Island Style Watersports

I took my nephews, who were visiting from Wisconsin on Spring Break, kayaking. Laurel and everyone were just amazing to set up a great day & a lifetime of memories for them!
Seeing all the beauty of The Mangroves and all the other treasures Ted Spurling Park offers. They couldn’t wait to fly home and show their pictures to all their buddies.
I highly recommend them!
And my nephews said it was the best part of their vacation. Couldn’t get greater praise from a 13 & 15, ever!

Love this place. We went on a trip and the guide (Colin) was super-​knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and engaging. The Mangrove tour was divine. It’s a Sarasota must. Great outing for kids and families. Also: we left our favorite water bottles behind and Laurel actually mailed them to us in NYC, which was extremely courteous and generous of her. These guys are real pros.

We had the perfect beginner kayak adventure. Island Style brought the kayaks to us at Lido Beach. We strongly recommend starting your adventure from this put in point.
Island Style provided gently used kayaks and paddles, life vests and even plastic bags for our belongings. Remember to use sun screen on the back of your neck and arms. Also consider a bottle of water. We just wore shorts and t-​shirts.
Our guide was Kelly. He was prompt and courteous. He had us in the water and out of the water at the agreed times.
Our guide made the adventure memorable. Starting with dry land instructions, our guide exhibited consistent knowledge, patience, encouragement. He continued to provide thoughtful instruction throughout the trip.
Our guide helped us locate dolphins, snakes and pin fish along the Lido Park Mangroves. Also spotted green heron, ibis, and snowy egrets just outside mangrove tunnels.
We had a wonderful adventure and Island Style provide us with a relaxing and intimate way to experience Sarasota’s natural treasures.
