We ate at this cool little BBQ place tonight. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had the pile of pork(shredded pork) and I had rib tips. The only non-pork option I saw was a satay situation that I was not getting involved with. The pasta salad was really good, but the cucumber salad was fantastic! They have sweet tea and a couple of different beers(Red Stripe!) as well as a few interesting sodas. There are picnic tables outside and great music is piped out and the friendly staff brings the food right out to you. The Honey Chipotle sauce is one of the best sauces I have ever eaten! The only two drawbacks are that it is cash only which sometimes throws us off and there were no chicken options and I typically only eat chicken or fish. It was totally a great night though.

Owned by the same owners as Miss Lucy’s. One little secret is that you can get the heirloom tomato salad from Miss Lucy’s here for ½ the price, win! Some of the desserts are the same too and are in cute little mason jars. Seating is mostly outside with live music. Love the atmosphere. I had the brisket which was a little fatty, but I’ll over look it. The mac and cheese was tasty and my friends nachos looked slamming except that she got pork on them and I don’t dine on swine. I can’t wait to return HITS2016.

Fattiest, read that again, fattiest ribs I’ve ever had at a ‘cue which tells me two things: 1) the owner’s buy the cheaper pork and 2) these St Louis style ribs don’t spend much time at all in the smoker Pulled pork was dripping grease which is not the signature of actual slow cooked pork. Being the only ‘Cue in town, this place probably does a fair business; as such they could focus on quality and do a great business. Great barbecue will have you wanting more, most of our order went in the bin. What a shame.

A very casual, somewhat sketchy lunch place which is sometimes exactly what you are looking for. Unfortunately this isn’t it. All the tables are picnic tables and outdoors. No waiter service — you order inside and they’ll bring your BBQ to your table. Beer and wine are available at an outdoor beer stand for walk up only. Our bar server was pleasant. The kitchen help not so much. They brought us a huge slab of ribs and a plastic knife and fork. I asked the kitchen for a sharper knife and they didn’t want to. I had to bring my ribs back to the kitchen to get them cut. It wasn’t worth the effort as they were very dry and tasteless. I won’t be back.

Took a pit stop in this town during a long road trip and Cue had a big patio with live music. The food was ok. The chicken had good flavor and wasn’t dry. «Pile of pork,» however, was flavorful but very dry. Same for the cornbread – seemed like it had been sitting out for a day or two.

Great for a diner out with the family. Super easy low key, exactly what I wanted on a cool summer night. They do more upstate BBQ fare. Also allergen friendly, and good ingredients! I love the chicken wings, they are drool worthy!

Driving thru town and stopped here on the way to the Headless Horseman hayride when I saw the cue sign. I was thinking about putting brisket on the pulled pork nachos, $ 7, when the extremely friendly staff suggested that the pork is better on nachos. he said he would give me a sample of the brisket. nachos were definitely good, just needed more meat(always more meat), more jalapenos and better layering of ingredients brisket also but just a bit fatty for my liking. grabbed a beer from the cooler in the car while waiting and enjoyed it on the patio. great patio and cute garden to eat in, quite a pleasant barbecue experience. Left sticky and satisfied. plus one for Carolina barbecue sauce.

I love the outdoor seating/beer garden. There is often live music on weekends. This isn’t the best bbq I have ever had, but it is good and priced fairly.

Disgusting. They gave me sliced chuck roast and tried to pass it off as a 5.99/lb cut of brisket. The pulled pork was like wood chips. Inedible. There were four of us and we had to throw it all out. No one could eat it. Baked beans had hot dogs and what tasted like gravy in it as a sauce. I have nothing good to say about the food. The gravel patio is great. That’s about it.

