Just passing through and first time here. Found on Unilocal.I had prime rib, queen size med rare. Best portion of prime rib I have had in years. Not quite as tender as some but excellent chunk of meat. Wife had a chicken topped salad and we both had soup which was very good as well. Lucky we were by on Thursday as it is only open Thursday through Sunday and not late at that. Great stop.

is cozy, the waitstaff is friendly but never over-attentive.the food has always been excellent and the owners desire… to have prices fixed so that a couple can enjoy a meal for 50.00 {with a drink} is so neighborhood friendly. we love our little tavern… thanks, ed and bobby

Our friends invited us here for a fun Saturday night out. We were impressed! It has a nice quiet ambiance. It has a quaint little bar with top shelf liquor available. The food was great!!! Everyone in our party of 12 loved their dishes. All of the meals were fresh and full of flavor. The entrée sizes were average and prices just right. We will be visiting again!

Our family ate there on Saturday for the first time. From the outside, it looks more like a sports bar. The inside is a nicely decorated, warm and intimate. The service was outstanding from the moment we entered. The waitstaff is very attentive. The wait for food was apppropriate. The food itself was delicious. Burgers looked and tasted homemade. Portions were reasonable. Desserts were heavenly. While this restaurant is a little off the beaten path, it is worth a few extra miles for the experience.

Ate there for the first time last night — really enjoyed it. The waitress was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food was great. We had the fiesta bean dip which is a meal in and of itself. Then fish taco’s — the chipotle sauce added the perfect amount of kick. And finished with a fresh homemade apple crisp — so delicious! They have an outside bar area which would be awesome in warmer weather and a fireplace inside for the upcoming winter months. Overall it is a great find and we will be back!

Terrific meal. Very laid back atmosphere. Talk with George, the owner/​bartender. Great guy. Has lived in the area all his life, so if you want to know anything just ask! I had the veal with apple cider demiglase and peanut butter pie for dessert. My dad had the prime rib special and it was beautiful and tender — cooked to perfection. Drinks, dessert, all told $ 81, plus a $ 20 tip. You won’t get a better meal for two for $ 100.

Wonderful atmosphere, great food, very fast service. We have been going to a restaurant in this building, which started life as a blacksmith shop in the 1800s, for over 40 years. This newest restaurant is wonderful and I highly recommend it. Skiers, stop by on your way down the mountain on Route 32… you won’t be sorry. Our server tonite was Rachael. Very efficient with a big smile.
