My husband & I have been wanting to check this place out & finally made it. We got there a little early & sampled some of their rum. I really enjoyed the toasted coconut & my husband really enjoyed the silver. The tour guide was very informative & friendly. I think his name was Kevin??? We were there for about an hour total. I would highly recommend this little tour… it’s free, you really can’t go wrong!

Looking for something new to do while visiting Sarasota — or to do while living in Sarasota? Try this tour. The Tasting room is open before and after the tour. The tour is free, about 40 or so minutes and very informative. The staff is obviously very proud of their product and do a great job explaining the rum making process and answering random questions. It’s the best rum I’ve ever tried and would highly recommend this tour. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon.

Siesta Key Rum is located in an unassuming office park in Sarasota but, despite the incognito location, does not fail to impress. The owners are kind and proud of their product; they happily shared their knowledge of the various rums offered and allowed us to taste each one before the grand distillery tour. The coconut rum was the crowd favorite, and the newly-released whiskey barrel aged spiced rum was smooth and velvety on the tongue. If you’re in Sarasota and enjoy distilleries and locally brewed spirits then this is a must see… Great rum, friendly people, and a neat story turned this«rainy day bucket list» spot into a guaranteed return visit.
