to go outside of my comfort zone of just eggs and ordered the Garden Crepes. OMG! Was I pleasantly surprised. FRESH veggies. The crêpe was a *tad* thicker than I like my crepes but had a pleasant sweetness with this savory dish. ORDER IT!
