The food here is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! And the service is just as great. I’d come here for dinner every night if I could.

We had a perfect dinner here last night! The food is always excellent, and the fact that you cook it exactly to your liking is a great benefit. Our server Nicolette was perfectly attentive and quick to clear/refill anything that needed attention. She suggested using broth instead of beer for the cheese fondue and it was awesome that way! Her service was impeccable and I will ask for her next time. This place is great fun with friends — sharing is key to not getting too much food. The cheese fondues are served with veggies and apples and bread — which all compliment the cheese nicely. I’m not a big cheese fan, but this was truly tasty in a way I did not expect. The entrée comes with potatoes/mushrooms/veggies which you can get refilled if you happen to want more. Don’t fill up on veggies — save your space for dessert. The chocolate desserts are excellent. The ying and yang give you both the dark chocolate and white chocolate together. The have a big selection, and they are all excellent, so pick what suits your mood that day. The dippers for dessert are all fresh and excellent as well, and if you need more, just ask. This is a favorite place to eat because of the quality of the food and good atmosphere. If you haven’t been before, listen to the guidance of your server, and you will have a perfect meal.

This is a national chain, so if you’ve been to one you know what to expect. They have other options, but I always get the 4 course: cheese fondue, salad, entrée, and dessert fondue. The entrees are meat(mostly) that you boil in the broth of your choice. Tastes better than it sounds, but some people are put off by this. So, don’t bring anyone as a surprise if they’ve never been before! The menu has expanded some since I was there last, that was nice, but the old standbys were still here, too. Anyway, we just all go for the melted chocolate. Chocolate fountains are a sad imitation of the real thing. It is pricey, though, so be warned.

My boyfriend took me here on a Saturday night for my birthday in March. We really splurged and got the 4 course experience which included a cheese fondue, individual salad, entrée, and chocolate fondue for dessert. We were so full at the end we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. A fun experience and the staff have excellent customer service and really made it a great birthday for me.

This review is based only on the dessert chocolate pot… Cause I think the dinner part is not worth it… If you must eat there, just get the cheese pot and skip dinner and go right to the dessert chocolate pot! They will gave you extra brownies and rice crispy treats… Just ask!!!

My First experience at the Melting Pot was last night. The experience is unique, the atmosphere is nice with a totally upbeat staff. Our waitress explained the menu thoroughly, and was very conscientious. The Fondue concept is cool, definitely a fun experience dipping your food in your cheese sauce with another person. The desert is pretty amazing too. The one negative I have is the menu is overly expensive for what you can get somwhere else. Expect to spend at least $ 40−50/person of you want a true experience. I would go back, probably just for dessert and a drink.

We dined at the Melting Pot tonight and we are giving it 5 stars. We ordered the Fiesta Cheese, Caesar Salad, French Quarter, and Chocolate S’mores. First off, they have a nice big parking garage to park in which was good because it rained. The bartender(Rachael) made us some nice drinks before we sat down, very good. Out waitress(Breanna) provided excellent service all night and was a breathe of fresh air. My wife and I were happy with the Cheese fondue and our French Quarter was perfectly seasoned and tasted awesome. Most of the seasoning will come off in the fondue pot but when we took it out, our food was perfect. Everyone we came in contact with tonight was really nice at this location. As for the price, I think it’s obvious before you come that your check will be large. You dine at the Melting Pot for the fun and experience. If you have kids, they will love the fondue dipping.

Nice ambience, courteous staff. Fondue experience is great. However, the hot oil main course did not impress me. Chocolate fondue dessert was the best part of our meal. High-priced restaurant. I wish our cheese fondue was more flavourful & spicy.

FORDESSERTANDSERVICEONLY! I’d Say 2.5 But let’s round up because of the Dessert. I was visiting my best friend in Sarasota and she loves this place. In fact, I think she’ll be having her birthday dinner here. We had dinner at another restaurant so we decided to come by The Melting Pot for Dessert. Upon being sat we were greeted by Nicole. It was quite obvious that she was feeling a little under the weather. I could see the slight glisten of fluid waiting to escape from her nostrils. She sounded a little stuffed up. We decided to go with the graham cracker, s’more, and chocolate fondue. After ordering it the server came back and said that we were all out of the oreo fondue. But we made her aware that we didn’t place an order for that, she quickly remembered. We got waters but no napkins. One straw was broke so we asked for another. Nicole brought it back holding it in her hand. We decided not to use it because it was obvious that she was sick. Once the fondue came out it was AMAZING! It lit up my taste buds. The portion size was perfect. Not too large, very light. The fondue wasn’t heavy my any means. I also ordered a cappuccino. It was exceptional as well. I was very happy with the dessert. I don’t mean to put Nicole on blast but it was obvious that she wasn’t feeling well. When that is being noticed by the guest the server SHOULDNOT be on the floor. The manager should have noticed this upon her arrival and made her go home. Just sayin’. The Dessert was amazing!

Go here onspecial occasions, its always my first choice! Love the atmosphere, and the fondue of course. Everything is really good food wise, everything is always fresh, and since you cook it, it always cooked to your liking. This is one of my top favorite restaurants. The service is outstanding as well!

After 5 visits: Always a fun experience but would be better if they could succeed in offering a faster dining option. We would frequent much more often but it’s always a 90 minute ordeal. Food quality is good, but service has yet to be exceptional. Menu could use an overhaul. Overall: Perfect if you’re in the mood for something unique. Don’t be surprised if you walk out thinking, «We should’ve just gone for the apps and desserts, forget the entrees!»

I come to the Melting Pot in SRQ at least 2x a year and love it every time. The last time was just last week for our annual girl’s holiday night out. I have gotten to be an expert in ordering and plan much of the meal for all in advance so we can focus on the fondue and fun. The wisconsin trio cheese is the best. Order 1 entrée per 2 people since with everything else and unlimited vegetables it gets to be too much. I usually go for the big night out and then some additional meats or vegetarian sides depending on how many people we have. Mojo cooking style is the best one. Chocolate… anything is good, but less is more so half that as well. The wait staff is very friendly and available for all your needs. I also like that they donate to charities. One of my fav places in Sarasota!

Service was great and staff was very friendly. Very attentive always refilling water and other drinks. They were upset that we only wanted to order fondu and salads and not their full four course meal. They tried to drive up the bill. Quality of the fondu was not quite as expected but still good. It was however not worth the price. The atmosphere and attitude were very nice. Overall I would return but only because I enjoy fondu.