So, if you have read any of my other BBQ reviews, you will note that I have a fondness for(Texas-style) smoked brisket. To be precise, I have concluded that the true test of a BBQ place is their brisket. It should be moist, tender, smoky and with a good smoke ring on the outside. In my last 35 years, I have had one 10, a few 9s, and way too many 3s or less. I took the drive to Cue yesterday, a warm summer day, and ordered the brisket main, which came with cole slaw, cornbread and one other side(I chose the baked beans, since I had heard that it was not from a can.) I’ll give the brisket an 8; it could have had more of a smoky flavor, but the tenderness and the smoke ring more than made up for that deficiency. The beans were OK, the cornbread was dry(and dried out even more while I was working on the brisket), and, to be honest, I didn’t even try the cole slaw. I sat outside, not in direct sunlight, due to the heat, and several umbrellas helped to provide some protection from the sun. There is a parking lot across the street from Cue. I’ll be back. Maybe it will be better the second time around. I would love to give it five stars.

Decent BBQ for upstate NY. Nothing to write home about but enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. Also yummy desserts. The outdoor seating makes for a great atmosphere and also very family friendly.

Cue, a delicious surprise in Saugerties. Pork was tender and juicy and after you slather with spicy chipotle, bbq or carolina sauce you’ll be feelin quite nice. The Mac & Cheese was a gooey warm delight and there’s even a yummy Seitan sandwich as a counterintuitive nod to healthiness. All in All. Great Beers &BBQ, friendly staff. and the Elmore James coming at you to put you in the right frame o mind from the jump. An excellent joint to hit after blowing a bunch on Barcelona chairs at Green.

Awesome outdoor beer garden environment with BBQ to boot. We had the pulled pork and the brisket — both of which were tender. The BBQ sauce served on the side is a must as the meat itself doesn’t have a ton of flavor. The collard greens were meaty and delicious but the cucumber salad was missing a bit of sweetness. The cornbread and the slaw were pretty standard. It would be great if they spiced them up a bit. Magic Hat on tap was a huge plus! I’ll be back for sure this summer.

Good Bar-B-Que is few and far between in upstate NY! We found this place by doing a search on Unilocal! on our way back up the Thruway. I am not sure what others experiences and maybe changes have been made, but overall, I found it to be a positive experience. For example, our food was brought over to us and none of our meats were served with sauce. The sauce sits on the table with 3 sauces to choose from. I really enjoyed the Golden Carolina, but the Maple Bourbon Chipotle sauce was phenomenal. My family and I had a ½ rack of St. Louis ribs, a rack of baby back ribs, a pile of pork, with sides of baked beans, mac n cheese, and collard greens. The collard greens were very good, possibly the best side we had. The mac n cheese was decent, but wasn’t very cheesy. The baked beans were made from scratch, no cans here! Now to the entrees! The St. Louis ribs were good, but a little tough(common for this style or ribs) St. Louis vs baby back ribs were personal reference The baby back ribs were awesome! Extremely tender fell right off the bone! The pile of pork was my personal favorite. The pulled pork was great and extremely tender. Tons of flavor it had clearly been smoked. I will definitely return soon! In response to the earlier reviews I would say they were still finding they’re groove. It seems they have, now lets hope it sticks!

Very disappointing. As a BBQ fanatic I was excited to see a new place in the area. I consider BBQ slow cooked over smoke. This stuff tasted like roasted or grilled with«BBQ» sauce, there was no smoke flavor at all. 4 of us in our party and none of us liked the food. Word of advice, smoke the meat and don’t worry about creating gourmet sauce. Good Que shouldn’t need sauce.

Yo, Cue! Your food is delish! We have been 2 times, both times excellent! We had pile of pork, ribs, mac and cheese, collard greens, the iceberg wedge, a couple of other sandwiches… so fantastic! The sauces are out of this world! Every thing we had was perfect. The corn bread is perfect, not too sweet. And the desserts are phenomenal! This joint is the perfect casual place, unbelievable food, kid friendly, hipster friendly, foodie friendly hang out spot. The kids love the swing, and I think the interior, decorations, benches, etc. are sweet, too. Def a place we will frequent on a reg basis. So nice to see a great new business in town!

Dear ‘Cue: Your food is great –really super! The ribs were great, the brisket was great, the pork was great. Two thumbs up on the mac n’ cheese, the collards were surprisingly delicious and just like grandma used to make with a hunk of ham hidden in there. But, please, please, please… Lose the plastic cups you serve your sides in. I’m sure there is a paper alternative you could use, and it would really cut down on the plastic going into the landfills.
