I placed an order on March 26 for some triathlon clothing. I made my purchases from the sale section because I didn’t want to make a huge investment when I don’t even know if I’ll do another tri (I hope I do). My order consisted of tri shorts and a tri top. Both were from previous years (like 2007 or something). The very next day, I received a call from Jamie at PowerTri telling me that they’d just shipped their last pair of tri shorts at the sale price I purchased ‘em at, and if it was ok with me, she’d go ahead and ship the 2008 shorts at the same price.
Um, first of all, I had no idea that clothes, like cars, come in model years. This has been an interesting thing to learn, as it seems shorts are shorts.
At any rate, I really had to applaud PowerTri for calling me and letting me know that they were out of what I ordered but would send me it’s current replacement. That’s pretty awesome; you can’t beat that desire to please the customer!!!
I sent Jamie an email that night letting her know that, yes, it was fine to go ahead and ship the ’08 shorts. She put everything in the mail right away.
On Monday, the 31^st I received my package. Everything was neatly packaged, and there was a surprise Gu gel included (Strawberry Banana)!!! Awesome! I love unexpected surprises; it’s those little things that count!
I would totally shop at PowerTri again – they have a great selection of things to choose from, their prices are reasonable, customer service is excellent and the time between placing the order and receiving it is minimal. It’s win – win for them (loyal customer) and me (good, quality stuff!).
