Fiber Flame Studio

This place is fantastic! Did a girl’s night out crafting project. Our teacher was the owner and she was very knowable and had a wonderful teaching style. She was generous with the supplies and left us cross over from one craft to another. I would recommend this spot for kids, tweens and adults. The only downside was running out of time. It’s crafting with style!

This price is terrific. I always bring my 7 yo granddaughters when they visit me and now their parents have gotten into the act. The owners are so helpful and encouraging. Granddaughters have taken two ½ day workshops there and it’s become a ritual for when they visit each summer from Rochester. I’ve taken 2 classes and just love the atmosphere and the variety of options. My daughter has asked the owners if they would have a franchise in Rochester. Wishful thinking! Cannot imagine someone not liking Fiber & Flame, whether you 5 or 85: something for everyone.

I brought my niece here last week, and we had a blast. It was a little pricy, but well worth it. I will definitely be back again, and again and again!

This place is amazing. I grew up in the area and frequently return for family visits with my 8-​year-​old daughter and husband. We were in town for one such visit, driving by on our way to New World Home Cooking (another favorite) and I noticed the sign and thought we should stop in the next day. Wow, am I glad we did.
The concept is similar to a paint-​your-​own pottery place but it is so much more. You can do that, but they have so many other choices! You can create your own clay sculpture and then come back after it is fired to paint it. You can embroider a tote bag, glue fabrics, buttons, sew swatches, paint a picture frame — all manner of create your own whatever is here. The two owners were both there to help my 73-​year-​old dad, me and my husband, and my daughter each make something unique. We ended up with 2 mugs, a picture frame and a tote bag to take home all for a studio cost of $ 10 each and the cost of whatever it is you are making.
The owners were beyond fantastic. Enthusiastic, helpful (we are not naturally a crafty folk), and gave excellent suggestions to improve our pieces while still allowing them to be OURS. What a great idea and a perfect town to have it in. I know we will be back there several times a year! What a gem.
