Outstanding selection of common (but good) and unusual wines from the U.S. and around the world (Tannat from Uruguay!), fairly priced and well displayed. A gem of a wine shop.

This is a boutique wine shop with a clearly knowledgeable and friendly owner. A wine maker and distributor left some wines for me at this shop after a horrible experience at Vom Fass in Sarasota. You’ll have to read my other review for that long story! Stay far from that place.
Anyway, Mitch, the owner, was kind enough to keep them there until I could pick them up. While I looked around one of his regulars came in and I could hear their conversation. The owner clearly knows how to treat his customers. He treats them as guests. He was even very friendly with a the mail courier as she dropped off his mail. I think that Mitch knows and enjoys wine and likes people. That’s the type of person who should own a boutique wine store.
There were some interesting wines in this shop and the prices seemed very reasonable. It sounds like they also have some fun events as well. If you’re ever in Gulf Gate, check this place out.

Mitch runs a tight ship. Great daily specials and rock-​bottom pricing. Special orders are no problem. Great selection of unusual wines (and many of the favorites). Small wine bar in the back for tasting. GO!!!
