An authentic French bakery, tucked off the side of Clark Rd, Rendezvous is what traditional French pastries are all about. When you first walk in the door, you are hot with the sweet smell of delicious bread, and then greeted by a counter full of French delicacies. The owner, whose name I didn’t catch, was extremely generous with his time in explaining the variety of foods on display, and giving his recommendation for what should be consumed. I picked the Feuillete, which was explained to me as a hot dog in a croissant with honey Dijon mustard. It was amazing. Who would have thought a hot dog could be made to be fancy. My wife had the quiche Lorraine, which was also amazing. Everything about this place was amazing(yes overusing that word, but it is). This is a must stop in for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Best French bakery in town! Very friendly owner. Offers great breakfast, lunch and dessert. Today’s special is Fevillete Poulet Basquaise, chicken tomatoes sauce mix pepper puff served with small salad, only $ 5.50! Fantastic and delicious!

This place is amazing. Talk about a real French place owned by French people with their beautiful French accents. I’m in love and It’s soo good. I actually got a hot dog«French» style. And other things but the hot dog was the best hotdog. I’ve lived in Sarasota basically my whole life and have been to a many many French restaurants and this place is by far the best. FYI the food and this place is addicting.

My family in Australia ordered a cake to be sent to me in Sarasota for my 90th birthday. It was delivered by the baker himself and what a cake! Beautifully decorated and every mouthful was delicious. I could go on. I’ve taken friends there for breakfast and everything was excellent. I’m so lucky that they chose my neighborhood to open their wonderful bakery/restaurant so I no longer have to drive downtown. If there were 10 stars, that’s what I’d have given them.

Had a great time at this place. My brother in law and sister in law are visiting from Seattle and insist on a visit every time they are in town. The of lets and crepes are really great. My wife had the Nordic Salad which could feed two easily. I always get the quiche Lorraine and it is very good. The desserts are also great. So good I. Fact that everyone had one then each couple split a second. They make a chocolate flourless cake that is very rich. Some folks have complained about the service but we have never had an issue. If you are in a hurry do not come at lunch as it is very busy. It is simply a great place for a casual breakfast and lunch.

Great pastries!!! I stumbled upon this place yesterday and put in an order for pastries for my Sunday family dinner night. Everyone was a fan! Napoleon’s were THE best ever!!! Can’t wait to come back and try their lunch out. You can tell they take great pride in their craftsmanship here and great service as well!
