As a rest area this is a good one to stop at. It has a trooper station based out of it, and it has a lot of area to get out and walk around, including area’s to walk your pet. Safe, clean, what more could you ask for of a rest area?

Nice rest area. Clean bathrooms and helpful info desk. No food however. Also watch out for the state police substation.

«are you really checking in to a rest stop?» «screw you.» clean bathrooms. $ 1 coffee machines. tons of brochures for festivals, hiking, and other things to do in the Lake George area. abandoned on Friday evening. me and my friend Lou were contemplating sitting behind the info desk to troll people, as we were ahead of schedule on our drive, but thought better of it.

Here’s a good rest area, if you are in the Saratoga Springs area of NY. Although it’s got spectacularly clean bathrooms, it also has a manned booth at which you can ask questions about the region. Also around the desk, are several publications that deal with the Lake George area(to which most people travel to). Be careful, however, as this is also the location of a State Police barracks. You’ll commonly see at bare minimum 2 – 3 cars sitting in their parking lot in specially-marked parking spots. The exact barracks location is unknown however. So, be on the lookout. This location also has one water-fountain for every restroom there is. However, due to it’s smaller size, it does NOT have any fast-food facilities at this location.

First rest area north of Albany, NY. Facilities are clean and ample room as our tour bus came to a screeching halt non-stop from New York City’s Chinatown, Manhattan. I rate it four stars as I was hoping for a Arby’s, Applebee’s, or Wendy’s inside but it houses the typical McDonald’s and Starbucks.
