Excellent food. The burger was delicious and the chips were good. The only downside to our visit was the light rain. Great service.

Great little outdoor café! Looks are deceiving. The menu was fun, creative without being pretentious. The grilled cheese sandwich was terrific and so were the nachos(chicken and pork).

The fish sammy got rave reviews from my group. The fish is grilled, not fried, and has a delicious spice rub on it. Word of caution: it is messy — but worth it! The salt & pepper potato chips are a great accompaniment. The outdoor seating is a fun way to enjoy the ambience of Saugatuck. A good place to fuel up before or after hitting the shops!

We walked around a few blocks in Saugatuck before we found this place which looked extra inviting because there were many people there sitting outside enjoying their food. My boyfriend ordered the fish sammies, and he was very impressed. The fish was tasty and the sauces were extra yummy. I ordered the grilled cheese minus the tomato and it was okay. It was pretty dry. I think there was supposed to be a chive sauce but I didn’t detect it on mine. I enjoyed that the meals came with a side of chips, crunch crunch crunch. Chips even better when put inside my grilled cheese(carb on carb is always a good option). Some cons are that they don’t except cards, and that water comes in the form of water bottles, extra cost and not very environmentally friendly. Overall a cute little place with some tasty food, but come prepared to pay for the extras!

When I read Lucy’s Little Kitchen was by the folks who own Everyday People Café in Douglas I was intrigued. Unfortunately the last time I was in Saugatuck I wasn’t able to make it but it was definitely at the top of my «to try» list for my next trip. So when I came back to town with some pals this past weekend I knew it would be the place we would have lunch when we first arrived. The place is really casual. Like, all seating is outdoor and either at small tables or bar seating. We had a group of 8 so we took up a whole bar but for our sized group it was perfect. In general it’s a «first come, first serve» seating and as long as there are tables you can seat yourself but once tables fill up they start taking names. We were at that part of the afternoon so we had to wait about 20 minutes or so for a table to open up but in general it wasn’t that bad. So yes, all the dining is al fresco which is lovely on a really nice day. They have a menu that varies from burgers to sandwiches to salads and an amazing sounding plate of tuna nachos. I’d guess about 2/3rds of my group, including myself, went with the lobster roll which was a great call. Huge, meaty chunks of lobster with just the right amount of mayo and some crunch veggies served up on a toasted, buttery split bun. It was excellent. My only complaint is that a few of the lobster pieces did still have the shell on which I painfully bit into a couple of times and had to then try and fish out of my mouth. But the flavor was so good all was forgiven. I also wasn’t crazy about the salt and pepper potato chips on the side, mostly because I’m not a big fan of excess pepper. Would have much preferred either a plain chip option or french fries. Seriously, some shoe string fries on the side of that lobster roll would have been the bomb. The other bummer was that they were out of sugarcane juice so they couldn’t do their juice, which I had been eager to try. But I did order the lemonade and it was very good. Place is cash only so be sure you hit an ATM before coming by. But DO come by, it’s totally and completely worth it.

Recommended going for the food but don’t set high expectations for service. Food: The fish Sammy and the burger were very good. However, each was served with a small amount of not very tasty peppered potato chips. For the price, I would have expected a higher quality side. Service: All of the seating is outdoors. Given the casual setting and the fact that the menu includes salads and sandwiches, the wait for the food seemed unreasonable. Our server made no effort to exceed the bare minimum of serving duties. Again, for the price and setting, I would have appreciated better service.

Neat little neighborhood spot. Outdoor seating only– if you’re here with a group on a nice day, you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. The menu at Lucy’s is limited with a short list of tried and true entrees. Get the house burger, medium rare. It’s amazing. My boyfriend has been talking about it for a year before he finally brought me here. The lobster roll is small but super fresh, as in, it tastes just like the sea. I personally didn’t like it but I’ve never been a fan of super fishy seafood so that was my mistake. I’m not a big fan of the black pepper covered chips that came with the sandwich entrees but that’s really just a personal preference. The Ahi tuna nachos are good. I wish the tuna was a bit more seasoned but I enjoyed it nonetheless. One of the people in my group ordered ice tea and was displeased that it didn’t come sweetened. Props to Lucy’s for bringing our table 6 bottles of water *and* cups with ice rather than just cups of water. That’s definitely useful on a hot summer day!

FISHSAMMY was the BOMB! Nice kick to it! I highly recommend this place. Patio area only, cash only, and staff was decent. Music was also excellent for atmosphere for a patio area.

Whoah! Same owner as Everyday People and it shows! Really creative burgers and sandwiches in relaxed(all al fresco dining) atmosphere on Water Street right in the heart of Saugatuck. A must visit every time we’re in the area.

Note: Cash only! Nice little outdoor café in downtown Saugatuck. Highly recommend Lucy’s Berger and green salad with lobster(add $ 8). The lobster roll is also nice but the portion is a bit on the smaller size.

Fun concept of purely outdoor dining. One drawback: cash only. Enjoyed the lobster roll, brimming full and buttery roll which was lacking from the other local restaurant we tried a lobster roll at. My husband really enjoyed the Fish Sammy, the seasoning was unique and really made the sandwich.

Love this outdoor restaurant! Great seating are to people watch — the tuna nachos and fish sandwich were sooo delicious! Hoemade lemonade to top it off! Reasonable prices, but cash only. We wanted to try their sister restaurant in Douglas, Everyday People Café, but ran out of time, but will be babck again!

Great food in a great location. All outdoor dining, but be sure to BRINGCASH — there’s a local bank(Chemical Bank) just a couple blocks away. A tiny bit on the pricey side for lunch, thus the 4-star rather than 5-star review.

I can’t believe this place does not have more reviews. We had the Lucy burger cooked medium rare. It was delicious. The outside was a little crispy and the inside was juicy. Our waiter was very friendly.

CASHONLY!!! Absolutely the coolest concept! All outdoor eating, food is made in a small shack like kitchen, you seat yourself, and enjoy! Really good food, a little pricey, but good service and food is worth it. Pleasant staff, great atmosphere and fun. Try the sugar cane mango-raz drink, SO good! The potato salad is also delicious. Nachos can be shared, there’s a lot!
