Tried this restaurant the other evening. Stuffed shrimp was good but ordinary. Expected more. Service was outstanding. Wish the food rated as high as the service.

Tried Turtles last night for dinner and had an awesome experience. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. I had the potato crusted haddock with key lime sauce, and it was awesome! Our waitress was excellent. My daughter wasn’t feeling well, but our waitress went out of her way to make sure my daughter enjoyed her visit. My wife was torn between two desserts and they offered her a half slice of each. We ate outside at night, and although it was cool outside, they had heaters running to make the temperature perfectly comfortable. Great kids meals, which included a drink and desert. Highly recommend the place.

Sit outside and enjoy the great view. This place surprised me because the prices were so fair. In general the restaurants in Siesta Key are on the pricey side so when we sat down on the outside deck and saw the beautiful view we were expecting to have a pricey lunch. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the menu. There were lot’s of good choices on the menu, fairly standard fair leaning towards seafood. All the food we had was good, the service was excellent and the view was spectacular.

Had an enjoyable lunch with the family. Great location on the intercostal waterway near the end of the island. Fried shrimp and fried calamari were fresh and crisp. Fish dishes were all good. The crab and shrimp au gratin with potato dish definitely warrants repeat visits. I expected mostly potato, but no, the dish had lots of crab with large shrimp in a light cream sauce with a crisp cheese topping. Garlic mashed potato was on the side. We have every intention of returning. Oh yes… service was great.

Totally hit up the $ 2.99 happy hour appetizers! AWESOME! Knocked down calamari, boom boom shrimp and chicken, as well as nachos, clam cake and fried avocado.(Not just me, we were a party of 5) Pleasantly surprised by all! So much that we decided to split some meals too. Burgers were good, but could use a bit of seasoning. The crab/shrimp au graten was really good.(Potatoes were just okay.) Would recommend!

Late lunch, we sat outside and it was a nice view. Warm day, side fans made for s nice breeze. Jeff had the BLT with fries. Fries were not tasty, must have been fried along with the fish, he did enjoy his sandwich. We ordered Bang bang shrimp, somewhat disappointing, only 4 medium pieces of shrimp, Jeff said they should rename it Bang Shrimp, 2nd was overstated. I ordered the Kale Salad and it was pretty good with lots of yummy almonds and cranberries. Overall ok meal, I wouldn’t stand in line for a table.

We ate at Turtles a couple of years ago and had a horrible experience with the service followed by the waiter changing the tip amount to ADD $ 30 more dollars! I saw the ‘pending charge’ that night and immediately called the manager. He said he would look into it and call back. Having not heard from him after an hour, I called him back. He said he saw where the waiter had changed the charge and that he would put through a credit. He did not apologize at all. I asked what he intended to do and he said he would talk to the waiter. I asked if he would fire the guy and he said he would talk to him. I told him the waiter represented Turtles and that theft was unacceptable. All he said is I will talk to him. Seniors, beware! They will rip you off if you are not careful.

One star for a gorgeous early summer evening on back deck with friends. One star for accommodating this vegan with a nice dinner sized salad. Fish & shrimp eaters at table had mixed reviews of food and spotty service. There has to be better on Siesta Key.

Typical and cheesy décor and menu. However, I’m not complaining. Just saying it’s what I expected. My Grouper sandwich was perfectly blackened. However nothing special about it. Bun not toasted. Blah tarter sauce. No fruit available as a side. My wife’s ahi appetizer was not a high grade tuna but did the job. Wasabi was squeezed out of a tube. Should present a little smarter than a «fake dog poop» swirl. Staff friendly. Leaving satisfied but never will come back. Only came here because my lovely wife wanted a water view during lunch. If your very close to here give it a try. If your in Siesta Village for the weekend then don’t go. Sorry to see a cool looking appetizer written on the board at the front door on my way out. Fried Avocado? Sounds cool, but waiter never mentioned any specials. He was a middle of the road order taker. Sorry dude but put a little personality into it. Can’t wait to try something in Siesta Village. To Turtles, spice things up a little. Don’t be the typical touristy restaurant. See you on the beach!

