The Royal Thai Spa

I just got my massage today! And I am so excited about that. I have been tried so many massage around South Bay, and some massages in Thai land. Since I am not a professional for massage, I couldn’t say its traditional or not. What I can say is that the Royal Thai seriously bring me back to Thai land. This place is always my first choice, no other places will be in my consideration anymore! Plus the front desk is so friendly!

A few of us girls went and as they are very nice at first their tune changed to blame.
They gave a 90 minute complimentary massage which I accepted but after 15 minutes of telling us why we didn’t like it. I gave the certificate to my friend which didn’t have a good experience and will be trashing the certificate.
Here are some of their reasons why we didn’t like it (there are 4 of us and all of us rated the masseuses from a 1 – 3 out of 10)
They implied to us that:
A) We haven’t been to many Thai massages before so we don’t know what we’re getting.
B) we always give more than an hour massage. My friend got 45 minutes and she argued that it’s at least 55 minutes.
C) I usually went to the sf location, the Saratoga location is highly a disappointment (technique, customer service) and thanks to the girl owner, she has lost a customer and the people I brought over to sf I will be lobbying them to not continue to go.
Save your money and go somewhere else.

It was a relaxing hot stone massage. Paula made sure all the tightened muscles were relaxed by the end of the session. It was my third time here and it’s just amazing place.
They know exactly which muscles are stiff and help relax these…

New company in the area & excellent Thai massage. My husband and I chose the couple’s therapeutic massage so we had the dividing door open up between the two rooms. Clean & friendly staff. Lenny, the owner is very nice and attentive. Definitely a keeper.

This business expanded from their location in San Francisco (Fisherman’s Wharf Marriott Hotel) on Columbus Ave. It was the best combination of foot soak/​scrub and massage I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, I don’t make many trips to SF anymore. Saw a Groupon deal for Royal Thai and discovered they are located in Saratoga. Oh yeah, closer to home (in SJ). Had to check them out. Got the Groupon deal for the Relax Package and booked Paula.
The location is in the heart of downtown Saratoga. Give yourself a little time to park, but going on a late Sunday, wasn’t too bad. Going inside you’re welcomed by the soft music and a big smile. Beyond the door, you enter into a large number of rooms. More upstairs. It was going to be good.
My only knocks: the massage table itself and the A/​C. The mattress pad was hard and the A/​C made it a bit chilly. I’m sure the A/​C is for the therapists, but maybe electric blankets or heated pads. The tables have the hole for the face, not the cradle kind. I prefer the cradle because it’s adjustable. For these items, I knock a star.
The massage was top notch. She would check in occasionally to see how I was doing. «Mmmm, great… Zzzz» She found my knots and worked them. Oh, the pain, but in a good way. Turned out it would be a 90 mins. massage (no foot scrub) and that was fine with me. At the end, we did some Thai stretches of the arms/​back/​legs. Wow, that was nice! It was truly icing on the cake.
The regular pricing (non-​Groupon) is fairly reasonable. It’s not a Preson Wynn price, rather more down-​to-​earth if you ask me.
Paula’s English isn’t too good, but I just let her at it. Highly recommend. I’m just so excited Royal Thai is in the South Bay!

Best massage ever. I had Samantha give me an hour and a half therapeutic massage and I was so relaxed I feel asleep. I used to just have the regular Thai Massage when it was under the old owner and it was nice but this therapeutic one was to die for. They are so nice and clean and now they even are selling incense with cute little holders. I go there twice a month and it is worth the money..

Initially had a really awful experience where I was annoyed at the therapist after two hours, but Lenny followed up and was confident I would have a different experience if I gave them another shot. Indeed, it was great… Monthiya killed the knots on my shoulders which is what I wanted. You want a softer touch, Samantha was also great! Would definitely recommend the deep tissue island style aromatherapy! I’ll be back for more!
