Lantern Inn & Suites

Place is currently being remodeled, but still needs to be fumigated big time. Our room looked like it was still being worked on. No paintings on the walls and roaches crawling on the floor, furniture, & floor!

New owner very nice guy. Remodeling rooms cleaning up the grounds. Now open all the time not 11:00am to 7:00pm. Housekeeper very nice and helpful. Washers and dryers here is very nice they keep laundry room clean.

ALL THAT READS THIS SHOULD TAKE HEED!
UNLESS you don’t care about nasty rooms– BED BUGS, ROACHES, little to NO amenities, blood stained bed linens, poor plumbing, shower heads that spray all over bathroom, rude bitchy manager that clocks in at 11am and leaves at 4pm with no one left on duty, unclean grounds keeping that doesn’t check on you but once a week, filthy carpet, WI FI that is advertised but doesn’t work, manager has no concern for children or guest and inhumane treatment — STAY AWAY!
My family and I moved here to Sarasota from NC so that my husband can attend medical school. We have a toddler and pre teen… there was NO affordable living once we arrives, and no concern for people who are not rich among the apparent racism. When we arrived month ago and had a short stay at another hotel we knew it was not very suitable for a extended stay with children involved.
We looked and looked and ran across what we were mislead to believe was a good hotel that was clean. It is a complete nightmare! I have NEVER been bitten by, nor seen a live bed bug or so many roaches in one area in my life! Now to here my conclusion read the top again, this hotel should not even be allowed to be open nor receive payments. No one should be subject to this. I will leave pictures of allergic reactions we had to bites. The manager said he would give our money back and we could find another hotel and threw a bitch fit when we were the ones wronged! The manager and the situation were wrong.