First time I been here. The atmosphere is cool, since it’s been a bit too HOT and humid, I had to stay inside but right by the window looking at the mullet shooting out of the water. I ordered a Coconut Crusted Mahi Mahi dinner. It was flaky and very tasty — just a little dry, but I used lemon juice to moist the flakes. It came with broiled potatoes and greens. Of course the drinks had to be a Red Sangria. The other order was a Potato Crusted Haddock.(never heard of it) the fish itself was a bit dry but the taste was unique in good. Same with that fish, it needed a little help with a dressing, which they give you a Key Lime dressing, but for me, not enough. So we asked for more and it made a great difference. Again, followed by a Red Sangria! Will go back to explore the outdoor atmosphere and different food. I have my eyes and stomach on the Fruitti di Mari.

Casual waterfront dining in Siesta Key. Located across the street from Turtle Beach on Midnight Pass Rd. Have been here several times and love that the outside seating is spacious with sufficient enough fans to allow a comfortable dining experience with a nice casual atmosphere. Service has always been good, not upscale cuisine but seafood is always fresh tasting and they have lots of happy hour specials. My key lime colada was a bit on the small side but tasted good and not cloyingly sweet. I ordered the salmon on the early bird menu and I think it was about $ 11 and came with a veggie mix and potatoes. Others enjoyed their food and drink and I would come again for sure.

Came in at the end of happy hour on 5.3.15 and the bartenders were in total chaos not getting along bitter with each other. The blonde’s attitude made me feel uncomfortable. Actually felt sorry for the brunette didn’t get either one of their names because neither one of them introduced themselves to me. Drinks were good Krab nachos ok. Asked for the lightning game to be put on since it was a playoffs… That didn’t happen. Have a condo next door and wish I could just walk to this bar and have a great experience; it hasn’t happened yet. Hopefully management sees this post and make some changes I love siesta key

We have eaten here many time in the past and have really enjoyed the experience, however today we stopped by for a late lunch. We were seated inside but right beside the door that servers use to reach the tables outside. We sat there for at least 20 minutes before my daughter went to the hostess and asked if any servers were available. She said«oh were did I seat you? And then did nothing but continued to seat others. Then my daughter went back to her and asked if she knew which server? She said«no she did not» When we said we were leaving she said«oh, ok».

Very, very casual. Don’t have high expectations and you won’t be disappointed. Staff not friendly(well not all) more zombie like. Food average. I don’t really recommend.

Arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night looking for a table for 2 — we were flexible, and were seated inside within 15 minutes(when the wait times were said to be a ½ hour). Jessica was our server and she appeared to be in a hurry for us to order — I don’t like restaurants where I feel like they are trying to turn the table from the minute we sit down. This is at least my third time here this season, and it gets picked due to its proximity and not having to go off the Key to eat dinner on a weekend night. A caesar salad with chicken and fried grouper were the main courses. Both were okay and we enjoyed them. Seems like we were in and out — but that is what they liked. Next time, we’ll go into Siesta Key and wait longer and perhaps have better service and food.

Family who live locally suggested we not eat at Turtles but after looking on Unilocal we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. We sat upstairs and had a great view. I got the Pasta New Orleans and it was very good! We had great service and would go again.

The location is lovely! Cannot beat the view of the calm, still water from the patio in the back. They have a special going on for their anniversary where you get a $ 33 meal for $ 20, and my dad chose that option, choosing the filet and really enjoyed it. I opted for the orange pecan chicken, and was pleasantly surprised by what arrived at the table. It was an entire chicken breast with orange pieces and naked pecans coated in a glaze… Very sweet and tasted like vacation! My bay breeze was refreshing and washed down the meal nicely. The turtle pie dessert was scrumptious! I would absolutely recommend that to everyone Everyone was very friendly and helpful… Definitely had a wonderful dining experience. Really my only complaint was that it was very warm outside, but it’s Florida in July so that’s to be expected!
