My family and I parked in the stardust parking lot during an Orioles game at Ed Smith stadium. We were met by a worker who asked us to park in a different parking space than asked us for $ 20 to park. I explained I only had my debit card and that my daughter was with one of the teams going out on the field prior to the game. We asked if we could get her settled with her team, take cash out of the ATM in the stadium and come back out to pay and was told yes. It took a few mins to get my daughter settled with her team, we than took cash out and went to go pay as promised. We were never told once you enter the stadium you can not leave. Long story short my husband left the stadium, ran across the street to pay and had to purchase a new ticket to reenter the stadium. When we left the game we came out to find Stardust had our vehicle towed. We had permission from their workers to park there, there were no signs or verbal warning of there being a possibility of being towed and they towed us illegally. We had to walk around Sarasota first to the towing company hoping they would work with us but no luck. We then had to walk and find an atm with our 4 small daughters to withdraw $ 180 to get out vehicle back. We could not afford this unexpected expense, my daughters special day was ruined and I have pictures along with witnesses and other forms of proof that we were towed illegally and Stardust at this moment will not help us. I am giving them the opportunity to work with me to resolve this issue but unless that happens I wouldn’t recommend this company for any event due to the dishonesty and lack of professionalism with this matter. If they do what is legally and morally right I will be happy to come back and update my review. Until then my advice is stay far away! They obviously do not care about their customers and are unwilling to admit and make good on situations when they are wrong.
