Just had Stanley Steamer come to clean carpets at the house we are leasing. I had a wonderful price with a coupon. I called this morning – THEYCAMETODAY! Demetrious introduced himself, looked at the carpeted rooms, and then looked at the miles of tile in the rest of the house. He quoted me the cost if they came out again to do the tile and grout, and then since they were already here, quoted me a price less than half of that. The carpets look like new, and the tile and grout are positively looking like new. It took me 4 hours to scrub the grout in a 8×10 foot section. In 3 hours, Demetrious and his partner cleaned all the carpet, scrubbed and cleaned all the tile and grout, and carefully moved and replaced all the furniture. WOW. I told the men before they left that there was still a stain by my front door, they told me that it was just the knap of the carpet and that when it dries out will be fine. It wasn’t the knap, it was a stain, and it was still there once dry. After they left, I saw that they missed a large area in my bedroom as well. I made MANY phone calls to the store and spoke to two different people, one was a manager, both told me several times they’d call me back, then never did. I must have made 15 or 16 calls at the very least. Finally I called AGAIN and the manager said he’d refund my money and I should email him the receipt from the second company that I hired to come in after Stanley Steemers to do it right. Well I did that, but never got my refund. I will never use them again and I will tell everyone I know about their crap work, and crap customer service. In response to Mark G., I faxed that receipt three months ago. You claim you didn’t receive it. As I told you or your manager on the phone, when I finally heard from you after faxing it, I no longer can find the receipt. This has been going on for well over a half a year. I tried calling you many times to get this fixed before going to someone else, but I had an inspection upcoming so I couldn’t wait too long for you, but it was not immediately. It’s a good thing I didn’t wait for you because it took months to even get someone to speak to me. Had I waited for you, I would have failed my inspection. What you have done here is steal money from me, a long time customer who had never before had a complaint. I no longer care about the refund. What I care about now is taking my business to a company that respects its customers enough to right a situation promptly and courteously, and informing as many others as I can to do likewise to avoid being robbed and aggravated by Stanley Steemers.
