I should have trusted other reviews! Nothing looked as good as the pictures. The food had no flavor and like many places, it only had one dish that wasn’t chicken. Don’t waste your money here!!!

I’m saddened to say that this place is now disgusting! The food was horrible I took a bite of four things and couldn’t eat any of it. As my husband and I were discussing this the table opposite of us got up and walked out. The management chased them down and caused a huge scene. Needless to say we paid and left. Will never go back!

I’ve been going there for a few years now. The last few times I haven’t been as happy. It’s a beautiful place and love the bridge entrance, but the food has lost the flair that will keep me coming back.

NONONOOOOOOOOO! Just NO! I should have trusted my fellow Unilocalers but this was one of those occasions when you just have to take one for the team when it involves a good friend’s choice for a birthday dinner. I’m not even going to blah blah blah about the staff or the décor or the pretty koi. What speaks for itself is that 3(comfirmed) out of 9 guests at our table were hitting the bathroom more than once before even leaving… me included. One of us is now at home still going through it. Not worth it!

The food was not good at all. Most things were either under cooked or over cooked. The staff was fine, but the food wasn’t worth the almost $ 12 per diner. The greatest part is when a cockroach started crawling around our booth.(picture has been shared in case you want to see) The best part? When I told them about the cockroach and they did nothing. No apology and we still payed $ 25 bucks for our dinner. Disgusting.

One word: awful! My husband and I went on an early Sunday evening. The place was half empty. That should have served as a warning. The food was dry and shriveled as if it had been sitting out all day. Most of it was cold as well. The chicken from the chicken and broccoli was gray, yuck! Everything tasted old and not very good. The only thing halfway decent was the sushi but even that was not worth the price. I know you can’t expect much from a Chinese buffet but among many of the local joints I’ve visited, this was hands down the worst. Do not recommend.

Sakura Hibachi Buffet was an average place to eat. It wasn’t anything spectacular not was it terrible. That buffet food is par, some of it below average, others fairly tasty. They have some other interesting food like crawfish on ice and octopus salad, and also some sushi, which wasn’t half bad. The best part of this place is the hibachi chef cooking food right in front of you; if you don’t utilize this service, you are missing out. The dessert bar is also average for a buffet. This is a great bargain for lunch, but there are definitely tastier places for dinner.

This was my first visit since it changed hands. I love shrimp but didn’t take any because they were too small to be worth peeling. The food looked delicious but just didn’t taste as good as it looked. I won’t go back.

This place isn’t as bad as the past reviews make it out to be. Service was pretty good. Our waitress refilled our waters and cleared our plates promptly. Food was what you’d normally expect from a Chinese buffet, nothing spectacular but it was good and worth the price. Atmosphere was ok, we went in for lunch so it wasn’t too crazy, the place is clean enough, not filthy like the other reviews would have you believe. Bathroom was kinda sketchy though, they had the cleaning supplies just sitting under the sink. Overall a decent and cheap buffet. I’d probably go again when I want to gorge myself on cheap chicken.

This is the former New China Buffet which I reviewed and liked(3 stars) based on the lower expectations I have for AYCE buffets at a lower price point. I felt the need to update that review before someone says«this guy thinks it’s good» and go based on address and no realization of a name /ownership change. Here is my brief update: The review I’m updating is almost five years old, and this place has changed names and ownership I assume, and is now Sakura Hibachi Buffet. Just a warning in this update; we went once and seems the new ownership mainly turned the hot food units in another direction. Somehow they also added the«aura» of a dirty place where you really don’t want to touch anything. The carpet was old and filthy. The food looked unattended and was really below average for even buffets. The few things I liked with prior ownership(namely fresh clams & green tip mussels) were gone. The crab legs they have are so skinny they’re not worth eating, and they re-fill them with just a few so their«customers» stand in line waiting for a morsel. Being cheap with portions(can’t afford to serve them, don’t offer them) won’t go over big in a buffet and is an indication how management views their clientele. We have never returned and won’t.
