I was extremely happy with my entire experience at Something Bleu. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. They really go above and beyond. The owner has been in business 35yrs, and it shows. Thank you for giving my parents and I a memorable day!

This shop is simply the best! I looked for dresses in both San Francisco(where I was living at the time) and NYC, and Something Bleu in Saratoga Springs was where I wound up getting my dress and I couldn’t have been happier. I’m so glad I wound up at a store that is intimate and personal; we knew everyone there by the end of this fantastic experience. Not only did I find the perfect dress — and they have so, so many beautiful ones there– that was so unique and so beautifully crafted, but I also coordinated every aspect of my look through the shop from tailoring to my veil. And every part of the experience could not have been better or shockingly, more relaxing and fun. If you’re looking for a bridal shop that values a personalized approach, respects your budget and your wishes, and has a beautiful yet not overwhelming selection of unique and amazing quality dresses, look no further.

I could not have asked for a better experience! Terri went above and beyond to help me find my perfect wedding gown. Her intuitive nature led me to the dress almost immediately, making the process seem effortless. Allison and Denise were also a pleasure to work with! Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. They gave me the experience I had always dreamed of!

Something bleu was absolutely amazing. I give it 5+ stars and if you are looking for your wedding dress it is a great choice. Now if you go birds of paradise downstairs for a bridesmaid dress that is a different story all together. The older heavier set sales woman was so rude I could not get out of their fast enough. Avoid for bridesmaid dresses especially if you are not a size 2 or 4.

I couldn’t be happier with Something Bleu. I purchased two wedding dresses here(ha, long story) for my June wedding. I ended up with a one-of-a-kind dress at a great price. There’s truly something for everyone– high-end designer dresses, and simpler dresses as well. There’s a great range of prices too(check out their sale rack!!). They also have mother of the bride dresses and bridesmaids dresses. The salon itself and the staff are wonderful. Terry, Janelle, Beth, all were great! What I liked is they really help guide your decision. They are honest and emphasize the positive, while also being realistic about what you’re trying on. I, like many brides, had major dress regret with dress #1. Denise(the owner) was kind enough to work with me on my options. This is definitely not typical of bridal salons. Many are just out to grab your deposit and kind of trap you into a dress, but not Denise at Something Bleu. Don’t go to Albany or Schenectady(or Colonie… you know the store I’m talking about!) for your dress. You won’t regret it.

Let me start my review by saying that I did not actually buy my wedding gown here, but I did have it pressed here before my upstate NY wedding in November 2012. I live in Boston and bought my gown there, but I needed to have it pressed before the wedding, closer to our wedding that was being held north of Saratoga. I called Something Bleu, and they were SO nice over the phone. We discussed times for me to drop off and pick up my dress, and I knew that my dress would be in good hands! The ladies at Something Bleu could not have been nicer or more calming to work with. When I picked up my dress, it looked gorgeous — perfectly pressed! My dress was made of both lace and satin, and the fabrics looked absolutely lovely. While I was in the store, I looked around at a few other dresses and was very impressed by their beautiful selection and very inviting environment. I hope I have a close friend who wants to go dress shopping there in the future so I can go with her and experience that aspect of the shop! :)

What an incredible experience! While shopping for a wedding dress I booked 4 different appointments at various bridal shops, however, once I stepped my bare feet into this salon I knew I had found the right place. You book an appointment at Something Bleu and you are the only bride in the shop. The staff go out of their way to make sure you feel so special. All of the dresses are in incredible condition and they have three price ranges so you can choose a beautiful dress in your budget. I actually fell in love that was under my $ 1500 budget. The whole experience was such a positive one. I honestly never felt more like royalty than I did at Something Bleu.

Dress shopping was one part of the wedding process I was really not looking forward to. I made one appointment at Something Bleu, and ended up leaving having chosen a dress and enjoyed the process. The staff was wonderful from start to finish. They are very respectful of your budget, and advise you to only look at racks within your price point. I chose several dresses to try on, and the one I ended up liking the most was far below my budget. For the service they gave, you would think I was buying a dress ten times the price. Beautiful dresses, excellent service, highly recommended.

This bridal boutique is something else because from the moment you enter to the moment you leave, they make you feel at home and sincerely cared for. Everything is personal and every need is thought of! Denise(the owner) and Terry(my consultant) are remarkable women who love what they do and the brides that arrive at their doorstep. I was looking for a gown within my budget and that had sleeves — something that many stores no longer have. While this is a bit«unconventional,» I found my dream dress at Something Bleu and look forward to the big day! There is a dress for just about everyone at Something Bleu and the service is impeccable. I recently ran late for an appointment and arrived one minute before closing time at the shop on a holiday weekend. In desperation to see and try on my dress, I had to call the shop because the front doors were locked.(Not to mention not wanting to have come in vain and to drive all the way back home). Despite their busy schedules, Denise and Terry kindly and generously reopened the shop to let me try on the dress and simultaneously melted away so much of the stress and anxiety that comes with wedding mania. While I’m sure that they would’ve liked to have had a timely start to their weekends, they put their customers first, which is something that is becoming difficult to find these days. That being said, I will do my best to come on time for all future appointments! Thank you to all the staff at Something Bleu for being part of my wedding!

Yes, its a little bit unorthodox that you need to take your shoes off before entering the store… and I wish that they had told me that would happen before we arrived so that I could have brought socks or something but whatever. Once my mom, sister-in-law and I stepped barefoot through the doors and into the shop we didn’t care one bit about our bare feet. The walls are lined with gorgeous sample dresses, all organized by designer, style, etc. You know how I know how they’re organized? The woman who greeted us took the time to explain everything in detail before letting us browse the racks as we waited for my consultant to finish with the last bride. As an easily overwhelmed bridal shopper, this introduction was welcome indeed. We pulled dresses, asked questions about fabrics and changes, and discussed options… no matter who we talked to, they were all 100% knowledgeable about their product lines. Amazingly helpful… and that’s even before I put a dress on. Now, brides-to-be, the no shoes allowed policy wasn’t the only unique thing about this store. First, when your appointment starts, you and your entourage are led into a large — private! — open room where you work with your consultant. No other brides are anywhere near you, ever, and the only audience you ever have is comprised of your consultant, entourage, and sometimes Denise — the owner(she’s great!). Everyone, and I do mean everyone, at this store is very friendly and professional. The other unique thing? Before you’re allowed to put a dress on, you have to put a net pillowcase thing over your head. Yes, its a bit unorthodox however its only on for the two seconds it takes to get the dress over your head and its meant to preserve the cleanliness of the gowns. I can’t be mad at that because, as a result, all of the dresses that I had on were in PRISTINE condition. I loved everything about Something Bleu and, assuming they can make the changes that I requested for a dress, I will be purchasing from them soon.

I was SO impressed with this store, that even though my cousin ultimately chose another shop to get her dress from(much to my disappointment, but she’s the bride and I don’t begrudge her that!), that I told myself I would shop for MY wedding dress here. The time has come for that(yay!), and I haven’t been yet to try on dresses, but am excited to go back there. Personal attention from the owner, and the dresses are all very unique. It’s got a couture, non-corporate feel to it(one of the companies they get dresses from, she told us, are handmade by little old ladies in France — I love it!), which is very much my style. Some of the dresses are a little pricey, but they have more moderate options, too. If you’ve got a larger budget for your dress(or, even if you don’t), definitely check out this shop!
